Took my mom here because she had a bad cough. They tested her for Covid and the flu, which she was negative for both and they took a chest x-ray. I came here for my occupational health screening. The employees don't give much direction during this appointment. I had no idea how long this appointment would take. I waited almost an hour in a room till it was my turn. Once it was my turn, it seemed to go fairly fast. I got a flu shot, they took 2 vials of blood, took a saliva drug test, performed a color test and had a mask fitting. The girl helping me was efficient and was great at taking my blood. It's always nerve wrecking not knowing if the person will do a good job at drawing your blood. I don't know what her name or credentials were because her badge was not visible. I was at this appointment for about 2 hours. Im assuming that they must be understaffed. This location is an urgent care but during my appointment the urgent care was not open. read more

The front desk a guy person was very rude. I was very sick showed up and wanted to check in and he wanted to keep my ID to update the records. I was previously there before and all my records were up to date. I have asked for my id back as I always forget it and he was short worded with me asking me to leave our clinic. We wont help you! How rude is that? I apologize to him sincerely yet he threatened to call security. This guy is definitely psycho path and needs help. Definitely should not be working with people especially sick people that are more vulnerable. read more

25 minutes after opening they finally sent the first patient back. Next time I will go to Honor Health. Nurse was wearing perfume as well which aggravated my symptoms. So far not impressed that they are prepared for the day. And the doctor was nice, but then they sent a different nurse who had perfume on. Who lets people wear perfume at doctors offices with people who have allergies and are sick? That's insane. read more

I had a backpacking trip to Havasupai and after suffering a mild scrape on my leg...it turned into a nasty little case of cellulitis. I went to this location and I couldn't have been happier with my short time there. The front desk girl was kind, prompt, and thorough. When I was brought back to my exam room Sara and her medical assistant were fantastic. Left with a bunch of dressings for home use, along with 2 prescriptions that were called into my pharmacy and ready for pickup by the time I got to my car. I would recommend this location to anyone! As someone who works in the medical industry...this place is top notch and will recommend them for any of my friends or family with urgent medical needs. read more

This place is worthless and never take your children here. Booked an appointment at 11:15 and didn't get called back until 11:50pm for my 19 month old son. After waiting another 25 minutes in the waiting room the nurse practitioner rushed in and checked my sons ears and said they were find and also said it was just a cold and nothing to worry about. 2 days later we take my son to Phoenix Children's and he has an ear infection so bad it perforated his ear drum, a 102 degree fever and a staph infection on his face and nose. Pretty plain and simple this place was understaffed and simply wanted to rush us in and out. The icing on the cake was leaving after all of that and a couple that got there shortly after me that also booked an appointment we're still waiting to be seen. Stay far away from this place, it should go back to being Fascinations like it was before! read more

Would not recommend this location. Go somewhere else. The front desk gal was nice but everyone else was not. They started taking my vitals (weight, blood pressure, temp, etc) but weren't sharing them with me. When I asked what they were, the nurse seemed annoyed that I was asking. For example they took my weight in kilograms. I asked what it was and she said "it's in kilograms. It was around 57 kilograms. I'll tell you in a second or you can do that times 2.2 to convert it." And she never told me the actual number in pounds. She never told me my temperature, either, and I was literally there because I had spiked a 104.5° fever overnight, so that was a metric I was curious about. This location is not timely, either. I made my appointment online which was fast and easy to do, but I had to fill out the same form in the office by hand that I did online, and despite being early for my appointment, I still sat back in the room for 30+ minutes after the initial checkup, waiting for the doctor, even though their board in the waiting room said I was next on the list to be seen. The doctor Patricia diagnosed me with the flu without testing for it and didn't want to test for it. Sassily questioned me about getting my flu shot or not, and proceeded to tell me there was nothing they could do for me, but also that if anything got worse, that I should go to the ER because they weren't "equipped" to handle those types of issues there. What? I told them I came in to be seen because I spiked a 104.5° fever overnight and was concerned as I was on day 3-4 of symptoms, which included coughing up mucous, dizziness, and tightness in the chest / difficulty breathing in addition to the fever. All of those symptoms were listed on the printout they gave me under "when to seek emergency care." I asked about this discrepancy, stating that I did, in fact, have multiple symptoms on that list, and the nurse proceeded to demeaningly "explain" to me that shortness of breath is when you're bent over and struggling for breath (yes, she even put her hands on the table / bench I was sitting on and bent over to demonstrate) and said "THAT" would be a problem, not whatever I was experiencing. And that I was probably fine, though it was "totally up to me" if I wanted to seek emergency care for assessment. I literally went to urgent care TO BE assessed. They pretty much just took my money, told me they "weren't equipped" to deal with me, there was nothing they could do, and to go to the ER if I needed anything else. They did call me in a couple cough prescriptions after I asked if there was anything they could give me to help my symptoms, but were completely unhelpful otherwise. I called back less than 2 days after my appointment since some of my symptoms had worsened and they informed me they would charge me again for a followup appointment, even though it was for the same reason. I have gone to urgent cares in the past and my experience has always been that a followup for the same issue has no charge within 48 hours of the appointment. Insane. read more

I made a appt online to come in and I got there a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. Everyone was super nice and the office was very clean. I was seen right on time at my 9am appt. There was only one person in the office ahead of me. I didn't wait more than 2 minutes for the doctor to come in. They did a quick strep test which results came back right away. I haven't been to this location before today but I know this will be my "home" urgent care from now on. I am super grateful for how nice and genuine everyone seemed. This review is for the Thunderbird/Tatum location. Was seen today for a cough that is lingering from bronchitis. This was the best experience I have ever had at an urgent care and I've been to some good ones when I lived in S. Calif. Got there right as they opened and no other patients were there. I was greeted promptly and politely and the paperwork was very minimal. I was taken back right away and seen immediately by the nurse and NP (PA?) Mike. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and informative. He got the appropriate meds prescribed and I was out in a total of 15-20 min. I realize on a busy day there would be a wait of course, but more than anything I want to give credit to the excellent staff for their efficiency and kindness. I was in healthcare for 43 years and I recognize quality care and a well run facility. read more

beware of banner urgent care, i was just negligently misdiagnosed at two locations in phoenix resulting in two out of town emergency room visits, pain and suffering, and they put my health, and possibly my life, in danger. their "risk management department" is now handling things in regards to this matter, at a snail's pace unfortunately for me, as i am now in a horrible financial situation in regards to all of the medical emergencies i went through due to misdiagnosis and mistreatment at two banner urgent care facilities in phoenix, this one at tatum/thunderbird, and another location at bell/32nd st. i completely understand all of the delays in regards to the medical billing records and insurance end of this matter, but i was asked up front by banner risk management about time lost from work, other added expenses due to the emergency situations banner urgent care has caused for me, etc...and that was at the 7 days total mark on my work days lost, added now another 7-10 days work lost on recovery from surgery, and now my pain and suffering has huge monetary loss attached to it, hundreds of dollars in late rent fees, money now owed to friends and relatives i was forced to take personal loans from, etc... i guess i just want to wish a happy thanksgiving to everyone at banner, and happy and joyous upcoming holidays and seasons greetings, god bless you all and thanks so much for ruining mine. read more

Yesterday I took my son to the urgent care on Thunderbird and Tatum. The supervisor was rude, confrontational and inappropriate. I went into the room with my 18 year old son because I wanted to make sure all his injured body parts from wrestling season were x-rayed. Sure enough, when she asked why he was there, he only said the pinky finger he had just dislocated. I jumped in and said he also needed his index finger examined as well. She immediately threatened to kick me out of the room if I spoke again. She said he was 18 and only he was allowed to speak - not me. I replied, I was his mother making sure he didn't forget the things I wanted checked and she said again he was 18, I had no say and if I spoke again, she would force me to leave. NOTE: I was being kind and literally all I did is say, "Don't forget your index finger needs to be checked." To my son's credit, he spoke up and said, "my mom is right, I need my two fingers and my toe checked out." This woman has no place in being a supervisor. She had a choice in her communication. Escalate something simple to a confrontational conflict or simply ask my son "Is your mom accurate?" Had she said that, he would have said, "yes, sorry I was only thinking about what is hurting the most right now." But she didn't. She chose to be disrespectful and confrontational. When the doctor came in, he must have heard her from the hall, he was wonderful and directed his questions to me (and my son), approached our being there as a partnership in my son's care. But this woman's behavior is unacceptable. I have sent an email to Banner and I would hope they respond. read more

Absolute joke of a facility and the medical field is quite concerning these days if you ask me as no one seems to know what is actually going on. I don't know how this place is still running to be honest. I went in because I was feeling sick and had no other option unfortunately. The man who took me back Lee which I assume was a medical assistant was more concerned about eating the dominos that awaited him in the other room than caring for me. He had zero bedside manner and seemed uninterested. He did not write down any of my symptoms and laughed at my temperature when it came in at 98.1. I had just taken it prior to coming and it was 100.5 but he refused to take it again. (Bought a new thermometer after I left and was still over 100). Lee automatically assumed I had Covid which everyone does these days. I had to ask to be tested for other things then he left. I waited 15-20 minutes for someone who I assume and hope was an actual doctor Cathy/Catherine to tell me there is nothing that can be done for my symptoms until my test comes back in 24-48 hours. I had to ask this woman to examine my ears, nose, and throat. Basically asking her to do her job otherwise she was just going to let me go. Fast forward to 4 days later and 3 phone calls to obtain my test results to be told they had no idea where they were and must have been lost in transit. I was then asked to come in the next day to test which I responded, at this point would be useless right. I am beginning to feel better and a test would do nothing for me. All in all this place is an incompetent waste of time and I could have done the job myself as far as I am concerned. What are we paying these people to actually do??I would never recommend anyone to go here and I will never go here again as they can not be trusted. Medical professionals are supposed to be someone you can rely on and hold in highest regard in this day and age. read more
