Like others here, we did extensive research before hiring a company to replace ALL the windows in our 3-unit condo building. Several different groups visited and provided bids. Roberto, our salesman, was the best by far - listened carefully to OUR questions and answered them all, in contrast to others who delivered a prepackaged sales spiel. He also made himself available at the showroom on short notice so we and our neighbors could see the actual products. NEXT's bid was competitive with the others, so it was a straightforward decision. When installation time came, all the workers were polite and considerate, covering our belongings each day and cleaning up at the end of each workday. We are SUPER HAPPY with the product and quality of workmanship in all respects. When we wrote Next privately about a couple communication/scheduling concerns, they responded promptly and empathically - it's clear they take customer feedback seriously. Scheduled an appointment for a representative to come out and give me an estimate for windows and a sliding patio door. I was told the person would show up at the scheduled time, which was 9:30 a.m. I waited for 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment time, but no one ever showed up. I understand that things can happen, but no one from the company called to let me know if there were any issues. I guess they have enough business and don't need mine. read more

The sales person, Terence Marable, was very professional and answered all questions in detail. We knew absolutely nothing about replacement windows. Very courteous and we even went to the show room with more questions. He followed up and it was not a hard pushy sale appt. The product is outstanding and will be more pricey than other quotes. We considered three quotes and with our age, other home projects to be done, finances, time still to live in home etc., we made final decision to go with another product , but would have preferred to go with "Next door and window" if finances not an issue. read more

The guy was very honest and I told me I should consult with a mason to fix my basement windows which I appreciated because he was right unlike another guy who came out and knew nothing about windows. While they didn't fix my windows I would definitely go with them because they were knowledgeable. Avoid Mr Roof is my warning. read more

Spent a good deal of time researching patio door types and a wide variety of manufacturers and related vendors. Even with all the info learned, still felt like a babe in the woods. However, there was one vendor who stood out amongst the crowd and that vendor was Next Door and Window. Gary, our salesman gave us specific and complete answers to all of my questions, helped us to select a patio door that addressed my concerns, and included a thorough description of the install process. I carefully watched, during the install and was able to see the critical parts of the process that Gary had described to me. It was obvious that the installer was both knowledgeable and capable. He carried all the necessary tools and equipment in his truck and moved efficiently through the install process. Worry free and remolding seem like an oxymoron but when it comes to Next Door and Window, worry free and remolding really works. Just had our patio door replaced and from the time we signed the contract to when the installation was finished the process was exactly the way the salesman explained how things would take place. When the work was finished it was FINISHED, no painting to be touched up, no wood work to be finished and best of all no cleanup to be done. Here is something I bet other window and door companies don't do, the salesman shows up the same day the job is finished to make sure we are satisfied with all the work. How could you go wrong with a contractor like Next Door and Window. We are extremely happy with the end result and highly recommend this company. read more

We had all of our windows replaced by Next and we could not be happier with the results or with the employees. Everyone at this company is pleasant and professional. The Marvin Infinity fiberglass windows are an excellent product. The installation crew worked beautifully together and did a great job. All the window trim is beautiful. Communication with every person from salesman to project manager to installation manager was timely and responsive. I have seen one one-star review (and they did not even use Next!) claiming high prices. I am skeptical of that, and have to add that you get what you pay for. We discovered an issue with one windowsill after installation, called about it and someone came to repair it within a few days. He was unable to fix it to his satisfaction, took multiple photos and sent them on to the trim department to fashion a replacement sill. Great product, great service and nice people. read more

My wife and I recently had some windows replaced in our home. We did a pretty thorough job of evaluating online reviews of window companies (primarily on checkbook.org, yelp.com, and Google). After speaking with several of them, we decided to visit the Next Door & Window showroom in Arlington Heights. Based on that visit, we chose to go with them and were not disappointed. The quality of the work was first-rate and the price reasonable. Bill Stahl, our salesperson, was terrific both when we visited the Arlington Heights showroom and when he came to our home to take measurements. His suggestions were very valuable and much appreciated. The two of technicians (Gedi and Volodymyr) did a terrific job with the installation. They were professional and personable. We'll be happy to use the company again. read more

I did my research when wanting to replace my front door. I saw the highly rated reviews and comments from different websites about the quality work that Next Door and Window performed. I saw the satisfaction from other customers. I am not in that category. When we confirmed the door installation, the sales rep assured me everything would be taken care of and we would not have an issues. The sales rep measured the door and someone from the installation department also came to measure the door. No problems until after the installation of the door is complete. 2 of the side panels are too short. Ok. Someone messed up. It happens but they promise that they will fix the issue. I wait 2 days with no call back from the service department. I call in and find out that the part has been ordered and it'll be about 3 weeks for the next installation. No problem. The door works. I'm happy with everything there. Second installation comes. They fix both sides and let us know that there aren't any problems. Except when I do a closer inspection, the only fixed one side of the door and try to pass off a small hack job as complete. This is what passed as no issues with the repair. So I call the service department again and request a call back since its after hours. No one calls for 2 days. I call in again and I get the same spiel. We apologize blah blah. New part is due in 3 weeks on a Thursday when I will get a call from service to schedule my repair. That Thursday passes with no call. I call in on a Friday and they dropped the ball. I finally get the repair scheduled. And the door is complete. 2 months after promised with extra time taken off to cover for their mistakes. Summary: Door works fine but you need to chase them for every mistake made. They will attempt to hide mistakes from you and only admit to them once they have been contacted. You need to be on the ball to catch the issues and be on point to have them fix it. read more

But I have to say that Frank and his team of installers well words can't speak enough about them my God man how professional clean kind and at time will to listen to my 3 year old tell her storys to. This company sent a salesman to my house who was 30 minutes late and then took an hour of my time and then I literally NEVER heard from him again. They had someone follow up with me twice on email (I told them my experience) and once over the phone (again told them) and that was that. I wanted to buy 24 windows! I bought my windows and spent 20K with a competitor. SO GLAD I didn't go with nextdoor. (This is my third review EVER and first bad one). read more
