This was our first time eating at Newks and it was a good experience. The staff is very helpful and polite. You Oder from a menu on the wall at the cash register. Pay and either wait to take your food home or you get a number to have them bring your food to you. Then they take care of cleaning up after you leave. The cheesesteak sandwich was pretty good. I only ate half because I was full but I don't think I would get it again. At $12 a sandwich it was only worth $8. The side salad was very leafy but it did taste good. The pizza was thin crust (only kind they offer) It was a little too greasy for my taste. I had to dab it off before I could eat it. Overall it was ok but only for something different. Wish there was a way to make Newks pay DoorDash to bring the food they leave out. This has happened too many times. It just happened again today, so I drove there to pick up the Item left out of our DoorDash order. No "sorry for our mistake", no "sorry to have inconvenienced you"...nothing......I said "thank you", she said nothing. We prefer shopping at the Sams Club in Daphne instead of the one in Pensacola so while over this way we decided to drop into another place we enjoy, Newks..!! You simply can't go wrong eating here. The food is fresh and delicious and the staff always goes above and beyond. Especially happy to see The Taco Salad back on the menu (it's a seasonal item). I visited Newk's several times with my mother when visiting her recently. She absolutely adores this place and goes often. She loves their chicken salad, but I was unable to try it because there were pecans in it and I'm allergic. Would be wonderful if they offered a version of it without the tree nuts. I had the turkey sandwich, the tuna, and a caesar salad on the three visits. The salad was crunchy and fresh, but doused with a bit too much dressing for my taste. The sandwich was good, but the bacon wasn't cooked all the way through and the roll was a bit tough to chew. I did have the potato/leek soup with one sandwich and it was quite good. You receive a large cup for your drink and refills are free. The cups are reusable, so take it home and use it. The one thing that was off-putting was the ordering process. The person taking our order all three times seemed as if the last thing they wanted to do was to take our order. I don't know whether it was due to how busy they were or if it was that the three separate individuals just weren't/aren't happy in their work. It's hard to have a completely enjoyable experience when your first encounter is someone with a sour attitude. Good food, good service, pleasant staff. Food and style rather similar to Panera Bread. No complaints so far. The problem for us is the drink cups. Also the reason we won't eat there again. Nice large PLASTIC cups that end up in the landfill. Not reusable cups that get washed at the restaurant but cups you take out with you and throw away later or throw them away right there. We have stainless steel straws to keep single use plastics out of the landfill and prefer not to add nice big plastic cups into the landfill. Paper cups that biodegrade would be so much better. This issue was a deal breaker for us. read more

Good food, very popular and very crowded. Poor table service. Make sure you have everything you ordered and all the utensils you need before the wait staff leaves your table. Be aware that the salad and soup servings are large...I ordered a cup of the Thai soup ( which I really enjoyed) but the cup size was larger than most cup sizes. We eat at this Newk's location frequently. Obviously it has the same menu and the same fantastic bar full of extras as the other locations. Those bread and butter pickles are always so crisp and refreshing. I've been eating at Newk's for years and I've loved everything I've tried. My favorites are the pesto chicken sandwich which also has roasted peppers and goat cheese on it, the lobster crab bisque, the black and blue salad and the shrimp and avocado salad. The pizzas are great too. They have a thin and crispy crust and they're made with quality ingredients and cheese. Their cakes are amazing! They're so moist and delicious. The strawberry cake is my absolute favorite, but you can't go wrong with any of them. The prices are average for an upscale soup and sandwich place. The service is always friendly. read more

Newks is our "go to" place when we are traveling and want a quick good meal. We know the food will be fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. We each usually get the Pick a Pair, so we can have sandwich and salad or soup. Their basil tomato soup is really good, pasta salad is tasty, and all the sandwiches are great. Their salads are huge and filling, and come with a variety of toppings. Service is quick as you order at the counter with food brought to your table. read more

This one is no different, and actually a little better than your average Newk's. I love the extra croutons that are available, and when those are cooked just right, well that's an easy 5 stars for me. My husband and I love eating here. The selections for eat in and take out are awesome! We shared one of the pizzas. Delicious! My husband was able to get a 1/2 Caesar salad. He enjoyed it. I ordered a seasonal salad but wasn't allowed to just order 1/2 salad like others on the menu. It was their summer spinach salad with grilled chicken and strawberries and watermelon and a raspberry dressing. While delicious, it was way to big for one person. Would have been perfect as a 1/2 salad. The raspberry tea is good, just a little sweeter than I like so I added some unsweetened tea to it. We still love Newk's and will be back. read more

My husband & I stopped by Newk's for lunch because I had been receiving BOGO coupons in my email. It was our first time there. Upon arriving I wasn't able to find the coupons on my phone. The manager overheard what was going on. He immediately stepped over to the register and said "No problem, we'll still give you the BOGO deal". I thanked him, and we proceeded to order. A minute later he returned as I was paying with a huge delicious looking slice of red velvet cake, handed it to me and said, "Enjoy! Welcome to Newk's!" We ordered Newk's tonight knowing that we wouldn't be able to make it to the grocery store on time and desperate to get something good to eat after spending more hours than expecting cleaning our boat. We placed the order on the mobile app (Mediterranean pizza with shrimp for me and turkey sandwich for my husband), and headed that way. We realized we weren't going to make it before they closed, so my husband called to cancel our order. The manager assured us that she would have our food ready and waiting, even though we wouldn't make it until close. When we arrived, our food was ready, and the manager and one of her employees were so nice to us. She checked to make sure we had everything and went out of her way to get the drink we wanted even though the entire staff was cleaning. Our food was amazing; it always is. Everything always tastes fresh, and you can fully customize everything. We love this Newk's! It's one of our main stops when we have no time to cook! read more

Super disappointed in the quality of this place. I came in this evening and was greeted with 3-4 dirty tables with food and plates stacked high. I chose a booth without any plates only to sit down to an unwiped table with food smeared and crumbs. There were lots of workers but they didn't seem interested in keeping the place tidy and inviting. They were mostly walking around playing with their hair and talking to each other. I ordered a pimento cheese sandwich like I always do and received a bread with maybe a tablespoon of pimento cheese smeared on the whole sandwich. I asked them to remake it because the first go around only covered half my sandwich. When I got the remake it wasnt better. I've always enjoyed this sandwich and the pimento cheese is usually at least half of an inch thick between the slices. I don't know if it's poor training or lack of care. I will be going back to Newks but not at this location - Super unimpressed with this place and won't be spending $12 for bread and chips again. read more

If you want something different this place is great ! The salads are to die for and the homemade dressings outstanding ! I like the pizza and how unique some of the choices are . The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is when it comes to the online ordering. The website is great and very easy to navigate so there isn't any issue when it comes to that . I have found when asking for no tomatoes etc or adding for an extra charge of corse extra items to a salad etc that most of the time I still receive what I didn't want and didn't get the extra paid for more so than not. I still use the online ordering, but have found the order most definitely has to be checked before I leave and I have to allot myself extra time just Incase it is incorrect. We got take out tonight due to Covid, we called in and they said our order would be ready in 10 minutes. We drove there and immediately when we parked they came out to the car with our food. I love newks and I come here a lot, but today our cashier was rude (didn't smile, ask how we were, etc). I spoke to her first and I think the only thing she said to me was if I wanted a copy of my receipt. One drink machine was out of ice and the other barely had anything in it. Tables and chairs were dirty with food and stuff all over the floor. This will not keep me from coming here, but they need to step it up! read more

I ordered take out 3 times last week, all 3 times the order included the Southern Salad. First time, the order was perfect. The salad contained the same quantity of ingredients as when we eat there in the restaurant. The second time, there were 1/2 the ingredients...grape tomatoes, croutons, and most disappointing, the chicken salad. I used my scale to measure the quantity and it amounted to 2.6oz. I called and asked what the serving size of chicken salad was that was on the Southern Salad and was told 5 to 5 1/2 oz. I then explained my issue and was given an apology that included credit for another Southern Salad. On Thursday, I called in my order of redemption and when I got home opened the salad to find plenty of croutons, but only 5 grape tomatoes and 2.9 oz of chicken salad. The chicken salad is the whole point of this salad and should be the same standard 5 oz every time regardless of whether it is dine-in or take-out. Consistency counts! Shame on me for not double checking before driving home but I shouldn't have to check. We eat here on a regular basis and only recently have ordered curb side. So aggravating and disappointing. read more

Fresh food, friendly faces, and a clean restaurant. What more could you ask for? This location is located in a big shopping center, but it's relatively easy to find. They have the normal range of Newk's menu items, complete with pizzas, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Don't forget the big plastic cups for drinks. read more

I was driving through on my way home and needed to stop for some food. I have heard of Newk's before because it is everywhere in Florida, but I actually have never eaten here. Decided it was time to try it and I did like it. I ordered the Italian sandwich and I loved it! The different types of meat were so delicious and the Hot Cherry Peppers added such a great kick. I could have a jar of that stuff at home if possible. There was the right amount of toppings and seasonings on this sandwich. Would definitely eat this again. As a side item I had the Pulled Pork & Corn Chowder. I love me some corn, but this was slightly weird with the pork. The chowder actually had a bit too much pork and was stuffed with meat. It felt like a meal on its own. Overall decent flavor, but I would probably get a different soup next time or maybe a salad. Finished it down with a Coca-Cola and it was all good. This location is very clean, plenty of seating available and staff was friendly. This experience has made me appreciate Newk's and I will be going to the ones near me more often now. read more

We love Newk's and this location when it first opened was the level of quality we've come to expect from Newk's. However the last couple of times we've eaten here the food wasn't that good and the service was poor. Our last visit we waited at least 40 minutes for our food which was inadequate. When we politely complained about how long it took to get our food we were practically ignored. We won't be going back to this location which is disappointing because the next nearest Newk's is at least 40 minutes away. read more

The food and tea was good, but overpriced. I suspect it was due to the fact that they over staffed with younger loitering workers. Newks is opening soon in Dothan Alabama and I hope the same trend is not set their. I forgot to mention the 20 minutes it took to get our sandwiches, we could see our food sitting on the counter for at least 10 minutes, while the communing employees hovered over it.
