Very friendly helpful staff. I told the cashier, Dillon, it was my first time here. He took his time and went over the menu with me. Made suggestions and told me what was popular. Then he scooped up a cold pizza threw it in a box and asked to comp my salad without making one I said No I'm hungry so he made it gave shrimp on side. . I love Newks because of their condiment bar where garlic, peppers, Parmesan cheese, and other goodies are available. The Tyler location has removed all of those items and states they are available upon request, except for the garlic cloves, which are no longer available. Totally changes the flavors when added to their Newks Q pizza. While the pizza is still good, it pales in comparison to it having garlic and parm. I've been to their Monroe, LA, location numerous times and have always had an exemplary experience. The Tyler location, not so much. Good portion, served on a clever slanted bowl (similar to those used at Farmer Boys restaurants). Super portion was a meal in itself. The sweet tea was delicious. Facility was clean, men's restroom was clean and well stocked. The staff are friendly, attentive and the pay attention to the diners needs. Honestly, I think the food taste great! However, every time I go, there's a problem! I asked for no dairy; and that means no cheese and no mayonnaise! Though, they put both. I walked up to the counter and asked for a new item. They completely forgot about my food and I had to go back up and remind them, I also recall my spoon being dirty. I tried cleaning it but it was like it was permanent! Then my friend ordered Chicken I'm Salad and asked for Creole Mustard on the side and what a SHOCK! They forgot the Mustard too! My husband and I have been here a number of times, and tended to choose to eat the same things, as we thoroughly enjoyed them. I usually chose a five cheese pizza, which has pesto on. I had been very ill, and finally felt like eating something other than toast and bland things, so he went to Newks and picked up a pizza. The very first bite, I almost broke a tooth! There was a pebble in it (had to fish it out of my mouth. Whether it came from the basil in the pesto, or what I don't know, and frankly don't care. That was it.
