My tires had been giving me problems for a while now. Most of the time I'd just replace the "trouble-maker" and keep it moving. Recently I have been needing to put air in my tires once every two weeks. You can only imagine how inconvenient it was to have an appointment or meeting to go to and having to fill your tire prior to making the trip. I'm sure the gas station knows me by now if not me, most definitely my car. I looked at several businesses that supplies tires, warranties and other needs you may have involving your car. NFS Tires & Wheels offered the best prices and warranty in the area. I reached out via phone that was answered immediately. I found the front desk person to be friendly and informative. When visiting the tire shop, I found it was clean, spacious and kid friendly. I was most impressed with the restroom as it was clean, smelled nice and well kept. I imagine mostly men frequent the shop and the restroom is gender neutral so I wasn't sure what to expect, I was pleased with its presentation. Upon my arrival I was greeted and service was begun promptly even though I was a "walk-in." Having no wait time I had all four tires replaced and aligned. My tires are good for 60,000 miles, with free tire rotation every oil change and free flat tire repairs. My car obviously rides better but most importantly I feel so much safer driving. I will be a returning customer.

My experience at NSF was amazing. I went in knowing I wanted new wheels and tires, but had no idea where to start. I gave Sam my budget and he helped me narrow down my options to a few brands. Once I selected the style of wheels I liked, he made all the recommendations on sizing to get the look I wanted. Once the product came in, there was an issue due to the key missing for the wheel lock. NFS went above and beyond and ordered a special tool to take the locks off so we could get the installation done. I will definitely be going to this shop for any future needs!

The guys at NFS Tires are sincere and legit. I took my Subaru Crosstrek to get some new tires and they got me what I was looking for by next day, actually same day but I couldn't get to them. But next day installed in 1 hour. They also were truthful about the alignment and what was worth fixing and what wasn't. I wanted to give them a great review but also wanted to make sure every worked well, and a week later I can say it has. Thank you guys.

Always take care of me whether it's tires or something more specific like a broken window regulator.

I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Brought it in and they took care of the issue quickly and cleanly and at an appropriate price.

Frank Is Still There!!…read more A couple of years ago, Frank told me he would be retiring in the next calendar year. I took his word for it and didn't bother him for my auto repair needs earlier this year (2022). Then my every other year smog situation reared its ugly head, and I was faced with not passing--again. Mind you, my vehicle had passed with flying colors up until four years ago. Then Frank figured out it was a vacuum line. I believe I reviewed the situation then (2020). This time around, I had a feeling I wouldn't pass. The feeling was correct. My NO PPM values were way too high. I decided to take a chance and see who was currently at the helm of A & B. FRANK WAS THERE! I was beside myself with happiness to see him sitting behind the desk when I walked in. I reminded him of which vehicle I had and I told him I'd bring in the previous paperwork to job his memory. I won't go into all of the details in between as not everyone is a car nut like I am. Frank figured out it was the EGR valve that was throwing the NO readings off. He made time for me the following week when he could store the vehicle inside overnight. I brought it on a Tuesday and it was ready by Thursday afternoon. He even took it to get retested! There just doesn't exist this level of customer service in basically any business anymore. Frank is fair, has reasonable rates, and doesn't tell you tall tales. I hope he doesn't retire soon. He is such an asset to the community! Please tip him and his staff if you take your car there. I do and they deserve it!

I don't typically leave reviews, but this experience with Burrough & Sons Automotive was concerning…read moreenough that I feel it needs to be shared. On Monday, July 27th, I called to schedule an alignment for my 2004 GMC Yukon Denali. I was given an appointment for Friday, July 31st at 9:00am and was told the alignment would take about an hour. When I dropped my vehicle off Friday morning, I explained to the worker that I had work from 11:30am-5:15pm and that I would not be able to answer my phone while I was working. Since the vehicle was dropped off at 9:00am and I was told the alignment would take about an hour, I expected there would be enough time for the service to be completed before I had to leave for work. I didn't mind if the vehicle stayed there for the day as long as I could pick it up afterward, but I was not expecting it to take all day. I was expecting to pay at drop-off so the keys could be left in the lockbox after hours if needed, but instead I was told I would receive a payment link online. I did not receive a text confirming my vehicle was ready along with the payment link until 2:53pm, well into my work shift. I had already explained that I would not be available to respond. They then called me at 3:40pm and again at 4:05pm, despite knowing I was at work and unable to answer. After reviewing the invoice, I noticed an additional $20.64 charge for adding oil because the vehicle was reportedly 1.5 quarts low. This was never discussed with me and I never gave approval for oil to be added or for that additional charge. The biggest concern came afterward. After leaving work and going to pick it up, I saw someone who worked there (who I later found out was the business owner) he told me that I did not pay the invoice by 4pm (which I was never told to do so- even after explaining my work situation with the business) and that the vehicle was going to be locked in the garage until Monday. I was later able to locate my vehicle parked in a residential neighborhood near the business owners house (which 2 miles from the business) after I was told multiple times that my vehicle was locked safely inside the garage. I was able to contact the owner from a mutual friend and he agreed to meet Saturday August 1st (they are closed for the weekend) for me to pick up my vehicle if I payed the payment link beforehand . Because I wanted my vehicle returned, I paid the invoice, including the unauthorized additional charge, even though I had intended to discuss it first. The following morning, Saturday, August 1st, I went to speak with the owner directly he arrived at the shop driving my vehicle. When I asked where my vehicle had actually been kept and why I was told it was in the garage. The business owner said it was actually parked at their storage lot and when I asked the location he repeatedly told me it was "none of my business." Instead of addressing my concerns, he became defensive and dismissive. I also noticed that the vehicle had been moved while it was in their possession. I reset my trip meter when I get gas and documented the mileage before dropping the vehicle off. When I dropped it off Friday, July 31st, the trip meter showed 47 miles. When I picked it up Saturday, August 1st, it showed 56 miles, which is an additional 9 miles. This raised additional concerns about how my vehicle was being handled while it was not in my possession. My concerns are not just about the alignment itself, they are about communication, transparency, additional charges that were never approved, and how customer vehicles are handled after hours. I have photo and video documentation of our conversation in person and the GPS data supporting my concerns regarding where my vehicle was located and the circumstances surrounding this situation. Additionally, I've filed a report and submitted this information to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Burrough & Sons Automotive

I already knew that I needed my serpentine belt changed due to it still being the OEM belt from when I first bought my car. After looking around, I came across Neoworks and made contact. A huge shout out to the team at Neoworks for the great service! I needed my serpentine belt replaced, and they handled it efficiently and with great communication. It's hard to find an honest, family-run shop like this. The whole process from quote to service was seamless. The owner is clearly very experienced, pricing was transparent and explained quite thoroughly and the turnaround time was very impressive. I'll definitely be back for future maintenance so if you're looking for reliable auto repair in El Sobrante or the East Bay, go to Neoworks. Truly a 5-star experience!
