The receptionist is rude. There is no such thing as a private conversation as she yells loudly in the lobby and provides patronizing explanations for their exorbitant fees. She tried to charge me $274 WITH INSURANCE to see a nurse practitioner (note - there is no actual doctor here). "You unfortunately haven't met your deductible" she yelled loudly. I know how deductibles work. What I'm not ok with is their predatory behavior for low income folks in this area. She claims they are in network and that these fees are reasonable. I disagree. No other urgent care in the area has a fee structure like this. Insurance determines what should be paid, after the claim is filed. It is unacceptable for this facility to demand hundreds of dollars up front with no documentation or paperwork or diagnosis. It's predatory. I took my business to Banner (Greenway and Tatum location) and I suggest you do too. Banner charges $75 and then bills or refunds as needed. The process is quick and easy. They even have a real doctor at Banner. The NextCare receptionist also told a caller that cash visits START at $334 and go up from there. For a visit with an NP. This is a predatory, boarder line scam practice. Avoid. read more

Got in within 2 hours as a walk-in, though they were booked all day for Covid-19 testing and had 8 walk-ins ahead of me. I find this understandable with the current situation. Walk-ins for anything but Covid-19 are treated on a fist come first serve basis. Covid testing are by scheduled appointments only and fill there appointment calendar. So I was fine with the long wait as it is understandabl. Many other urgent cares were booked full when I tried to get in. They are bombarded with testing and/or at limited capacity in order to socially distance. The Nextcare faculty was nice, efficient and took care of my needs. Overall, not a bad place for urgent care. I do have one complaint and have to share. There was a man workng in the front office that was behind the reception area and he was not wearing a mask. He came out of his office and interacted with others repeatedly, in close proximity, definitely no where near 6 feet apart, without a mask. Fifteen minutes into my wait and after watching him do this a few times, I pointed to his face and asked where's your mask? He said it's in his office and that he's usually in his office by himself so he's not wearing it. Hmmm... but you're repeatedly coming out of your office and talking and interacting with staff without wearing a mask. Everyone else at this medical facility is following the strict mask-wearing policy posted on the front door, staff and patients included... just not you. He didn't even put his mask on after I brought it to his attention! And... I was in that waiting room for almost 2 hours! Personal beliefs aside, you are in public interacting closely with others, working, no less, at a medical facility testing for Covid-19, AND the mask policy is posted on the front door saying STOP no one enters without wearing a mask. I'm hoping you are reprimanded for blowing off my reminder and blatantly not following policy, putting yourself and others in harms way. Nurse Laura Chiccarello shockingly rude and combative. Very immature behavior. BACKSTORY - I went in for a fever, mouth/gum/tongue sores, and swollen nodes. It was a speed run the first time through. Different nurse prescribed me only mouth wash and said wait it out. It got way worse, fever kept running for 6 days so I went back in 2 days later. Second time in I genuinely just wanted some guidance on what to do, but Laura was on the defensive the entire conversation. Breathing heavy while speaking, completely livid with me coming back in. Assuming I was in the mindset that they didn't do their job correctly the first time around. Keep in mind I paid a $50 co pay twice for this treatment. I literally just needed help. She walked in the room (first time meeting her) death staring me like "what do you need" (not exaggerating at all) and I stayed personable, tried to ignore it. Introduced myself and told her my situation. It was like she was in competition with me the whole time from there, trying to prove herself and was not once professional at all. Very selfish. This situation isn't about you, I'm sick and need professional guidance - should be focusing on the helping the patient. Told me I should go see a dentist, and I was seriously trying to be polite saying "I think the fact the sores popped up right when the sickness came probably means it came from the sickness no? So maybe antibiotics would be needed? I don't think it came from bad dental care" and she's like "I didn't say that did i? Im not just throwing you away to a dentist." That's when I addressed the elephant in the room and said I'm not accusing you of not treating me correctly the first time, I just got worse and need help. Rolled her eyes, was barely holding it together. I told her I'd had mono before, this fever isn't going away. She said we can test for mono if you want, I said yes how much would that cost? she Said, "I don't specialize in money I specialize in medicine. I can't just look at you and know what your insurance covers..." long pause and stared at me as if I was stupid, then said "I would need to talk to the front and they could tell me that information" I paused..and I said okay, that would be nice thanks. Leaves the room abruptly, so mad still. Ends up testing me, it came back negative, she said "negative just as I said" (still being competitive) I gave her a thumbs up and said thats good news! If you're reading this Laura - just please help people and stop being so offended. You need to control your emotions and be professional. I'm still sick with a raw mouth and fever and went in to get help and got treated like I was subhuman. Laura tried to play tough girl the whole conversation, and if any higher ups read this, that person is genuinely a liability to your company. Bad for business. You should look into that. Never going back. I've never written a bad review before, but when you treat a patient that terribly, it should be expected. Some people really do just deserve it. read more

Literally the fastest urgent care I've ever been to. I was in and out in 30min. I went around 7:30pm and was seen by Danielle Mekahel. They were all friendly as well! Especially with it being the end of the night. They did a quick strep test on me and sent me on my way to pick up my prescription. Thank you to all the staff that worked this night! (Seen on 4/11) I also forgot to add that check in was extremely easy online. I didn't have to fill in any paperwork when I got there. read more

FAR superior to the Shea location. After going to Shea, I was not getting better. I went here because I wanted a chest x-ray. Shea location tested me for Covid (negative), but cough was not getting better. Even so, these folks weren't going to do a chest x-ray because, like Shea, they couldn't hear anything in my lungs. I insisted. They relented. Guess what? Pneumonia in lower left lobe. Got an antibiotic shot, antibiotic prescription, steroid for inflammation and stronger cough pills. Three days later- MUCH better. Just to be clear, like most people I am sure, I don't go to urgent care if I need to treat stage 4 cancer. I go for everyday minor issues that nevertheless can't wait. I had a minor toe infection and arrived at the facility Sunday at at about 10:00 A.M. Only one person ahead of me. Check in was very efficient, wait time was on the order of 15 minutes. I was treated by a nurse practitioner. She seemed quite capable and was very pleasant. She prescribed the right antibiotic for me and I was off to the pharmacy. For my needs, this was just what I needed. I would come here again for my minor ills. read more

Just skip going. They got my date of birth wrong. Went in for a UTI. I already had an account there. They messed it all up. I was in such pain and fatigue and the front office receptionist did not hear me with the germ plastic window or had a typo but I did provide my identification card! with my date of birth! and they made me set a whole new account. Which I thought was weird. Which is stressful when you have other people in the lobby who are sick and loud and you are not well yourself. They now make you do an app to log in on your smart phone so you better bring your smart phone and it is even better to make an appointment a head of time so they don't screw it up. Then the medical assistant had to log in my long allergy list and she was stressed out and also did not catch the date of birth wrong, even though I repeatedly said this should all be in your system. She did not question it, I felt rushed and like the MA was stressed. Finally saw the doctor and I was so fatigued by all that I was stressed as I have to use a cane and take oxygen when at home. You also have to check out at the end. Thankfully there was a different receptionist checking me out who caught the date of birth difference and I showed my ID again. He said he would have the files merged. Clearly this did not happen as my pharmacy had a hard time filling the Rx and took at least 6 hours instead of a few minutes at at very inopportune time when I had a special day to see a family member I had to leave and go back to the pharmacy again. Next they sent the wrong date of birth to the lab and it is past the cut off for my insurance. The lab is on east coast hours and it is difficult to contact them. This is a nightmare. read more

I showed up 30 minutes before said appointment, only to be told that I made a reservation for a time to put my name on the waiting list, that they are running behind and I would have to wait at least two hours. There were only two people in the waiting room at this time, and was told to try another location. I'm not normally one to show frustration for customer service/having to wait, but the lack of empathy and understanding I was met with by their front desk worker made it necessary. So, I went to the Desert Ridge location where the staff was very friendly and understanding of my frustration, as well as confused by what happened at the Greenway location. read more

I arrived this morning and was handed a clipboard and told I had to fill out 5 pages of paperwork because they have a new physician. What the heck does that have to do with me? Doctor's discretion to use COVID rapid test. He chose the 3-5 dat test fir me even though I requested a rapid test. Tow of my family members, both are doctors, are unable to return to work until I am cleared because one of them works with post-surgery patients. While waiting the front desk receptionist was talking LOUDLY about how she has a sore throat and chest pain WHILE WORKING AT AN URGENT CARE. She said "don't worry I'm wearing gloves" when asked about it. This is absolutely unacceptable. When I confronted her and asked for her name she said she wasn't able to give me that information. She proceeded to put me on speaker phone with some male who told me if I keep asking for her name they'd ask me to leave. Completely unprofessional and awful behavior from this urgent care. Disgusting that this place is "providing health care" while having a receptionist exposing everyone around her. This place is absolutely awful. I was referred to NextCare by a tele health doctor because according to that MD, they can diagnose the problem. I went to urgent care with Covid like symptoms. There wasn't clear instructions of the process of checking in and going into the facility. I received a flu and Covid swab. I waiting 24 hours for the Covid results and didn't hear anything. I tried calling and the hold is a long time so I called the lab for results. The lab couldn't run the test because it needed more information from nextcare. The made multiple attempts to contact nextcare without a response. I finally got ahold of them and now I have to wait another 24 hours for results. Poor service! read more

I would not return here or recommend this place. The staff is extremely unfriendly -- very short and lacking in basic customer service skills. Which I feel are important when you are dealing with people who are sick and in pain. The "doctor" was literally in the room for 30 seconds, didn't ask me what I was in for, listened to my breathing and said "you have a cold." Then asked me what my doctor said about taking meds while nursing (which I am). Umm, if I could get in touch with my doctor I wouldn't be at your terrible urgent care at 8 am on a Sunday!! The check in process was easy and up to date (you type your info into a computer and click submit) Wait time isn't so bad. The staff... somewhat unprofessional... they talk about their patients in a demeaning way to each other and you can hear it. I got a good referral to other specialty doctors so that I liked. It was relatively easy to go in and out, swipe my card 51 bucks to pee in a cup and get some pill prescriptions. However, later on I got billed 167 dollars. I went into urgent care today as I woke up with a minor fever (100.4), had soreness in my throat and pain in my ears. It started with the pain in my ears. I don't have symptoms that even qualify for a COVID-19 test. I arrive they tell me I need to go around back instead. I arrive in the waiting room and a nurse comes in. She asks me a few questions and without even LOOKING at my throat she goes, "We are going to test you for strep." I am suddenly confused cause I have no symptoms of strep and I always get white spots, in addition she hadn't even looked at my throat. I said no and she said I can talk to the doctor. The doctor comes in and asks me what is going on and looks at my ears. She states there is fluid in my ears but they are going to test me for strep. Once again I say no, and she goes "well we have to test you. Because it is either strep or COVID and if you come up negative for strep then you have COVID." At this point I am confused, my strep test comes back negative and she goes okay well you have COVID so we will test you and now you must isolate. They obviously were only interested in diagnosing me with COVID as they make more money this way. I knew it made no sense so I went to Banner Health Urgent care instead. She didn't even mention COVID, only that I had bad allergies or a viral upper respiratory infection. I asked if she thinks I have COVID or should get tested and she looked at me confused but offered to give me a test if I wanted one. DO NOT GO NEXTCARE. I used to come here always and now after this experience I will never go to another NextCare again. How dare they jump to conclusions and not actually look and find out what is wrong with me. I visited this location bringing my injured son for an injury. Upon entry the receptionist was rude and unprofessional. Not answering our questions nor letti g us register to be seen by the doctor. I offered to pay if insurance didn't cover the expenses. She was unresponsive and when I asked for her name she took her identification badge off and told me I don't need to know her name. Upon questioning she responded do not take my picture otherwise she will call the police. She then dial 911 to have us removed.
