Instead, he simply pulled my hand forward and continued as if nothing happened, which was uncomfortable and unacceptable. To make matters worse, the front desk experience was shockingly unprofessional. The person working the desk was more focused on discussing her SATs and not getting into FGCU than on the customers in front of her- customers who were paying and clearly having a poor experience. Overall, this was careless, unprofessional, and honestly awful. New management or not, basic customer service and safety were clearly lacking. A few days before my appointment, I contacted the owner directly to make sure they could do the **specific nail design and colors I wanted**. I sent him pictures of the design, and he confirmed that they could do it. I specifically asked again if they had the **dark navy blue cat-eye color with gold**, as well as the **chrome/cat-eye gold color for my pedicure**, because I did not want to arrive and be told they didn't have the colors or design--as unfortunately happened to my daughter at another appointment. The owner assured me everything was available and told me the service would take approximately **2 1/2 hours** for the manicure and pedicure. Based on that confirmation, I made the appointment and came prepared for the exact service we discussed. Unfortunately, when I arrived, **the owner was not there and apparently had not properly communicated my appointment, design, or requested colors to the staff**. There was also a significant language barrier, and no one initially understood exactly what I had discussed with him. I spent approximately **15 minutes with Celine trying to figure out together what I had requested**. I want to be very clear that **Celine was patient, kind, and did her best to help me**, and I appreciate her effort. My concern is not with her. I was relieved to find the booking platform was user-friendly, which allowed me to quickly book the first available appointment (Regular pedicure with French) they had for the afternoon (12:45 PM). Shortly after booking, I did receive a text message confirmation of my appointment. I decided to find somewhere to grab a bite to eat before returning for my appointment time. When I returned I was quickly checked in by their receptionist and brought back to the pedicure chairs. I was greeted nicely but the pedicurist didn't introduce herself so I can't confirm her name, but online it said my appointment was with Lissa. There was one client leaving when I arrived and another getting a manicure. The salon is very spacious and clean. A very strong citrus scent fills the building. Very light spa music played in the background throughout my visit. The TV plays videos of various island resort beaches. The gel polish removal process was very natural. No drill was used. From there she proceeded with my pedicure which was ok. She was very gentle in handling my feet and legs. I was a bit disappointed at the cold pedicure water and there were no jets or bubbles but maybe that's included with the higher priced pedicure options. This salon is DEAD SILENT lol like you can hear a pin drop in here. Very different than what I am use to. Lissa did a good job of cleaning the nail beds and achieving my desired length and shape. The outcome of the French was also just ok. I personally didn't really care for how thin the French on my big toes were but all other nails came out flawless. Their pedicure chairs are some of the most comfortable I've experienced. The massage is gentle and doesn't violently knead your back while the chairs themselves hug you like a glove. I don't know if I would return but I would definitely recommend to anyone who lives close by. Especially anyone very big on natural nail restoration. My total was $56.65 not including tip. My itemized bill was conveniently emailed to me within minutes of checking out.
