Donny, your ego does not change the facts. When I called to let you know that my brakes were making a loud banging/scraping sound every time I braked, I was calm, respectful, and simply letting you know something was wrong after paying your shop to do my brakes and rotors. I was not yelling, cursing, or being disrespectful. Instead of handling it professionally, you personally cursed me out, called me a liar, told me I was no longer welcome there, and laughed while saying that if my brakes had been installed wrong, "I'd be dead." That is not funny. It is not reassuring. It is completely unacceptable from any business owner, especially when someone is calling about a serious safety issue. I then went to another professional brake shop for a second opinion, and they confirmed that the left rear caliper was missing a bracket bolt, and the bottom bolt was hand-tight/loose, which was causing the banging/popping sound when braking. So yes, there was a real issue, and I was absolutely right to call. I had been coming to this shop for three years with no issues, spending my money here and trusting you with my vehicle. That is what makes this even worse. The moment your shop made a dangerous mistake, instead of taking accountability, you chose arrogance, hostility, and intimidation. Honestly, I should have taken legal action. When a customer calls to report a serious brake issue after your shop performed the work, the response should never be insults, laughter, and banning them from the business. I called because something was wrong, not because I wanted an argument. It may be cheap. It may be convenient. But if something goes wrong and you speak up, be prepared for the owner to protect his ego instead of protecting his customers. You do not ever have to worry about getting my money again. I will never return, and I strongly caution anyone against trusting this shop with brake work or anything safety-related. read more

I came here because of a review from Deborah. I have a bent wheel from a pothole and losing air overnight. When I drive the car on the freeway and it starts to vibrate. I have them check it out and there is the bent wheel. I called a few places and either it will take 3 hours to get there plus 1 day of work or overnight and cost a lot more to fix. Upon arrival, They took my car in right away and got everything done within 45mins. Hope there will be no leak by tomorrow morning . However the car is not shaking anymore. read more

Had a crack in my Tesla model 3 rims that other others told me would be expensive to repair and they would have to send the rim to sacramento to repair. The process would take 3 -4 days before I got my rim back. And they didn't want me to take my car to their shop. They wanted me to take my wheel and tire off myself and just bring them the rim. This would've been a big hassle for me. I called around and found DC Tires and Rims and they ended up fixing my rim in 30 minutes for a very reasonable price then and there. Real nice read more

Instead of insisting that no quotes can be given over the phone, it would be useful if a price range was available for people interested in doing business with you. This is a great tire shop. I have kids and hate dragging them in and out of the car. So anywhere I can stay in the car is where I'll get service. The customer service is respectful and efficient. I came to this shop a few times and have never seen workers standing around. They are always busy getting customers in and out. I came in to check on a tire that might be linking. They checked it and it wasn't so they didn't want me to pay anything. I tried giving some money for the labor but the worker refused and said just come back if an issues comes up. He pumped all my tires for me and send me off. I would recommend to all friends, family and even enemies. read more

Today i visited this tire shop because my tire light was on and when i pulled in i was greeted immediately with a smile, I stated my problem and was told not to worry. The staff was very friendly and now a days being a female you have to worry about getting overcharged but not with DC tires and rims. I had to replace a tire and to my surprise it was a nice looking used tire and it didn't cost as much as i thought it would be. I encourage all to stop by and give DC Tires & Rims a shot ! SO CONSIDERATE. So i tagged along with brother-in-law to get new rims and tires. Back story is that he went somewhere else before this place and that shop slapped on the wrong rims and on top of that they took his good tires and slapped on old used tires with a nail in it!!! Seriously unbelieveable how unethical some businesses can be especially during such hard times like covid. Then he came across this place and i had to write a review because of how generous they were. Even though it wasnt my car i had to share the caringness. These guys listened to the brother-in-law's situation and they put on some new rims and patched up the tire to run like new. On top of that they only charged for Labor work. They were quick and efficient. Bonus.... if you have a dog... they even have a water bowl for your pup while waiting. =] read more

Excellent customer service and quality work. I came in with a small bend on my Volk Racing TE37 wheel which is very expensive and the gentleman was able to fix the bend at a good cost. I called/emailed many places who either didn't offer the service or charged a ridiculous price. I just wanted to get the bend fix since I was going to repaint the wheel myself and some places tried to charge me to refinish the wheel (over $250!). Very happy with DC Tires and Rims. Unsure why these customer give such a bad rating when these guys are THE ONES. A few weeks ago I was in a urgent situation where I needed a new rim because my brand NEW rim got a big dent. Due to the rain, potholes and construction sites by my job. Anyway, I went to 3 different "tire shops/specialist". They told me they could repair it. According to them, they been doing it for years etc. However, NO! They either charged me tooo much and at the moment they couldn't do it because they said it was 'warped' a bad rim that suggested to replaced. My rim is outta stock and the factory no longer makes them. These guys only charged to $65 to easily fix, and balance my rim. When it could have cost me MORE time & and at least $400 while driving on a spare. Furthermore, they courteously checked all tire pressures without even asking. Right on! Genius wheel technicians at the 'D&C Tires and Wheels' in Richmond quickly resolved my MB_AMG's high speed vibration issue. As you can see in this BBS rim (Reverse side shown) that came with the vehicle had all four missing special rim to hub adapters 'Hub Centerics' and are vehicle to vehicle specific. Upon tech's advise I ordered the required parts thru BBS dealer, and after D&C Wheel & Tires techs quickly and professionally installed them and upon my first crossed finger test drive my wheel vibration was history!! and for a moment I couldn't believe that I was driving the same car! For my car's this high speed vibration, I have taken my car to three well known tire shops and to a Mercedes -Benz dealership and were given multiple quotes which ranged as high as $1650 and yet all pointing in the wrong directions i.e. Bad motor/transmission mounts! Terrible place. Manager was mad and yelling at a customer he was helping before me, Maybe I went in on a bad day. I went in to buy a tire because i had a nail on the side that couldnt be patched and the mad manager asked me what I needed, I asked for a replacement tire and he brought out a almost bald used tire and tried to charge me 35 for just the used tire without installation. I told him that was expensive and he started yelling and said you get what you pay for, I just got in my car, I then went down the street and got a brand new tire for 40 bucks installed. D&D: Yes. I work in Richmond, so I have gotten advice to come here after an unfortunate event with a nail and my car from my friend. Sadly, nail won, but this place has won me over! This place sells used tires, but will also repair the old one. Luckily, I kept the old one and showed the mechanic that the nail went through it. At first I wasn't clear and he assumed I wanted a new tire for the car, but then I showed him the other one and he said he could do it for $10 to patch up the old one! What a great practice, instead of taking advantage of people and forcing them to buy things they don't need, to actually help them. A great place in Richmond!
