I specifically raised concerns to GEICO about the driver-side front tire and suspension. The shop told myself and GEICO that the tire only needed air. After picking up the vehicle and getting on the interstate, I immediately felt abnormal bumping. I pulled over and discovered a visible knot on the outside sidewall of the tire. The vehicle had to be towed to BMW of Tallahassee for a proper inspection. BMW identified over $4,000 in additional damage that the body shop failed to address, including: * A damaged tire * Two damaged rims * Additional suspension-related issues * Evidence that the undercarriage was never properly cleaned, including remaining deer debris from the original accident This means I was released a vehicle that was unsafe to drive. That is unacceptable. Repairs should prioritize safety, and this experience caused unnecessary risk, stress, and additional costs. I would strongly urge others to seek thorough independent inspections if using this shop.

I would not recommend Ahren's-- especially to university students-- based off of my experience with…read moretheir team and their extreme upcharging of parts. Their pricing is not honest at all. I took my car in with serpentine belt issues. For my make and model, this part generally costs $30-$50. Ahren's priced this part at $80. Their diagnostic examine also found belt tensioner issues. For the serpentine and belt tensioner replacement combined, they quoted me $512 of repairs. This is extremely high and gives me the inclination that this is another mechanic in town that is trying to take advantage of college students who are not as informed on car repairs. I do not think the presented quote is fair by any means so thanked them and let them know I would not be having service done their. I was presented with an $85 fee for a half-hour diagnostic look. This fee was not disclosed beforehand at all, was not mentioned verbally, and I did not sign anything agreeing to this fee. Take your car elsewhere. I took my vehicle here just out of convenience of location, but have previously had much better service at the Firestone off of Archer and with Billy's Auto Repair & Towing. UPDATE: I went in to pick up my car and wish I could leave a negative review. If you take your car here and leave without even having any work done, you will be charged an $85 minimum. I asked why I wasn't informed of this in anyway (no signatures, no verbal inform) beforehand and the woman working the front desk had the owner come out. He raised his voice and started asking why I hadn't taken my car to Billy's or somewhere else. They called us again 4 days before we were to return to tell us they lost our truck keys, so they had not started the repair yet. 2 hours later they called to say they found our keys. We told them again we would be in late that same week for the truck. Jan 16, Friday, we called to pay for the repair by phone, so we could pickup our truck Saturday . We were told they had not even started our repair yet! I scrambled to call around to find a rental car for the weekend. I finally found one available at Budget-it cost $300! We drove there first thing Monday, only to find they had just pulled our truck into the shop then proceeded told us that they had no idea when they would finish the job that it could take a few more days! I was very upset and told him how he cost us money and he did not care. He admitted he lost the keys and waited 5 days before calling us to tell us! He also admitted he failed to get our truck into the shop in over 3 weeks time, knowing we were coming back to no vehicle and he then admitted not having anyone let us know it was still not completed or why. No follow up, no customer service. NO APOLOGIES AT ALL. JUST AN OBSTINTANT and ARROGANT ATTITUDE. ONLY INCOMPETANCE FROM THE START. I would not trust this place, as they have proven to be unreliable and incompetent when you need them most!
