This was one of the most stressful and unprofessional experiences I've ever had. I booked my car shipment through Nexus Auto Transport, and they paired me with Marcianos Trucking LLC--a complete nightmare from start to finish. I placed an AirTag in my car, which showed it sat in Miami for an entire week, unmoved. Meanwhile, I was being given false updates about my vehicle supposedly being in Texas, Louisiana and even LA. They were tracking and reporting the wrong car. I was so alarmed by the lack of transparency and conflicting information that I had to get the police involved, fearing my car had been stolen. Despite claiming they're experts who ship "hundreds of cars," they didn't know where mine was and failed to verify basic details. When I confronted them with AirTag proof, there was no accountability--just generic responses and more lies. Save yourself the anxiety. This company is disorganized, misleading, and careless. I contracted with Nexus in August for auto transport from Ohio to Florida and was told "yes we guarantee pick up in the date window you provide" And the website states that once they assigned a driver they would call 24hrs ahead of pick up. Well, the date window passed and I had to leave my car behind because of my flight south. Then a day later they called and said they had a driver who could pick it up on two days!! This company does not provide the service they promise and I will never use them or recommend them to anyone. If you're smart you will heed this review and seek another company. We contacted Nexus Auto Transport to ship one of our vehicles from NJ to FL. We placed an air tag in the vehicle and on the key ring. Mick responded with the details and a price. We booked the pickup of the vehicle on Monday, March 24, with expected delivery on Friday, March 28. Car was picked up as promised. Driver took multiple pictures and loaded car onto a 2-car trailer. Vehicle was on the move south on March 27, about 3pm, stopping in VA for the night. It appeared as though the driver drove through the night and the car was in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Friday morning - 12 miles from the delivery point. We expected delivery sometime Friday but did not hear from Nexus or the driver 24 hours before. We had to call Nexus multiple times. We were told on Thursday that delivery was expected on Friday. By Friday afternoon, we still hadn't heard from the driver. We called again and were told the driver would contact us and delivery would be Saturday. No delivery. The driver was then unreachable. We called Nexus Saturday. We called Nexus Sunday. Each time we were told we would get a call with an update. No return call. Called Nexus Monday morning and was given a window when vehicle would be delivered. Vehicle was finally delivered in March 31, about noon. Driver took 4 photos. Was paid $500 in cash. The entire experience was extremely nerve wracking. We entrusted our vehicle to a company to ship it in a timely matter. Their website touts their constant communication but there was none. Website says delays can happen due to traffic and weather but the vehicle sat in a lot for 3 days before leaving NJ. And then sat 3 days in a lot in Ft. Lauderdale. read more

I was recommended nexus auto transport by a family member. It was the worst and most unprofessional company to deal with. I knew that shipping my vehicle and boat with trailer was not going to be an easy task so I went on with much grace. Gave Nexus the exact dimensions of both vehicles (LxWxH). Sent photos of both vehicles. I was assured that it would not be any problem. Original transport day was a 3 day window Aug. 13-16. They were not very communicative during that period. They found me a transport company by the name of Teran Logistics LLC. Horrible situation. Nexus Auto transport charged me an extra $500 for a "Specialized Trailer capable of handling my transport." I agreed and felt assured because they had the right equipment for the job. NOPE! The driver barely spoke English, texted me to drive my boat and vehicle to Walmart, LEAVE THE KEYS IN IT and he said I promise I will pick it up.... I said no way!!! 2 days later the driver came to load my vehicle and boat onto his "special trailer". Only to find out that my outside width of my vehicle tires are 96 inches and his trailer ramp was 90 inches! A deficiency of 6 inches!!!! He continued to attempt to load it and dang near demolished my boat and trailer. He had the nerve to ask my neighbor to use his backhoe to lift the tire onto his trailer!!! During the ordeal my neighbor insisted that the driver stop. And was sent away. I'm left with a broken marine boat jack and neither Nexus auto transport or Teran logistics llc is doing anything by the way of compensation or replacement. I've sent both pictures of damaged marine jack, pictures of replacement part and cost as well as where it can be sourced. In the beginning of what has a become a genuine nightmare, working with Melissa was great. She was nice, and attentive. I began the process of finding a reliable, and safe transport company (2) weeks ago. I provided them with my preferred pick up timeframe and was advised that I would be contacted 2-3 days before the pickup date to confirm the scheduled truck driver and time. Today is Tuesday and the latest pick up time I mentioned was Friday and yet I haven't received a call, not a even a follow up simply advising that they haven't been able to officially coordinate something as of yet...common courtesy some would say. My overthinking self decides to call to follow up on the matter because time is literally running short and I had to secure a pick up time. A customer service representative by the supposed name of "Patrick" answers the phone and I explain the situation. He proceeds to tell me in a dry manner that it is an industry standard that pick ups are not scheduled until the day before or even until the day of the supposed pick up date. That is baffling to me how they decide these time sensitive matters on such short notice; it's a complete failure on their part because I found out no driver would have wanted to pick up my vehicle because Nexus profits a larger percentage of the total cost and pays the driver less than they deserve to compete the job but nooooooo, "Patrick" decides to read a script saying typical so called "industry standard" jargon. I immediately called BS and asked him to cancel multiple times because he kept rebutting every single request to cancel. When he finally realized I was not going to back down my request for a cancellation, he then proceeded to tell me Nexus was going to charge me a $75 cancellation fee as per their terms and policies. I never signed a contract, these supposed terms/policies were never mentioned or relayed to me in any way amongst the multiple recorded conversations I had with this company within (2) weeks. "Patrick" was insistent on charging me this cancellation fee and continued to interrupt and speak over me time and time again. I decided to cancel a verbal agreement (4) days before the supposed pick up date and Nexus decided to use predatory and aggressive tactics to charge my credit without me having signed a contract of any sort. I know Nexus doesn't care about this but I will never recommend this company to anyone and "Patrick" is unprofessional, unpolished, disrespectful, rude, and aggressive. DO NOT USE this company!! Would have given it a ZERO if I could. They don't deserve even 1 star!! My family booked a car transport with Nexus Auto Transport, about 3 months before the scheduled pickup. We went with them because we heard good reviews and their price was fair. 1 week prior to pickup, we called them and to confirm we were on track, and they said yes. One day before pickup, we confirmed again because no one contacted us. They confirmed again, and they said they would contact us the day of with the scheduled pickup. The day of pickup came around and no call, so we called them again. They said they "guaranteed" us our car would be picked up. Several hours later, still no calls, not once. At 10pm that night it was clear our car was not being picked up as scheduled. We called them and they assured us it would be the next day, mind you that we are now one day behind our scheduled pickup. In the meantime, my husband contacted the owner and he responded regarding helping to fix the mishap and look into it. The next day came around, no calls, no transport - from anyone! Zero contact. It's over a week now and no one has bothered to contact us. Just left us high and dry. We've never experienced this level of unprofessionalism from a company, ever. Luckily, SGT Auto Transport responded that they could pick up the car three days later, and followed through. The reason SGT was so effective is because they are a larger company and have a robust network of contacts, and thus, are reliable. We would not recommend Nexus to anyone if you're looking for reliability - far from it. Our advice to consumers is to go through one of the three largest companies in the space, even if it costs a few hundred dollars more. We learned a valuable lesson. I entrusted this company to ship my vehicle from Colorado to Florida. They told me it would arrive in approximately 3 days... we're on 10 right now and we still have not received the vehicle. We went days with zero communication from Nexus and they could NOT make contact with the carrier they subcontracted to (Nexus is just a broker) - eventually they located the carrier and and we were told it would be there 'tomorrow' and of course 'tomorrow' came and went with no communications for delivery. They then offered us a $50 discount for the 7 day delay!! Which was insulting to say the least! Eventually the carrier reached out to us at 9pm on Halloween night saying they would arrive at 11pm for delivery! When the text was received it was nearly 10:30pm and when we replied asking them to drop it off no one responded to us again. We called in the morning and they said they'd arrive in the morning. It's now the afternoon and no one has arrived with the vehicle. Communication and simple customer service has been horrific to say the least. Professionalism has been absolutely non-existent. And at this point we have reported the vehicle as stolen with the police department and contacted an attorney. Save yourself the trouble and hire anyone else to do the job! When you sign a contract with Nexus, it means that this broker will attempt to locate a carrier willing to ship your vehicle for a price that enables Nexus to lock in a good margin. Nothing wrong with this -- it's a brokerage business model. What they do not offer is any guarantee that they will find the carrier. If Nexus fails to do so at a price that provides a good margin for them, they simply leave the order unfilled and leave the customer high and dry. As the pickup window drifts by, they swear to move heaven and earth to locate a driver -- but they are careful not to say that they are willing to lose money to make it happen. Bottom line, no matter how slick the website or polite the Customer Service rep, this is a broker that does not feel compelled to honor its contracts. My advice: find an Honest Broker! read more

Placed quoted order week in advance. Come a day before the pick-up date, Nexus rep said they had trouble contacting a driver. Rep told me the next day (day before requested pick up) that if I paid an extra $100, they would get carrier that GUARANTEED pick up the next day. All calls with Nexus are recorded. That day came and went and no carrier contacted me. I requested Nexus refund my extra $100 since my vehicle was NOT picked up when THEIR REP GUARANTEED ON A RECORDED LINE it would be picked up the next day. A supervisor said they needed to check with the carrier the day after the guaranteed pick-up day passed!! My deal was with Nexus, not a carrier who I do not even know. I placed about 7 calls on the pick-up day and Nexus said they did not hear from the carrier....who's fault is that? Not mine!! Maybe they should have more reliable carriers. I contracted for a date to have my car picked up and the representative guaranteed it would be picked up on those dates.. the dates came and went with absolutely no help from anyone in the company. I was told every time I called for status that they were looking for a driver. I told them I would cancel my flight if necessary but they guaranteed me, again, that if I left the car with a neighbor it would definitely be picked up that date. this never transpired. the car was to be picked up on the 6 or 7 of May. Finally on May 12 after being told again for the 100 time that they are still trying to get a driver. I stated if you could not have been able to fulfill the contract they should have told me immediately and I could have possibly made other arrangements. so, on the 12 of May after my car has been sitting in the sun with items and a inconvenience for my neighbors I cancelled the contract and signed with another company. The positive reviews here are likely bots.. All of the bad reviews are so consistent including mine. They give a quote and then first told me I had to pay 5% extra if I didn't use paypal... they likely don't want people using credit cards that have fraud protection. Then 36 hours later after they finally got a driver, they told me it would be 150 dollars more so any reviews mentioning upfront pricing is a flat out lie. It only gets worse. They have no contact with the driver. You can't actually track your shipment as the website would lead you to believe it can. When you hit that, Nexus contacts the carrier business, not the driver. If the business is closed, you don't get an update. All of my updates were wrong. Theyve told me to expect my car that day 3 days in a row. I have no idea where it is right now or when I will get it. I am on the verge of reporting it as stolen. Absolutely do not use them. They are a broker, not a transport company. Use a company that is actually using its own drivers. I ordered a transport of my Vnose 7x14 Trailer on Sunday 6/16/24. It was picked up in Long Island, NY heading to Tampa, Fl. I was told they should be down by Tuesday. Tuesday came and I inquired where they were. I was told they had been delayed in traffic and were near South Carolina and expected to be in Jacksonville by 8pm. I had a tracker on the trailer and around 6 it said Lynchburg, Va. I called the dispatch and he would not answer. I called Nexus and they said the vehicle towing the trailer had a mechanical issue they were getting someone to bring it down the rest of the way. I discovered through the tracker, the trailer was left in a Quick stop Rest Area. That certainly wasn't secure and I had nearly $10k worth of tools and $10k worth of personal items in it. I kept calling and they said they were working on it. Thursday morning I took my son and we went to Enterprise and rented a Ford F-250 to bring it myself. After 7 hrs driving, we get to the trailer only to discover one of the four wheels broken off. and the back damaged from moving it to abandon it there as seen in picture. I called them and asked why I was not told that the trailer was damaged. They acted like they didnt know and had me send a picture. I would find out later that they had the pics already as the driver that was going to transport it saw them before he agreed. We would up sleeping in the pick up overnight to make sure the trailer was secured. The next day the new driver came. he spent time trying to get the trailer into a more movable condition. After 4 hrs , with our help we managed to get the trailer onto the transport trailer. The driver got the trailer to my house the next day at 10am, and we went to get additional parts in order to get the trailer off easier than on. By 5pm the trailer was off and we inloaded it. I took it to a trailer repair and had to pay another $1500 for repairs as the axle was damaged as well as 2 more tires bearings, etc which I am sure I will have to fight them for. I was told to give a full report which I did and included the bills for the pickup and fuel and Nexus said they would give me $50. I lost 3 days paid over $500 for rental and fuel. Not too mention how stressed I was. I would give them a zero star if I could. They are so unprofessional and not disclosing the vehicle was damaged is criminal. I am continuing my fight but don't know if I will get what I deserve. Do not use this company, if there is a problem you're screwed. read more

I had to move my work and travel schedule accordingly. Then they called with an option to get the vehicle sooner for more money. I let them know this was not acceptable as I had moved my schedule to accommodate them. Then their truck supposedly broke down. Not my fault. I then can not get ahold of anyone for days. My car arrived four days late with transmission and other fluids stained on the paint. The front of the car had clear coat peeling. They put miles on the car for some reason and there was dirt and grease all over the leather interior. They also wanted more money when they arrived with the dirty damaged car. Nexus was easy to get a quote. The vehicle was picked up on time. however they partnered with a dishonest, no communication and incompaentent shipper. the car was not delivered on time, we were told the truck broke down the day after pickup no communication until i called the day of delivery to find out the truck was no where near destination it was actually closer to pick up location. After reading reviews this is the shippers story most of the time therefor i do not believe the truck broke down but that they picked up multiple cars on the way and therefore thats why they were late. On delivery once it arrived, the drivr was unabe to get the truck off the trailer for he put a full truck on the top instead of the bottom again the fault of the shipping company for they knew the truck was full of personal items and they placed the truck on the top of the trailer. Cops were called to assist with retrieving the vehicle but the owner and the driver were very hard to deal with and UNWILLING to come up with a solution. The cops have offered several solutions and all were turned down. they even tried to provde a false address for the yard and the cops had to intervene to get the correct address for us to retrieve the vehicle from the yard. The owner is rude and will tell you to F*** yourself and blame the customer instead of his incompentent employee. the only solution was to drive 45 minutes in the opposite direction to retrieve the vehicle and drive two hours to the destination with no compensation for the time and inconvienance lost.
