My wife and I ate here on Wednesday afternoon, April 15, 2026. Every time we've eaten here, it has always been a good experience. Of course, we always start out with the fresh salad and the soft and delicious bread sticks. My wife went crazy over the salad... she had 3 1/2 helpings of the salad even before working on her entrée. She had the Stuffed Ziti Fritta. She could only eat a half of her entrée because of all the salad she ate. She did eat rest of it at home of course. I had the Lasagna Fritta. The alfredo and meat sauce was so good. The meat sauce had a generous amount of meat. We both had the ice sweet tea for our drinks. Man the tea was freshly brewed and every bit as good as any sweet tea you'll ever drink. The service was fantastic. I wish I could remember our server's name (I believe her name was Brittany) but she was very attentive and really took care of us. And the manager (Jamil) came by and introduced himself to us and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. He was so personable. I travel to Tyler multiple times each month and have visited this Olive Garden location on numerous occasions over the past three years. Unfortunately, my experience has been consistently disappointing. From the moment guests enter, there is little to no sense of hospitality. I am rarely greeted upon arrival, and there is typically no acknowledgment when leaving. On nearly every visit, employees appear to be gathered together in conversation rather than actively engaging with guests. As someone who frequently sits at the bar, I often find it takes an excessive amount of time to be recognized or offered service. Additionally, the quality of the drinks has been consistently below expectations. What stands out most is the overall atmosphere. The staff often give the impression that customer service is not a priority, and that guests are more of an interruption than the focus of the business. After experiencing the same issues repeatedly over several years, I have finally decided not to return. It is disappointing because I have continued giving this location opportunities to improve. Going forward, I would rather dine elsewhere. While Applebee's next door may not be my first choice for food, their team consistently provides attentive service and makes customers feel valued--something that has been missing from my experiences at this location. 2 stars bc food is alright. read more

It was busy and there was a wait but it was a brief one. Our order consisted of the fried ziti for an appetizer and since I had never eaten them I was pleasantly surprised in their taste. It's a franchise restaurant so the menu is familiar but all was tasty and we did not have to wait long for our food. I recommend the light portion of Lasagna Classico and the Chicken Alfredo The server could have returned more often to refill the drinks but nevertheless it was an enjoyable meal. read more

The food was excellent and the service was incredible and the ambiance was about noise due to it being a Sunday afternoon and it was a very busy lunch rush. It was my first time at an Olive Garden and from what I heard it's great especially the breadsticks. The breadsticks lived up to the hype and the atmosphere made me feel like I was in some sort of romantic movie I'm not gonna lie. I got the cheese ravioli with a chicken & gnocchi soup... I never got that soup. My waitress Gracee was really nice about it and offered different kinds of soup samples to try. She was really nice and made my first time experience more welcoming. I love this place. My favorite is the all you can eat soup, salad and breadsticks. My first bowl of soup is a half and half mix of pasta e fagioli mixed with chicken gnocchi - so good and was a recommendation from a waiter a few years ago. I just ordered and picked up at curbside. The girl that brought out my meal was friendly. I asked if I could get a couple cups of ranch dressing. She went to get them and never came back. Waiting 15 more minutes and then left so my food wouldn't get cold. After I arrived home, I noticed the ranch dressing g cups that were in the bag had harhardly any dredressing in them. The fullest one was less than half understand the economy is hard, but is this the right way to save money? It makes me wonder what else this manager is skimping on. read more

We arrived over an hour before they closed just to have desert. The hostess sat us in a location far from the entrance, but I liked the coziness. The waitress showed up only to say she had been pulled and her friend could wait on us. I said that was fine. Then she said that we had to move to a different section. I asked her if her friend could come over where we were because my husband is cripple and we'd rather not have to move. She said 'then I will have to wait on you.' She did not seem a bit happy about it when she went to take our order, so I became visibly frustrated and told her that we'd just move and to direct us toward her friend's table. My husband got his cane and we proceeded to go to another section. While we were there I saw why she wanted us to move. She wanted to clean her section so she could leave. I don't know who messed up. It could have been the person who she said pulled her, it could have been the hostess, or it could have been the waitress. Whom ever the person was, I feel like it was not professionally done. Not to mention it was our 57th wedding anniversary, and we had just gotten bad service at Red Lobster. I hadn't been to the Olive Garden in Tyler for quite a while. The staff was great the food - not so much. I ordered my all time favorite at Olive Garden, the spinach artichoke dip and it was as good as I expected. However, the Minestrone soup is not at all as good as it once was. The stock was not as rich tasting as it used to be. I also ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and it came with two giant meatballs which I DID NOT WANT, I just wanted meat sauce which, was kind of skimpy. Ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo. I have enjoyed the fettuccine as part of the Tour of Italy takeout. The server asked if I wanted meat with that. She said I could get grilled chicken. So I agreed to the grilled chicken. I had to take all the chicken from the pasta -- it was rubbery and certainly not grilled, I only ate the fettuccine. Warning so business travelers don't waste their time: Apparently for this Olive garden, "Delivery" is a maybe-kinda-sorta-if sort of thing. THey have to get permission from the manager, etc. NOT a good way to retain customers who are in town at a hotel for work, looking to order something, deliberately - purposefully - refine their search by "D E L I V E R Y" only... to waste their time looking at Olive Garden's menu, then call in... and find out that... well.... maybe they do? Salats were delicious. My son ordered Meat Balls & Spaghetti which were tasty but served cold. We returned the plate and he received a new plate with warm food. We had two orders of salmon with broccoli. The salmon was good but small! Two thirds of the plate was broccoli! No potatoes or anything. Sorry looking plate! Came in and had Alli as an waitress. She was rude from the start. Fine I can handle rude or burnt out. But her. clothes were dirty and I saw her leave the bathroom and not washing her hands. I asked to speak to the manager but was told one was not available. I did see the manager at the bar talking to the servers, so it was a CHOICE to not come speak to me. Let me begin by saying that the food was hot and tasty when we finally were served. They over-promised and under-delivered on the time it would take to have a table ready for 9 people. Was told 20 minutes and that turned into 45. When we finally got a table our appetizer was sent to the wrong table and had to be remade. Our main courses took 1 hour and 25 minutes to get to us. That is an insane amount of time to wait. The restaurant was not busy. Our waiters were fantastic and the management was very nice and apologetic but I can't help but think she has gotten really good at apologizing because this seems to be a common occurrence. We were offered free desserts but asked for a discount instead because we really didn't want to spend anymore time at the restaurant.
