Beautiful spot with very picturesque drinks! Try them out. We got pink energy refresher and it was much needed. Very friendly staff

Cute place to grab, tea, matcha, coffee. Located in downtown San Diego 2 blocks from the ocean and maritime museum. You can also get sandwiches, dessert here. I ordered the miracle potion matcha latte. Look at the pics how beautiful it is. The sparkly butterfly melts my heart but it is edible too. Most people come for English style brunch or afternoon tea. Brunch tea is $39 per person and afternoon tea is $59 per person. I don't know the time cut off or the difference in foods served as I have not tried. It is in the upstairs space, which I didn't get to view. You will need to reserve and there is mandatory gratuity for parties of 6 or more. The only downside is there are only 3 or 4 tables, so it's more grab and go. Don't bring more than 1 person to come with you unless you reserved the English tea sessions. Hours are 8a-3p or 8a-4p on Saturdays. Parking is a challenge here or costly at paid lots. Will be back to try the miracle potion brunch experience.

Miracle Potion is a literal dream. I had the pleasure of enjoying their Afternoon Tea for a girlie solo date, and I felt like the most special little princess dumpling, healing my inner child in perfect pink pleasantry. Service was perfect, every bite was more delicious than the last, and I cannot wait to return!

Such a lovely cafe but an even better tea room! It was really easy to reserve our tea ahead online. As soon as we got there they brought us upstairs for their special afternoon tea experience. Their tea consisted of individual cups of tea with a pot of hot water for each person (we were only a party of 2), sparkling pink lemonade, 3 sandwiches, classic biscuits with French butter, and an assortment of desserts. While I was a bit bummed to have tea bags in my cup instead of infused tea in a full pot, it still worked! You are allowed two different flavors of tea, so you would just keep adding your hot water to one tea bag until done and then switch to your next flavor. I had their spiced apple chai and gingerbread teas. I absolutely loved the spiced apple chai whereas my friend loved the gingerbread more. They do offer a wonderful assortment of teas. My favorite sandwich was the salmon croissant although ALL of them were fresh and absolutely delicious. I did enjoy my scone but I was just so excited to have real French butter that the butter definitely outshined the scone. Still all was delectable! Their desserts are almost too beautiful to even eat. Luckily, everything I had was as delicious as it looked. A great overall tea experience!

The cutest atmosphere and the cutest drinks! I love that the matcha wasn't too sweet but SUCH a vibe. Would definitely come back and try other things

Definitely one of my favorite spots to come to. She always has fresh bake pastries so yummy and always makes my coffee exactly the way I love it.

So glad I finally stopped in here after months of passing by when it was closed. The ambience is spectacular, a clean and pink aesthetic that leans more mature and naturesque versus barbieesque. Immediately I was greeted by the warm and friendly woman at the register and it was such a relief because that's not a norm here sadly as I have come to find in downtown but not here. She was also so helpful when I asked for recommendations and I can't wait to come back and try the other recommendations. I ordered an oat milk caramel latte and the cinnamon roll. I appreciated that they took their time to prepare the drink meticulously and warm up the roll properly. It arrived on an adorable pink tray and I could smell the magnificence of the cinnamon roll (like the legit homemade version) that I had to take a few bites before heading out. Wow! Phenomenal, rich, and delicious! And the latte was just right. Not overly sweet but also not too milky. Perfectly balanced. I'm glad my espresso machine is under repair so I could visit this lovely place. Already looking forward to coming back!

A really, cute cafe with great options for chai. The lunch special was good and I'll definitely need to try other desserts here.

It was a pop of color on the street so I was drawn into going inside. Cute little cafe that sells pastries and drinks including coffees and teas. I got their Banana Chai drink and wow! It was so delicious and even refreshing. The staff were nice, quick with our drink too. They also have an upstairs area for reservations wanting to hold a tea party. I'll be coming back!

This place seems like a cute little spot. It's pink and fun and the drinks are pretty good. I had their signature matcha drink which was violet flavored and had rose petals. It was recommended by the owner and my only critique would be that once I got towards the bottom of my drink I couldn't really finish it because I was just sucking up the dried rose pieces. I would definitely come back and try something different.

Professional service, lots to choose from, the place is so cute!! Definitely interested in the private tea parties.

This spot is so cute and pink! Downstairs is just a cafe, but if you're doing afternoon tea, they take you upstairs. The savory items were very tasty and petite desserts were delicious. You also get sparkling pink lemonade when you are seated and choice of two teas. Definitely a lovely spot for tea time with the girls or day date!

Miracle Potion is hands down one of the most beautiful coffee shops I've ever been to -- it's like an Instagram dream come true! Everything is decked out in pink -- walls, flowers, décor -- it's absolutely adorable and perfect for that cute photo op. It's conveniently located right next to the San Diego Santa Fe Amtrak station, so it's a great spot to hang out while waiting for your train. We actually missed ours and had an hour to kill -- this place saved the day. I ordered a chocolate croissant but ended up getting what looked more like a chocolate bread bite. It was tasty, just not what I was expecting. The pink lemonade sparkling drink was refreshing and crisp, and their famous pink latte was surprisingly good -- smooth, creamy, and Insta-worthy. Overall, it's a fun little coffee shop with a unique aesthetic and solid drinks.

Is this by appt only or can walk in?

For the high tea service, you do need a reservation.

Is the pink drink rose? Or just the color as another reviewer suggests?

Yes, it's a rose flavored latte but they can make almost any drink pink, even the matcha latte.

I did enjoy the egg one much more as the katsu one had a strong vinegary sauce that was overpowering the whole sando. Service/Ambiance 4/5: There was plenty of seating and the workers were nice. Based on other comments and the AI summaries I saw on Yelp and Google, it was recommended that I order ahead which is exactly what I did and it was a fairly easy and a quick system. It looks like their weekly menu keeps changing which is a both a good thing and a bad thing because you get to try new things but may not always get to eat your favorites again. I pre-ordered on a Thursday for a pick up on Friday and they were already out of their seasonal Black Forest Bun which sounded delicious. After scrolling through the menu multiple times, I decided to get the Pistachio Strawberry croissant and the Kouign Amann. When I arrived at the store, I immediately noticed the pre-order pick up window and was so glad that I wasn't standing in what seems to be on atleast a 25-30 line which I though was crazy for a weekday morning. The staff that gave my order was so friendly and it was so quick. What's great is they hold your order for atleast 24 hours in case you're unable to pick it up. There is some seating in the patio but honestly it's not meant for sitting and enjoying the pastries because there aren't really any tables but only seating. So it's best to pick up and take it home or eat by the beach which is what I did. The place is cute with a lot of plants and good vibes though. Since they don't warm up the croissants , I was worried that it wouldn't taste good while eating it at the beach but I was absolutely wrong. The Kouign Amann was okay, I'd give it a 4/5. The Pistachio Strawberry croissant however, was so absolutely delicious I'd give it a 5/5 even though it wasn't warmed up, it had the perfect amount of sweetness. It's easily one of the best croissants I've ever had. Overall this place has absolutely delicious pastries, but I'm not sure if I'd stand in a 30 mins line, maybe 10-15 mins, so good for them to have the pre order system.

As a tip, order ahead for pickup! Wayfarer opens its doors at 8 am, with online pickups avaliable as early as 9 - 9:15am. We walked right up, passed the already growing line, and enjoyed our breakfast. Truly the only way to skip waiting in line; going early won't cut it! We got three different croissants, as well as a baguette. Can't go wrong with the original, but the standout (to me) was the almond, with a crunchy top and stuffed with almond filling (think marzipan!). Perfectly balanced, and the almond, nor the sweetness, was not too overpowering. The Kouign-Amann had a crunchy, sugary shell. Almost like a creme brulee topping on a croissant. Sticky, but so delicious. Also shoutout to the baguette! One of the best I've had. Next time I'll have to bring some fruit, cheese, and honey. Wayfarer's vibes transported me to a community garden in Santa Cruz, and the tastes and techniques to Europe. Good thing it's inconvenient to get here from UC San Diego or else I'd be here much more often.

Lines are always better with a friend and even though we all arrived before opening there was still a healthy line. I was really excited, to finally get to check them out, I saw on their socials that a new chef had taken residency and that they came with some Filipino flair. As a fellow Filipino I definitely wanted to support. I ended up ordering a lumpia roll, ube butter ensaymada, a halo halo tart and a egg sando sandwich along with an iced matcha with honey, with tip my total was $48, which isn't horrible considering these are meant to be higher quality pastries. My girlfriends and I found a table and decided we would share, I shared my egg sando sandwich and the lumpia roll, while they shared their ube butter ensaymada and the turon kouign amann. My matcha, was a horrible, it was a muddy green and really lacked any matcha flavor, my friend didn't like her matcha either and she had the miso caramel matcha. I didn't even finish my matcha and I can really take one down. We joked about how we should have opted for the orange juice instead. Now for the pastries, I was really underwhelmed by them, the ensaymada was just fine, I honestly cannot remember the taste of it, it lacked something. The egg sando sandwich, the filling was plentiful and flavorful BUT the bread was dry, was that potato bread? The texture was off for me and I ended up just scooping out the filling and eating it like that. Where the sando had a good amount of filling the lumpia roll lacked it, it was so sparse I figured it would be more like a sausage roll so I was taken aback by how little there was in it. Flavors were fine, the pastry was buttery but I just wanted a little more. The one pastry we agreed was better than the rest was the turon kouign amann, the crunchy bits of sugar was so reminiscent of turon but the filling, for me was like uncooked banana bread batter, that threw me off entirely. It was better, but not the filling. So overall, I would say it was okay, I guess for the costs it just didn't meet my expectations.

Then to top it all off, it had pistachio cream on top of the cookie! I only wish I got another one. CAPPUCCINO It was okay. But love the foam! It was frothy and foamy! PAVLOVA The meringue was a bit too hard and too sweet and the pastry cream was overwhipped. Loved the fresh fig and blueberries though. I was looking forward to eating pavlova and this was very disappointing! KOUIGN AMANN Very buttery and sticky! Crispy on the outside. Every bite was not dry, but chewy. There was this sticky and chewy texture that wasn't unpleasant, yet it wasn't fully flaky like a croissant. But glad it was not dry! The kouign amann was not as tall like others I've tried, but I preferred it this way because it was not dry. The last kouign amann I had from Bread Lounge was dryyyy. Good dark chocolate. BUTTER CROISSANT Really buttery, flaky, crispy! Ate it next day, so reheated it in the toaster oven to bring a more crispness all around. Really enjoyed this! Adding butter and jam is so good! LEMON MERINGUE Meringue had a strong eggy smell and flavor, the lemon was tangy, but not enough to rid of the eggy smell and flavor. The tart was hard and almost stale. I took a few bites and threw the rest out. PAIN SUISSE Chocolate flavor. Crispy on the outside, fluffy like a light spongy cake inside. Enjoyed this! CUSTOMER SERVICE Got there early afternoon. There was only one person in front of me. Good service overall. Quick service. Hits and misses of the various pastries I've tried. It will not deter me from trying their pastries though, as the really good ones were really good! Would love to return! Especially for that Choco Chip Pistachio Cookie! LOCATED INSIDE ANOTHER STORE Located inside a store called Floral Palette, which is a floral shop and specialty gift store. Beautiful store! The sign is big, so you cannot miss it!

They were amazing!!! I got the biscoff matcha latte with the biscoff foam and a few slices of cake. It was soooo good. I'm going try to plan for some relaxing time next time. The inside was beautiful and peaceful. Looks like a great place to start my day.

The crowd will come and go, so there's some moments of reprieve if you're considering this spot for reading/working. My "low" rating is because I feel quite mixed about the quality of the consumables. I really enjoyed my orange blossom latte. They accommodated a decaf shot for me, given how late it was in the day. I got a sesame raspberry cake to go, planning for it to be a nice dessert treat for dinner. The mini cake tastes like sesame, and the thin spread of raspberry was nice to break th creaminess. So while it tastes really nice, I was let down by the uneven raspberry taste and since it wasn't enough, the cake turned out to be too sweet when I got to the second half. Maybe this is a quality control issue, but I'm not sure I'll get another $12 mini cake from them any time soon.
