Bisque always a great choice, no so much any meat chunks this time just cream based broth. Still tasty. Newk Q sandwich is my go to. Nice and toasted and good flavor. We stopped here on our way to Dallas for a quick lunch, the lady taking our order was all confused, the food came in 5 minutes We ordered the spicy chicken pizza and got the shrimp pizza, they eventually replaced it but it was horrible. We ordered the veggie sub, no mushrooms add avocado, they charged for the avocado but the sub had 3 sad brown slices of avocado and some red bell pepper slices and that's all, pesto, red pepper slices and avocado slices, so unacceptable for a $10 sub We ordered grilled cheese with fruit for the kids, it was a sad piece of sub with some melted cheddar on top unseasoned, the kids didnt care for it. Extremely healthy and fresh food. Expansive choices and something for everyone! Chicken salad was wonderful. Just wet enough without making the bread soggy. Flavorful old fashion taste too! The pizza was fabulous as well as the chef salad. The salads are large enough portions for splitting. The shrimp Po-boy was good, but our least favorite of the above selections. Great find as we were passing through arkansas on way to texas. Delicious, nutritious and top notch staff w fast service. Fun, clean and casual w a nice outside patio too. My pesto chicken ceasar pasta salad was loaded w chicken and yummy pesto flavor. The shrimp salad at next table had lots of huge shrimp. I heard another customer saying the Mediterranean pizza was their favorite. They had small containers of extras like peppers, pickles, parmesan, lemon and packaged thin breadsticks as free extras. It's literally just chicken salad on a bed of lettuce with tiny bite size croutons (perfect by the way) and tiny tomatoes. Once you walk in there is a large menu so you can place your order, get your number, find a table (which you will have many options) and then wait for your order to be taken to you. Salad was okay, nothing too special but I guess it's to be expected from a quick serve restaurant like this. The sandwich was decent. Chili was not good at all. Don't do it...I mean it. You will regret it. Not good.... Ambience of McDonalds Got a Greek steak salad ....the "steak" was thinly sliced beef for a sandwich. Maybe this was an Arbys salad? I love Newk's in Hot Springs, and the Texarkana location is great, too! It's the same great menu, but if you've never been, you will love the variety and the quality of the food. I tend to get the Steak sandwich with grilled onions and horseradish, and I love the broccoli cheese soup. The salads are fresh and they are huge. The tea is wonderful and fresh, and I love that they have so many options in drinks. Of course, everyone enjoys the round table up front- the pickles, the croutons, breadsticks, etc. My only issue was the new fruit cup side item. Y'all need to do one like Chick Fil-A who is killing it with strawberries, blueberries, mandarin oranges, and a small bit of apples. Newk's has one sad little fruit cup....nothing but cantaloupe and honeydew melon. My mom's fruit cup had a tiny piece of strawberry and pineapple. Everything else is wonderful. read more

My coworker had such great things to say about this place and we eventually decided to dry it during one of our lunch meetings. My first thought was how nice the interior was and I enjoyed being able to look at the large sized menu on the stand. I ordered the spicy chicken pizza with Mac and cheese. The lady who took my order told me the Mac and cheese came with bacon which wasn't what the menu said. I tried to convince her that there might be an upcharge for bacon. After she finished ringing all our orders, she realized bacon was an add on item and then scrambled to fix the whole order. My guess is that she's a new staff so I wasn't really too bothered other than the fact that we were pressed for time. Honestly I was so disappointed in the pizza. It was bland and very dry. I had to add pepper flakes and hot sauce just to make it edible. Not sure if I just picked the wrong item to try but it was pretty disappointing. If I wasn't starving and on a lunch meeting, I would have gone somewhere else. The Mac and cheese was decent. I'm not a huge Mac and cheese eater but I can tell the difference between decent Mac and cheese and fantastic Mac and cheese. Will I try this again? Who knows. Whatever you do, stay away from the spicy chicken pizza. read more

We ate lunch on the patio here during a pitstop on our drive from Dallas to Nashville. It was the perfect place to lunch with two toddlers during the time of Covid! The staff was nice, the menu is extensive (including Splenda-sweetened iced tea!) and the food is good. All the staff were wearing masks and gloves. It took quite some time to get one of our meals, but it was a really busy time. Stroller Status: This is an ideal place to come with kids. In fact, when we were there it was teeming with families with young children. There is tons of space to maneuver and park your stroller. The restaurant has plenty of high chairs, which were pretty new and very clean. The women's restroom has a nice, new and clean changing table in the accessible stall, which is great for privacy. read more

Stopped here on the way to TN and I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was SO good! They put cheese on theirs which I thought I wouldn't like it but it added something I feel like has been missing from every chicken salad sandwiches I've ever eaten. The bread isn't too thick and is lightly crispy on the outside like a bagel and it has a great chew. Tomato soup was great too, complex and creamy. The staff at this location are really friendly and the place is clean. The temperature inside was nice too which I think is really important in hot ass Texas. Wow this brand new Newk's is on fire and tasting great... Passed through the area and were excited when we saw Newk's Eatery because it's one of our favorites. This location is brand new and was particularly busy this day and we called in takeout. The staff was very friendly and even though they were busy they took the time to look the order over before giving it to us. Also the bread stick and condiment station was perfect like you would expect at any Newk's. For sandwiches and friendly staff this is our favorite place now. This was our 2d visit and just as good as the 1st. My wife didn't like the cole slaw, no problem. They asked what other side she'd like and brought out the fruit salad for her. She said it was fresh fruit and delicious! I noticed that they are constantly cleaning as they work, both behind the line and sweeping the floor and bussing tables. Both of our sandwiches were modified club sandwiches on toasted hoagie buns. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The manager, that gave us our military discount, thought my caramel cake slice was too small. So he took it and gave a larger piece, not putting the small slice back in the cooler. I give Newkirk's an A+! read more
