    Attended my niece's wedding at this venue and I was impressed. Plenty of parking, nice, large but not huge outdoor venue, very clean grounds, restrooms were very clean and small indoor barn-like building is great for dancing

    This is a really cool place to get married. Last night we attended a marriage ceremony at the Newland Barn in Huntington Beach. This place doesn't really have a restaurant or other amenities other than just a nice outdoor wedding area which you can book with tables and chairs, then order catered food. We had a blast. I was the only person out of 106 people wearing a mask. Lol. Congrats to Tara and Nathan on their wedding.

    I was part of a faith conference today with After the Rain Christian Counseling and the place was tucked in behind Mother's Market. Quaint and pretty grounds that we prettied up with some rustic boho style for the tablescapes and backdrop. The seamless indoor/outdoor flow proved to be necessary as nature decided to gust some hella high winds tonight and knocked most everything over. So that was a downer. But there's ample parking and a beautiful event setting for 150 people or less, although they did say max 200. Discounts for non profits.

    As a photographer I love this location. It's always well cared for. If you are getting married here and want us to capture your day just message us. Parking can be a bit tight but it's not that far to walk. It's a hidden gem you will just love. It's entirely an outdoor venue.

    Went to a family wedding here last evening..Inside the Barn was small, yet perfect for buffet tables and or hosted/non hosted bar..Parking adjacent was perfect and their were staffers watching the lot..The grounds were fine and the event was very nice..The only negative I saw, if you have more then 150 people in your wedding, I'd suggest looking elsewhere..If not you should consider the Newland Barn..

    Insanely beautiful location to have a wedding! We had our wedding in February, and loved every moment of it. The location is perfect, the price is insanely affordable and you're able to bring in your own vendors! We had our ceremony and reception here and our family had nothing but amazing things to say about it. The communication with the managers were amazing as well!

    I had my wedding reception here in April 2022 and i couldn't have asked for it to be better! It was easy to reserve a Friday for us and very affordable to do while on a tight budget! The only people that were not friendly were the people from the huntington beach library... You have to go there to turn in the application for the rental... and the lady in there is very belittling but i only had to see her for a short time!

    Our wedding at the Newland Barn was beautiful! This is an affordable perfect place for an outdoor wedding. We had 150 guests and it was perfect! Rick and Garrett who work at the site are incredibly helpful and responsive. The City of HB who rents the venue was also very supportive and helpful with questions. Being a resident of HB, I was very happy to host my daughter's wedding in our hometown and also use all HB vendors. Everyone works together very nicely!

    We had the most amazing wedding ceremony and reception here. We had 200 people, it was in October and the weather was perfect. Affordable with all the right vendors. We went with Harbor Rental for the Chairs and Tables, Taco Surf for Food, Nick at Socal DJ for the tunes, Nothing Bundt Cakes for the sweets. The balloons were a family friend, The flowers were a family friend and the center pieces were a collaboration of my friend who does flowers and myself.

    Me and my husband got married here. We were at MAX # of guest, and that includes your staff. We had chairs set up for the ceremony in front of gazebo with the tables also set up to the Side in front of the water tower. We had the same chairs moved over for the reception to the tables. Dance floor and DJ set up: the DJ was set up INSIDE per the rules inside the middle doors, facing outward. We used the side doors for exiting and entering. (See pictures) We used the concrete area in front of the barn for dancing. INSIDE THE BARN we set up 2 buffet lines, a dessert table and a photo booth with a little room to spare. CLEANING: hire someone to clean BEFORE & AFTER (Required) because you can't guarantee the bride from the night before hired a good cleaning person! Catering and rentals: we used OCSA culinary program for our catering, which was fantastic and they coordinated the rentals via Signature party rentals! They did great and we're budget friendly.

    Just had our wedding here, Saturday, 5/20/23. The venue was beautiful, couldn't have asked for a better day. Garrett, the venue coordinator, was a literal Angel! Answered every question and concern I could have, helped in the morning and helped at the end of the night. He really made this such an easy day for me, and I couldn't thank him enough. There were tiny hiccups but nothing from keeping me from recommending this venue. I would do it again if I could!

    Bathrooms full of spiders, extremely watered down hand soap. I had high expectations and was disappointed.

    What is the situation with music? I read mixed reviews as far where DJ can be situated. I'm thinking a summer wedding, but the barn has no AC, I'm worried it will be too hot?

    Hello Winning, Yes, 7 / 6ft tables and 45 stackable chairs are provided.

    Is it true you can't have any tents or coverings in the event it rains? I was told that "only tables w umbrellas attached"? My wedding is upcoming November. Please help!

    Tents are only available thru Harbor Party Rentals. They set up that day and take down that night.

    Does the venue allow candles in glass votives or hurricanes to protect the flame or is it no flames at all?

    Absolutely no open flames. You must use LED candles only.

    Do photographers need a business license from Huntington Beach?

    Nope, use any photographer you want!

    I'm interested in booking an event in February and am concerned about rain...can you put up tents outside?

    Harbor rentals and only harbor rentals can install tents. They put them up that day and take them down that night.

The venue itself is stunning, elegant, light, airy, and uplifting, which was exactly what we wanted for this occasion. The room's clean, timeless aesthetic required little decoration, yet it felt warm and intimate. The table spacing was perfect, offering both comfort and closeness for our guests. The accommodations were top-notch. The team provided a large screen and laptop for our video montage, a cable to play personal music through the in-house speaker system, as well as a microphone and podium. They even supplied an easel for our loved one's portrait and an additional table for photographs, ensuring that every personal touch was seamlessly integrated. The linen selection was extensive, but we opted for classic all-white linens, which complemented the elegant setting beautifully. The service was impeccable. Ana and Bryana were not only responsive, professional, and incredibly accommodating, but also genuinely kind and authentic, a quality that extended to the entire staff. They ensured that everything ran smoothly, and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The water and tea pitchers were always full, plates were cleared discreetly, and the overall hospitality was second to none. The food was exceptional, our guests couldn't stop raving about it! While everything was incredibly delicious, the Waldorf salad, fresh vegetables, warm rolls, chicken and cookies were particular standouts.     Our family recently celebrated our son's HS graduation party at XO Lounge. We had a wonderful…read morebeginning-to-end experience that included incredibly responsive, thorough, and professional communication with Jamie--the main contact in charge of booking, planning, and operational oversight. On the day of the event, Hope, Hai, Lola (bartender) and the remaining staff were unbelievably helpful, accommodating--and integral to our efficient set-up and smooth execution of a successful celebration. XO Lounge is a very posh venue with modern décor. The nightclub vibe and setup provided the core foundation--that minimized decorative needs for our graduation-themed event. Our event hosted approximately 150 guests--that we comfortably housed in the smaller nightclub event area. Despite opting out of seated dining, our area easily accommodated our guests with the use of the booths and lounge-style sofa set-up for central-space seating. We still had surplus space leftover--that was allocated for the dance floor and bar area. The nightclub further opens into an enclosed courtyard--allowing for additional cocktail tables, bar stools, and lounge-roaming for our guests. Our party featured a standard photo-booth setup with an 8-ft props table--as well as a 360-spinning video-booth in the front entryway lobby area (just to the left of entrance). Our 360-video-booth included an inflatable enclosure--that successfully fit in the entryway alcove. Our rented XO Lounge space features a stage with a floor-to-ceiling TV-grid. This large multi-screen TV--along with dozens of TVs lining the entire room-walls--cycled a slideshow of our graduate's photos throughout the evening. XO Lounge further features a full PA system, DJ plug-ins for surround sound (you must provide your own DJ/music/equipment), full nightclub equipment (e.g. spinning disco-ball light machines, fog machines, laser strobing, etc.), full bar & bartender staff, etc. I LOOVED that XO included all the needed tables of various lengths and sizes--with fitted fabric *tablecloths* included. Fabric tablecloths may seem like a minimal feature, but fitted cloth coverings elevate a sophisticated aesthetic while alleviating the patron from the added costs for these supplies. Hope oversaw our function and was so attentive--always offering to help with literally *anything*--to reduce stress for the hosts (I really appreciated that!). The venue was surprisingly affordable--with a nominal outside-catering fee; the staff were professional and delightful; and the party space and outdoor-courtyard areas fit our guests, photo/video-booths, food vendors, Welcome table, Sweets table, and largescale Balloon Arch. XO Lounge features one-stop-shop booking and planning services for all party needs, (i.e. catering, decoration, DJ, photo-booth vendors, etc.)--though we did not partake of these additional offerings. Hosting an event on this scale is stressful (IYKYK), but this venue and staff minimized the stress and streamlined our experience for a fantastic celebration. Our family would definitely book with XO lounge again for future event planning needs--and would highly recommend to our friends, family, and others. Our guests had the BEST time; and we had a GREAT PARTY celebrating our newest grad!

Luckily for us, 3 Petals took those wise words and said "hold my champagne." We gave 3 Petals team a large task of 270 guests, a moody romantic theme, picky eaters, quality drinks, amazing food, and a floral chandelier that made us gasp. Not only did the team understood the assignment, they handled all of it without missing a beat. We can't talk about 3 Petals without talking about the staff. And we have to start with Ashley, because she deserves every thank you we could give. As our POC for the entire year leading up to the wedding, she was an absolute sweetheart from start to finish. Every email answered promptly, every question, no matter how small, was met with patience and clarity. It felt like planning a wedding with a friend who genuinely wanted our day to be perfect. Ashley truly set the tone for what the entire 3 Petals experience would feel like, and that standard carried through every single interaction with their team. The venue staff as a whole are warm, genuine, and flexible. You can tell they actually love what they do. The venue itself is a true blank canvas. We wanted a moody, romantic theme and 3 Petals team suggested maroon draping. Game changer. It completely transformed the space and gave the room a warm and intimate atmosphere. The team provided extra lighting to balance the moodiness of the room and made sure our linen choices tied everything together perfectly. Their in-house rentals are fairly priced, their florist team is incredibly talented, and the floral chandelier they created was honestly more stunning in person than anything we had imagined. Since they have established relationships with so many local vendors, coordinating everyone was smooth and stress-free. Now the food. We need to talk about the food because this is where 3P truly shines. Many of our guests were from families of great cooks. We are talking picky Asian moms and aunties who will absolutely let you know if something did not meet the mark. Every single one of them complimented the food. This was the highlight of the wedding for us. We went with Signature Menu 2 and swapped the first course for cocktail hour bites, and that decision alone was worth it. We had tried the cocktail food at our tasting and knew immediately it was going to be a hit, but the actual wedding night confirmed it. Every single item was amazing. The curry shrimp was juicy and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of curry flavor, served on a crispy bite that had the most satisfying crunch. The halibut ceviche was a fresh, beautifully executed Asian fusion take. And the filet beef cubes were tender, soft, and seasoned so perfectly that every single bite felt intentional. And those were just the appetizers. Dinner raised the bar even higher. Our front runners from the moment we tried them were the twice cooked short ribs and the steamed sea bass, and they delivered on the wedding night exactly as promised. The short ribs fell completely off the bone and melted in your mouth. The sea bass was incredibly fragrant and cooked to perfection. The soup was delicate yet packed with generous amounts of shrimp and crab, and they did not skimp on a single thing. And the lobsters with garlic noodles? Bomb! All our guests raved about these dishes. The compliments did not stop at the wedding either. Weeks later, guests were still bringing up the food unprompted. That speaks volumes about what By 3 Petals puts on the table. Our guests really came for the wedding and stayed for the drinks. The full top shelf bar meant every cocktail actually tasted like a cocktail. No watered down drinks, no flimsy plastic cups, just well-made cocktails served right. The venue went above and beyond by helping us craft his and her signature drinks. It was a small personalized detail that got people talking all night and made the bar feel like part of the experience rather than just a table in the corner.
