Today I ordered curbside pickup. I ordered the pizza and salad pairing. I had the BBQ pizza with a Greek salad. I added eggs, grapes and cranberries to the salad. The BBQ pizza was far too sweet. It was candy sweet. They put a ton of sugar in their BBQ sauce. Too much in fact. And they heavily layered the BBQ sauce on the pizza. I have a picture that shows how thick it was underneath the cheese. The salad was good. I probably won't get the BBQ pizza again unless someone else makes it and they don't empty the entire bottle of super sugary BBQ sauce on it. read more

What a very pleasant surprise here. The food was fantastic. I absolutely loved it and thought it was a good value. I got the loaded potato soup and a sandwich. The soup had some fantastic flavor. It was rich and a good consistency. It was hearty but still had great flavors with a good balance of the cream, cheese, potato, bacon and more. The pesto chicken was perfect. Bread was light with a slight crunch. The chicken was excellent quality, still juicy, tender, and perfectly warmed. The pesto was smooth and great pungent flavors of the nuts and basil. The only miss was the kids pizza. The adults got a pizza and it was very good. The kid's pizza was mostly dough and was not near the same as the adults. It was not very good. The employees were nice and the restaurant was very clean. I far surpassed what you'd expect from a chain and I will visit a Newks when I see them from now on. read more

The family meal deal is a bargain. My favorite option is 2 pizzas and one salad for 20 dollars. I ordered the sausage and pepperoni and paid 1.25 each for cherry tomatoes and jalapeños to be added. Best freaking pizza ever!! They added just the right amount of the extra toppings for what I paid. Both pizzas were for me because I will eat them for a couple days. My husband loves the salad. Great service, nice and very friendly staff. Even when they are shorthanded you would never be able to tell unless you asked. This is my first time at this location and it fits the Newks bill, great food service and atmosphere. Parking at this location is a little tough but well worth it if you can find a spot. The atmosphere is nice, the food is great and the service is good most of the time. Sometimes they're slow. I waited on a take out order for 2 meals, my brother was able to finish eating his before they even got me mine. It was kind of disappointing that was waiting on a to go order for 30 minutes at a sandwich/pizza place. The good news is the manager credited my meal back and I got it for free or the inconvenience. It took initiative to make up for the problem and I appreciate that. That's only happened a couple times, the other times I've eaten there they've been pretty consistent in service which is why I give them 4 stars. If you love anything with cheese you have to try their Mac an cheese, they have a couple different kinds. My fave is the pimento and cheese. read more

My favorite place to grab a sandwich in Jackson. Newk has many great choices. It's similar to a Mcallister's or a Panera Bread in a lot of ways. My go to is the club sandwich and some soup. The white bean chicken chili is the best. Second on the soup list would be the chicken tortilla but all the soups I've tasted were delicious. The salads are also excellent. The atmosphere is nice. Food quality here is just superior! My pizza was hot and loaded with toppings! Also love that they have multiple diet drink options! Service is always fine and the food is so fresh and delicious. We use them a lot for catering because my office is less than a mile away from this location. People from our office are in there all the time!! Great place to grab s quick bite. I got the salmon ceasar salad, and it was delicious. I got the full size salad and I had enough left over to eat a full meal fit supper. Atmosphere is quiet. I stopped in Sunday afternoon to pick up a slice of their chocolate cake to-go to give to my wife for her birthday. I'm afraid I won't be eating at Newk's for quite a while. My dad and I went there on Father's Day (2020) and it was hard to even be in there. None of the staff were wearing gloves, over half the staff (cooks and servers) had their masks pulled down under their face (not covering their mouth or nose), tables were not being disinfected, and none of the tables were closed to create social distancing options. The drink station was also self-serve (not even McDonald's is doing that at the moment!). When our food arrived I couldn't help but to remember that spittle and germs remain in the air for 9 seconds before they dissipate and the server was speaking forcefully right over our food. My dad asked why she wasn't wearing her mask correctly and she responded that she "hates it" and only wears it because "they make us wear them." The entire time we were in the restaurant she didn't once pull her mask up. The manager didn't even have one on him/near him! I only managed to choke down part of my food before being too grossed out to eat it. Unless they take serious measures against spreading the virus and adhere to the advice of the CDC and the state, we will not be returning or ordering food to go. read more

I had been to Newk's one time before, but most recently ate there on a road trip from New Orleans to Chicago. Newk's is a good sandwich/salad/soup cafe. First time I had the turkey sandwich with the tasty honey mustard dressing. Loved the pasta salad on the side. This second time we ate there, I had the pesto chicken sandwich. My dad had 1/2 of that sandwich and caesar salad. Other friends had sandwiches & soup/salad. All of the food was fresh and tasty. The desserts also looked really good, even though we didn't try them. The service was also really friendly, and accommodated special orders. Plus, drink options include Orangina & Beer. Very disappointed with the crib side service. We ordered food online and we were offered crib side service. I arrived and called the number to let them know that I was there to confirm pickup. We were told they would be right out. 20 minutes later I had to go in only to find our food sitting on the pickup table. Why offer crib side service if you have intentions of providing it.???? I never been to Newk's , but when I got there the service was great . And I got the Debra pizza which was delicious . And it was a lot of pieces of pizza for the price.The prices are great for the amount of food you get . And I will most definitely be coming back to Newk's . This Newk's is the closest to my house and definitely the one I frequent the most! The only reason this review is four stars instead of five is the parking lot. This location isn't all that small, but if you go during a busy time you're just not going to find a parking spot because Newk's shares a parking lot with several different businesses. The staff is always friendly and the food is always the same great quality that you'd expect from Newk's! My go-to is the Newk's Q or the Southern Salad (or as I call it the "chicken salad salad.") The to-go option is convenient if you're in a pinch and the online ordering has been glitch free for me each time I've placed an order! Therefore this current review (with 5 starts) removes the count against them that my previous 1 star review made. To their credit Newk's did not ignore the problems I had experienced in the past. They in fact met that criticism head on and they resolved issues. The food was so fresh and flavorful! I had a Cobb salad, with their honey mustard dressing instead of blue cheese. The salad was beautiful, and the dressing was great-sweet with a little kick of spice. My kids had turkey sandwiches from the kids menu-they were very generous in size and they loved the bread!
