As such, it is a convenient place to pick up a few cases of Boddington, Flying Fish, or the King of Beers, for your next shindig or to get you through the week. Yes. It still feels like a cool, damp warehouse, mainly because it is. Floor to ceiling cardboard encasing a cool twenty-four is bound to make everything moist. Don't forget to go next door to the State Store, a/k/a Ten Centre Wine and Spirits, to pick up your other alcohol requirements. This one, two punch makes for convenience. The only reason I gave them a two star, not one, is because I respect their selection of beer, especially for such a small place. That being said, the prices are freakin' ridiculous!!! I mean I get it, we're in yuppie Newtown PA, but Jesus H. Christ!!! You're going to pay at least $4 more here for a case of anything. Even cheap crappy beer. Like other reviews state, this place is way too expensive. The selection is good, but a 15 minute ride east and you'll save tons of money. Also, they aren't particularly interested in the customer service side of the business. They are not very friendly, seem bothered when you need help or have a question and are very short with their answers. I'd go elsewhere. read more

Conviently next door to the wine and spirits (quite common in PA) this is my go to beer store as it is for many of us living in the borough. The owner and staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are sure to greet you and also remember their regulars and sometimes their beer of choice. There is the classic 'newtown markup' like the majority of businesses in the borough but it's a small price to pay for having a one stop shop so close for your lagers and whiskey. read more

Small beer store in the center of Newtown. Their selection has improved recently, especially with the start of sales of 12-packs in PA. A number of decent IPA's like Founders, Stone, Bells, and Ballast Point are all usually available, They also have a decent selection of German beers along with the usual American mass produced stuff. Their service is very good and the staff has been helpful when I request it. Will continue shopping here. read more
