Finishing Ip with the vent wheel
    Kelvin L.

I came here because of a review from Deborah. I have a bent wheel from a pothole and losing air overnight. When I drive the car on the freeway and it starts to vibrate. I have them check it out and there is the bent wheel. I called a few places and either it will take 3 hours to get there plus 1 day of work or overnight and cost a lot more to fix. Upon arrival, They took my car in right away and got everything done within 45mins. Hope there will be no leak by tomorrow morning . However the car is not shaking anymore.

Once again, never a disappointment. Great job guys!!!!! Got 2 sets of wheels mounted and balanced. Fast, friendly and courteous service. These tires are pretty big and heavy for most tire shops. Other places usually won't mount and balance or charge a ridiculous price. DC had ZERO issues mounting, balancing and charge a VERY reasonable price. I highly recommend off road vehicles to DC tires.

Flat Tire Fix- I came here with a flat tire, the guys fixed it within 15 minutes or so they are super fast and hard working young men. Cost: I believe I paid about $10 or so, I don't recall. Used tire cost: $30.00 Honest Tire Repair!

    Bent wheel before repair

Excellent customer service and quality work. I came in with a small bend on my Volk Racing TE37 wheel which is very expensive and the gentleman was able to fix the bend at a good cost. I called/emailed many places who either didn't offer the service or charged a ridiculous price. I just wanted to get the bend fix since I was going to repaint the wheel myself and some places tried to charge me to refinish the wheel (over $250!). Very happy with DC Tires and Rims. Attach is a photo of the bend and after the repair I repainted the wheel to a new color.

Nail in tire too big so I asked to get it patched from the inside of tire.

Needed a patch up on a tire. Drove down 23rd and this was 1 of the 2 spots open on Sunday at 9:30am. Went in and asked for a patch work from the inside of the tire since my nail was really big. Came in and out in under 20 mins. Total for my patch , $20. Would go again.

However, I noticed that as the gentleman in front of me pulled in, they decided to close up all of their base. That was interesting, considering the fact that they were going to be closed in 32 minutes. They say they close at 7:00 and at 6:28 they were closing up for the day. It wasn't like they were servicing so many people, they weren't gonna have time to get to us, there was no when they're getting serviced. The red headed manager was talking to the person in the car in front of me and took a long time talking to it. I eventually noticed that he was signaling for me to drive around to the other side of him and that's when I noticed that the man he was talking to was black, like me. This guy pulled off, after being told that they were closed and that they couldn't get any tire service. I explained my situation and told him that I just wanted to get air for my tire. I bought my tires at their sister station and I tried to put air into my tire and it wouldn't take. This guy said that he couldn't service me because they were emptying the air tanks and that it would talk 1/2 hour or so to turn it on again. Are you kidding me??? So I had to drive two blocks home on a tire that was flat to my rim. But, I was very lucky because he told me to go to two other tire shops in the area, something I would not have had to do if they would not have closed 32 minutes before they advertised. This reminds me of the southern stories I've heard of when Black people are driving through the south and wanted to find a hotel. They pulled into a hotel where it said no vacancy, and once the person operating hotel saw they were black the no vacancy sign would light up , I see their "no vacancy" sign or their "I don't wanna serve Black people sign" and it is time for them to close! I also want them to know that I sent my money elsewhere because I want to work with people are willing to give tires, the Black people and that should not be hard. This is my second interaction like this where I felt like I was turned away. I love the idea of having a tire shop down the street to get service, however, I hate the fact that I go in and I'm treated like a second class citizen. Maybe they do this because they are under new management. Maybe they don't like money from black peoples in their neighborhood. But the next day I drove almost one mile away and got proper service. They found the hole and offered a new or used tire, as they should. Because they actually want to service their customers.

I was honestly shocked when they only charged me $15 because they put so much time and effort into fixing it. I even tried to give them a tip because I really appreciated their work, but they kindly refused to take it. The staff were friendly and respectful, and I left feeling very grateful. I brought my car in after road debris caused a tire blowout and bent my rim. I needed the damaged tire replaced with a new one. During the tire replacement, my rim protector was damaged. I have photos documenting the damage. While the work was being done, I personally saw a young technician using what appeared to be a pry bar or similar metal tool around the tire/rim area. After the tire replacement, I noticed that my rim protector had been damaged. When I brought the damage to the attention of the manager/owner, he refused to take care of the problem and told me that I should have informed him beforehand that my wheel had a rim protector. I strongly disagree with that explanation. I brought my vehicle to a professional tire shop specifically because they are the professionals performing the tire removal and installation. I believe a reasonable part of professional tire service is inspecting the tire and wheel before beginning the work and identifying anything that may require additional care. The rim protector was already installed on the wheel when I brought the vehicle to them. Nobody asked me about it, nobody told me before starting the work that I needed to identify it for them, and nobody warned me that it could be damaged during the tire replacement. If the shop believed the rim protector required special handling or created a risk of damage, I believe that should have been identified and discussed with me BEFORE the work was performed--not after the damage occurred. I don't believe a customer should be expected to have the technical knowledge to point out every component or accessory on a wheel to a professional tire shop. If something on my vehicle could not be safely worked around, I would have expected the technician to stop and ask me before proceeding. What made the experience even worse was how the manager/owner communicated with me afterward. During our discussion, he became very aggressive in his manner and spoke to me in a loud voice. Rather than calmly discussing my concern and trying to reach a reasonable solution, I felt that my concern was simply being dismissed. I also personally heard him tell one of his workers that if they see me bringing my car in for service again, it is a "NO NO." I found that extremely unprofessional. I was not asking for special treatment--I was trying to address damage that I believe occurred while my vehicle was being serviced. Mistakes can happen at any business. What matters is how a business responds when a customer raises a concern. I would have appreciated a professional conversation, an explanation, and a reasonable effort to address the damage. Instead, I was met with an aggressive response, refusal to address the issue, and was effectively told that they did not want my future business. I have photos documenting the damage and am sharing my experience so other customers can make an informed decision before having their tires or wheels serviced here.
