I've loved all the products from here especially the hormone tincture, it genuinely helped me so much. I was having some physical problems and feel like it helped heal me in a very real and gentle way. I also really liked the herbal rescue balm for my stretch marks. It felt very soothing and I haven't had as many which is amazing since it's herbal and not made of chemicals. I feel grateful to find a herbal spot run by a local Mexican Woman where things are actually done by her, I've seen her make some products and she's very thorough and sanitary. We were legitimately excited to check this place out and support a local small business, but unfortunately had a terrible experience from start to finish. In the end, we paid $60 for merchandise we ended up leaving behind due to the terrible interaction we had with the proprietor. When we first walked in, she was nowhere to be seen. We spent the first five minutes wandering around alone, looking at the products, until she appeared from the back. My friend asked her about her teas and was immediately met with an awkward and abrupt "I'm not a doctor and can't give medical advice." We weren't asking for advice on health conditions; we were asking for some information on the teas she was selling. After a few more awkward exchanges we bought two and left. Five minutes later, two blocks down the street in another store, the proprietor shows up - had tracked us down - to inform us that our two 12-year-old boys had sprayed a couple of the room sprays that hadn't been clearly marked as "testers" even though they were sitting in a row of about 8 other "tester" bottles. She demanded "accountability" and escorted us back to her store, forcing us to buy two of the room sprays that she said had been used. The kids had made an honest mistake, maybe sprayed one spritz by accident from a bottle that didn't have the tester sticker, and now she was delivering a lecture and coercing us into buying two $15 room sprays she said had been touched! So, wanting this whole uncomfortable affair to end, we had the kids apologize and bought the sprays. Half a block down the street, we decided we didn't want to carry any of her bad juju with us, took the bag of products back and left them on the counter. $60 worth of products, down the tube. It was my friend's birthday and this woman had ruined our afternoon. No one should expect to run a thriving small business when you provide obtuse and awkward responses to legitimate product questions and then proceed to hunt paying customers down on the street and demand payment for merchandise that was handled lightly by two CHILDREN. Bad energy, bad customer service. We paid $60 for nothing. We'll never go here again and will tell others not to bother either. read more

Store has great selection of loose tea. I met Nayeli, the owner, who blends them herself. She answered my questions though her passionate expertise went over my head -- in a good way. I'm sad to read she may be closing the shop Sept 19. I will definitely be back. read more

I really really enjoy this place. It's such a vibe. The colors are on point. The people are super lovely. The products are amazing. They sell a variety of things here from loose leaf tea to serums to medicinal items. This last time I went I got the All The Flowers Facial Serum. What I love about it is that it feels like it keeps my face moisturized throughout the night. I've tried a lot of products and they all fail in comparison to them. Definitely a spot worth trying especially if you are someone looking for a more holistic approach Plus I think it's a BIPOC or a Womxn owned business and I love supporting my people. read more

I was having an okay experience in here. I got in and my mom and sister were looking at the tea menu. We got a hi and immediately both girls walked away, didn't bother to help us look at the menu. When we asked about the teas we kept getting the 'we're not doctors so we can't recommend anything' response. I understand but I meant flavor wise. Anyways, we grab our drinks and leave. We walk a block or so up and then pass the place again to go to my car when I hear 'Oh there they are! Guys! Hey guys!!' I turn and it's one of the girls saying that my payment didn't go through. She's telling me to check if it went through on my end and I was already over it and just paid again. I shouldn't be getting chased down the street for a mistake they made. *again* they walked away before making sure payment went through and completely ignored us when we were in there talking to another man that walked in. I had been excited to see this place but I don't think I'll be fighting for parking in Logan to come back. This place needs people who are willing to help a customer, be friendly, and just be engaged. read more

I've been wanting to visit NG Apothecary for a few weeks. I usually buy herbs at the Hillcrest Farmers Market - Shout out Loose Leaf! but have been looking for a store front where I can buy herbs by weight, individually, and more sustainably. I've googled so many chinese herb stores in San Diego and just like this place for some reason I've always been a bit intimidated to pay them a visit. Well, this sunny Saturday on the Fourth of November I did! Brewed myself a cup of courage tea, had a few herbs in mind i was looking for and ventured into NG there was no one there to greet me when I walked in and no one in sight. It's super cute. Shelves filled with elixers, art filled walls, a tea bar and jars and jars full of herbs. Ooooh heaven is a place on earth. i began to peruse the shelves, reading the ingredients of the elixirs and oils. After about five minutes of alone time in the store, through the back patio a girl walked in carrying a three foot bong. at first i thought she was another customer, but then i realized she worked there when she stepped behind the counter. she didn't say much, so i didn't say much and kept looking around at pretty much everything. At this point the employee came up to the shelf i was looking through and started stocking and so i took the opportunity to ask if she had a favorite elixir or product. she seemed a little confused at first - she was high af. it's okay. i was too. she said the chill elixir was her fav. then walked away. I guess at this point i didn't know if i was being weird or if she was being weird so i was like i just need to get out of here now. like i said this witch was there for her herbs. i looked through the herb menu. Most of the herbs are about $5 per oz. I asked the high af employee for two herbs. i saw both on the shelf. without looking she said that they were out of one, i was super confused, 'cause i literally saw it on the shelf. At this point my partner walked in coming from Cafe Moto, so i asked him if the Jar on the shelf was labeled the herb that i asked for ( i am blind, so i thought maybe i didn't read it correctly) He confirmed that it was the herb that i asked for. the high employee was fumbling, moving jars around, looking for things, trying to put together the two herbs i asked for. Then another worker walked in. She seemed alert and friendlier. my partner asked the high one if the jar of herbs was mislabeled. she looked at us blankly and responded, no? and then i was like oh can i have an oz of that one or is it not available? She seemed confused, I was confused, my partner was confused. we were all confused. At this point the new employee was feeling the weird vibes and started helping the high employee. She confirmed with me what i needed, helped her high colleague pack and weigh the herbs, rung me up and charged me. In the end i left happy with my herbs and i'll be back for more- but dude, what an odd experience that was. ***After a little more research on the business, it seems like the stoner chick is maybe the owner/Store manager/ person in charge? Maybe it was an off day, maybe they were dealing with a lot of personal stuff, but sort of wish i had a better experience with them, if so. I'll be the first to get stoney on a Saturday morning, but if i'm running a business and working with customers - maybe i'll eat a gummy and have a slow burn kinda morning. It really created a weird environment and now i feel like they don't care about their business or something? It's giving weird af vibes. Anyway overall - herbs are great for the price. can't speak to elixirs or anything else. read more

Whenever I walk into NG Apothecary, I am always greeted with a warm smile and feel incredibly welcomed. This place is like a cozy, cute little haven in the heart of logan. The ambiance is just perfect with its and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights for me is their drink selection. The teas here are absolutely delicious! I've tried most of them, and each one has its own unique and delightful flavor. My favorite has to be the matte mint - it's so refreshing and invigorating, perfect for any time of the day.
