Do not use this company. They will kill your palms, shrubs and flowers and lawn and then try to charge you extra money to get the things fixed or promise to fix the things that they killed and then never full fill the promises. The company provide very good service on my grass and Steve is very courteous and know a lot about how to treat my grass and weeds.

First, I was never overly satisfied with NLT. My grass was a weed-filled, patchy mess until I switched back to fertilizing myself. But the big issue is their billing. I prepaid for a 1-year service in May 2019. They performed the service, albeit poorly, and sent me a renewal bill in May 2020. I wasn't interested in renewing, so I just ignored the renewal bill. I never saw them again. To my surprise, they sent me a new bill in October 2020 saying I was 90 days late. Late for what? They claimed they came to my house after the first year expired and serviced my lawn with no contract in place. I never once saw them at my house, and I work from home and have a camera system that alerts me when someone arrives. I politely reminded them that I had no contract and never saw them at my property anyways. Asked them to stop contacting me and abide by their 1-year contract I agreed to. Now, in February 2021, I have a debt collector calling me regarding 3 months of "unpaid" service that I NEVER REQUESTED. I have now had to secure a lawyer to dispute this debt and to contact NLT to alert them of Florida's burden-of-proof laws. Utterly ridiculous that they would come service my home without express permission (though I never saw them here), then proceed to bill me and send the bills to collections. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

Not sure what has happened with this company but it has gone to hell. Monthly bills mentioned that the yard looked great with no issues as our lawn died and was overtaken by weeds. When confronted they indicated that there was nothing that could be done. When I refused to pay until I was made whole they referred our account to a collections company. Companies providing lawn care will often advertise their services by displaying pictures of lawns they have serviced. If you could see the pictures of my lawn serviced by Next Level Turf, you would never want this company to come anywhere near your lawn. The drastic deterioration of my lawn can be seen in these "before and after" pictures. The lawn Next Level Turf began working with was an immaculate yard with completely re-sodded deep, green-colored grass. The same lawn months later had many sizable patches of dead grass. These patches appeared suddenly after a post-emergent herbicidal application on one hot August day. We were told that this seemingly dead grass was normal and that the color would return in two or three weeks. But that didn't happen. In fact, these patches remained exactly as they were for more than two or three months--dead! When voicing concern about this to the company, I was told they could add colorant--a comment that would trigger ridicule from those knowledgeable about lawn care. I sent these pictures to the company, requesting the owner to look at them. When I later met with him, he told me he never looked at them, and offered no explanation why he didn't. During our meeting I expressed my concern that these many sizeable patches of dead grass were likely burns attributable to a faulty misapplication of the post-emergent herbicidal treatment. He looked at each one and offered no alternative explanation, though at the end of the meeting he did note two locations where irrigation adjustments were needed. These adjustments hardly accounted for all the problems in my yard, and he knew that. The owner agreed he would provide me a written response to this situation that would offer his assessment and proposed solution. But he didn't do that, instead I got an email response from a secretary reporting his observation about how nice it was to meet me and that I should confer with the man currently servicing my yard to work through current concerns--in effect, a handoff, not the response he had promised! When reminded that I was still waiting for this promised response, I then got, a week later, the response he didn't want to give, a deceitful response that assessed the problems in my yard as something that "happens with turf and plants seeing that they are a living organism." He took no responsibility for anything! Having experienced this level of dishonesty and incompetency from NLT, I am hoping you will never have this experience. The next level for this company should be honesty and competency. Looking back on how they acted for several months, that would be a big leap. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Mark (the sales guy) has been great. Even though it isn't his job, he has been out here raking mulch, cleaning brush and been great to work with. Don't ever let Alan near your property!!! He ran over one of my trees because he "wasn't paying attention", he used the tractor to destroy two of my vinyl fence panels, instead of getting up the plastic bags the previous owners had under the mulch, he put new mulch on top and said it was done. I have had to clean out the side of my house myself because Alan was "done with that shit" and left. I would not recommend this company to anyone for their home.. I also have not had a good experience with Next Level when we first moved into our house we had gorgeous thick St Augustine grass.....as time went on it became invaded with Bermuda grass which was all as a result of this company not caring and just cranking out as many lawns as possible we went back and forth for a while to try and work with them to make this right. We've used Next Level Turf for lawn care for a number of years, but when we recently bought a house we asked them if they could do some cleaning and clearing on a yard that had been neglected for a number of years. Brandon had a quote to us in no time and was ready to do the work within a day or two. Their quote was very competitive, too. Alan showed up on time, walked the property with us to make sure he understood the scope of wrk, and started in. He worked quickly and efficiently, and within a day had cleaned up and cleared much of the property. At the end of the day he once again walked the property with us to point out the work he had performed as well as make some recommendations about how we should deal with the remaining plantings. He had to return the next day to finish up, again walking around with us to make sure we were satisfied with the work performed and answering any questions we had. While we've always been pleased with Next Level's lawn service, the level of attention to detail and clear commitment to our satisfaction for the work done has convinced us that Next Level Turf will be our go-to in the future for any lawn or landscaping needs. We have been using NLT lawn services for 3 years since we moved to Tampa . They do amazing lawn care , they come weekly do amazing job with cutting our lawn, trimming our shrubs, and palm trees . We also use them for our fertilizer and lawn treatment and treating our palm trees. Our lawn is always green ,, we get compliments on our lawn . Our trees are beautiful and manicured nicely by them . Brandon the owner is hands on and very professional and courteous , he even came out to see our new palm trees when we had questions about them . We use them for our sprinkler service too, when we call for any type of services they come out immediately. The ladies in the office are very friendly and professional. NLT the prices are good too. We are very happy with them and highly recommend them. read more

Thank you for following up with us on our lawn and the progress being made on the fungus issue. We are very appreciative of the fine and responsive customer service we have received. It is abundantly clear that NLT's website is spot on and I quote, "We at Next Level are building a service with great pride and attitude. We will provide your investment with the most detailed care it deserves. We set ourselves apart from the rest by displaying the willingness to help you with your needs. We practice quality communication skills, which ensures you that you always know what to expect. Your concerns are always our priority." We have the invoice stating the fungus is gone and to continue regular maintenance. Interestingly, our sod guy advised us the fungus is still active. Our sod is one year old and now we have to re-sod. The blatant lack of customer service and reluctant disinterested communication has been disappointing to say the least. As a business owner one would expect the customer service promised. I pay as promised. In fact, your company services several lawns in our subdivision. I will happily share with them and everyone else the phenomenal customer care we have received after it taking more than 14 days to get someone here to work on a problem with damage that could have been minimized with prompt service. They all can see our yard to get the picture. Please don't try to blame us and try to say we didn't water or cut properly. We all know that is incorrect. NLT's customer service has been sub-par to non existent. That is the bottom line. Our yard went, in a matter of 2.5 weeks, from gorgeous and healthy to what the pictures below show. Suffice to say we are quite angry and displeased. Update: We filed a BBB report on 7/20/18. On Monday, 7/23/18 the business owner contacted us requesting to meet face to face and to see our lawn. We agreed to meet with the owner on 7/26/18. It took a BBB report to get a response in which the owner stated he could not control the weather and was short a tech. The owner said we should have contacted him first before writing a bad review. We reminded him we did...several times without receiving communication. Btw...we have all texts, emails, and phone calls to show we did on multiple occasions. When he arrived he talked over me, made excuses and insulted our very knowledgable sod company stating we had two different types of sod in the front which may have contributed to the problem. Not true. The front is ALL Floritam St. Augustine. The owner still cannot get the concept that we are not blaming his company for the fungus or the weather but for the lack of response and the amount of time to service the lawn and the continued lack of communication and customer service which allowed the damage to spread rapidly and the owner then stated the communication could have been better. He refused to do anything to address the sod "because you fired me." read more

I would not recommend this company they killed over 1/2 of my grass. When the guy showed up after the 3rd phone call, the comment he left on his form was that my yard "looks really bad". Someone above him showed up after 2 more phone calls ( when I told him my HOA is complaining about my yard) He did spend a couple of hours treating the dead areas, but they were already dead. I now have to pay to re sod over 1/2 my yard. read more

I looked for a lawn care company through the Home Advisor website. Next Level Turf Management called me and offered their services. We came to an understanding. They were to call me back to schedule our first service. Instead, I received a call from some woman in their office telling me we were "too far away." I called back and asked for an explanation. She said they "didn't realize the distance even though I specifically told them when we hired them exactly where we live. She promised to "talk to someone" and would get back to me. She never called back even after I called them twice. I finally (after two more calls) reached the rep I originally spoke to. He NOW also said they didn't realize what the distance was. He said they service our town but not where we live (and we are right in town). So don't waste your time with this company. They have no clue what they are doing. read more

Killed my lawn and threatened me with a Mechanics Lien if I don't pay $81. They sprayed way too much weed killer on my back yard and completely destroyed it so I fired them. They also charged me for services they never even did. They claimed I wasn't home but they never call before they come either. Someone was always home and nobody ever noticed them spraying my yard. My front looked like crap and the back was destroyed the last time they came out because they are horrible at lawn care. After I fired them, I would get calls from time to time demanding that I pay them for the next 2 months of service even though I fired them and hired True Green to take care of my lawn. I ignored them and now an entire year later they send me a court notice and mechanics lean for $81. When I called them, the lady said they were going to foreclose my home unless I paid them the $81. These people are bullies and they use intimidation to get money out of old people. Not only that but I also had a big dead spot appear in the middle of my yard shortly after we fired them and I suspect the owner though I have no proof. My neighbor said she saw one of his trucks pull up and spray it. She didn't know I fired them and had an argument with the owner at the time. Just go with someone else. This isn't just a bad company, they are an evil company and deserve to be out of business and the owner should be jailed for scamming and destroying peoples property. read more

Living in a development and having St. Augustine grass means I need lawn care. I called around over 7 companies and this one is the one we went with. They come to my home monthly, not every 4-6 weeks as most other companies do. Their rate was right in the middle of what I was quoted between all companies; $37, as my lawn is not crazy large. But since I paid for the entire year in full, I got a 15% discount which brought it down considerably. My service includes pest control, weed control, and they also handle the shrubs in my front and back yards. They also do service calls in case any area looks bad and they need to stop by again. They are very friendly and have always answered all my questions. After 2 treatments my lawn is looking so much better, can't wait to see what it'll look like in the next coming months. read more

We had this company for months thinking so far so good until...... Nobody showed up. Robbie Royal the Service Manager... Well he's suppose to be, he was doing our lawn and took it upon himself to do a no show very unprofessional. NEVER CALLED, never sent a letter just apparently dropped us. ABSOLUTELY NOT ANYONE FROM THIER COMPANY HAD THE DECENCY TO CALL US.... We finally found out why and it was supposedly Robbie felt he was feeding the weeds and not killing them?? SMH. well they're there to kill the weeds I don't know what kind of excuse that was, we were a paying customer maybe he just doesn't like his job or they don't have enough employees, laziness or already has enough money just not sure. I've just never in my life have heard of any type of any type of lawn company feeling like they have to drop someone because they feel like they are feeding the weeds in the yard and just leaving you in the dark. I hope the owner is proud of this guy.... Unbelievable. Also yes you heard correct he's the manager, good pick. Please don't waste your time with hiring them because they might just decide not to do thier job.. SMH read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! This company burned our grass, and when we complained they admitted to having a **trainee** spray the lawn with too harsh of chemicals. We cancelled the service, and they continued to spray our yard WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE for two extra months! Then charged us for two months PLUS $160 extra phony processing charges! This is what I call service and a standard that other businesses should follow. I wrote to cancel my service because of a few weed issues that are frankly making me pretty mad. Now my service tech is awesome and extremely busy. So what makes me say this business is worth five stars? Because the (actual) owner came to my home to see exactly why there are issues with my lawn/lawn service. I didn't get the usual platitudes like I have from other lawn services. We discussed my lawns problem areas and what we can do to fix them. He understood my concerns and didn't belittle my "anger" about the weeds just not disappearing. Ok, yes I know they just don't disappear, and some are dormant for up to four years. The fact this company cares enough to verify why their client is unhappy is exceptional service. For those that are too cowardly to just say I don't want or can't afford a lawn service - grow up and just say so. That way when things are back on track with you you are in good standing - jeeze (my own rant).
