The dentist is the worst person I've ever experienced, she is so rude and mean 2 years ago i came there and when she looked at my mouth she said OH MY GOD! out loud and really embarrassed me, I thought maybe she had a bad day and last year I came back when I opened my mouth she said JESUS CHRIST out loud. I don't have the best teeth but I don't deserve to be treated and embarrassed like that, I hope you read this and don't do this to anyone else. I've been going to Dr. Quynh Chi ever since I ever grew my first tooth! That's over 20+ years. BEST DENTIST EVER. I don't ever remember fearing the dentist and still don't fear the dentist. She is gentle but also very thorough during cleanings. When I left to San Diego for college, I tried a few other dentists but always ended up going back to her during summer/winter breaks. I've had my history of cavities but she does a very good job filling my cavities. Nothing to complain about. Qualified dentist from UOP with so many years of experience. Clean office. Waiting room for adults and kids. Never a long wait. I'm always seen within 5 mins of my appointment time. She takes the time to talk to you and remembers what you're up to! + she speaks perfect English and never judges me aha! 10/10 would recommend. read more

I haven't had the chance to visit a dentist in years due to my busy schedule so I finally decided to visit Dr. Nguyen's dental office as a new patient. I was kind of scared to visit the office due to the pandemic, but I knew I needed a cleaning. The receptionist was very helpful in answering the questions I had, and it's great to see that their office takes COVID precautions seriously. They screen you before you can come inside and the office is neat and clean! Dr. Nguyen took her time cleaning my teeth, she made sure to check for cavities since I haven't been to a dental office in a while. Very kind and sweet dentist! Unlike other dentists, she actually give details to the filing making realistic. And she make sure I'm fully numb before working on me. She doesn't rush like any other place. Most disrespectful dentist I've ever met. I have 2 kids and made the appt for a cleaning for the same day. 1. They asked us to come in early bc they were available. Our appt was at 4:30pm. So we came in at 345pm. Waited 15mins before anyone even asked us to fill out paperwork. Paperwork took 5 mins to fill out. Then we waited until 445pm for the first kid to go in. Why did you ask us to come early saying that you were available?!?!?! There's ONE dentist and she had a different child in her chair. SHE IS NOT AVAILABLE!!! 2. First time here. I wanted to be with my child. I want to see the interaction btw the dentist and the kids. They ask me to wait outside until after the X-ray. They that call me in after the X-ray. No, they did the cleaning without me present. 3. Cleaning only took 15min! Really!?! What are you going to charge me for that? I guess I'll see. 4. I ask to go back there to be with my child. They said it's against policy. You said you would call me back there after the x-ray. Then the dentist said if you don't trust me. Take your child and go. Then she said I was gonna call u back there but you don't trust me. First off, trust needs to be built. I wanted to see ur interaction with my children the 1st time. And if we are all comfortable. The next time they will go in alone. 2nd of all, you lied. You can't make up ur mind if it's policy or not for a parent to go back there. Take my child and leave. Of course I did. Mind you, only one child got the cleaning, the other I'll find a better dentist. Do not treat your patients or their parents as if we are beneath you. You are not superior to us and there was no need for you to raise your voice to talk over me when I'm trying to explain to you what I as a parent expect from someone who is holding sharp objects up to my child's face. Long overdue review. I've been seeing Chi since I was 7 years old. My whole family has been with her for 25+ years. She does not disappoint when it comes to ensuring your teeth are taken care of. My teeth are close to perfect thanks to her regular cleanings, deep cleanings, and occasional porcelain fillings. In summary, her office is very professional and Covid friendly. The dentist is so sweet! She and her assistant talks about really silly things while you're getting your teeth cleaned. The office staff actually slightly remembers your background information (work, school, etc). They are all super sweet people! It doesn't make the dental office visit scary =P There is barely any wait time there, if you're on time! Scheduling is very easy. There is a small play area for kiddies. The office is always clean and full of fun magazines to read. If you have concerns, she will address them and figure out the best course for therapy (like in my mom's case she had gum disease, and now its treated for). She's a terrible dentist. She does the sloppiest teeth cleaning. Every single time I'm there, she never pays attention to anything she's doing. Last year, she chipped a small part of my back tooth while she was using the scraper thing to remove plaque. She wasn't even looking in my mouth AT ALL. Also, she waits for your cavities to get super bad THEN she fills them. & if you aren't Viet and don't understand what she's saying, she talks so much shit about her other patients to her assistant while cleaning or working on your teeth. If there was a way to give this Dentist a ZERO I would. Be careful when you are with her. I had the experience with her from age 5 to 9 where I was SMART enough to witch dentists. I am currently almost 19 My experiences with this dentist: 1) Swallowing a tooth being extracted. 2) Gagging because she would not change her ways to make me feel comfortable For my Dad, she TOOK ALL HIS INSURANCE OFF ONE time cleaning. We argued and she gave it back to us. This has ACCIDENTALLY happened a few times in the past and we just thought it as a mistake For my brother, we had a switch of insurance in the middle of the year and we brought him to a new dentist for this specialist thing. For some reason NGUYEN QUYNH CHI decided to max out both his insurances. The other before it expired and this one which was received last month. She SCAMS a lot of people so DO NOT GO TO HER for your OWN GOOD. MY brother has been going to him with my dad for the past 5 years. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. SHE SCAMS HER LONG TIME PATIENTS. I have been going to Doctor Chi for roughly 13 years now. While somewhat small, her waiting room is well kept, with a wide variety of magazines available to "distract" you. Granted, when you arrive, your waiting time is only a short period anyways. Maybe it is due to the fact that I schedule my appointments during the early afternoon. Whatever the case, once you sign in, you practically get called to one of the stations within 5 minutes. Once there, Doctor Chi does the business of getting whatever is needed for your teeth done. Overall, she is very conversational, friendly, and pleasant. The staff is extremely professional and welcoming. If you are currently looking for a dentist, I highly recommend that you give Doctor Chi a visit. read more

Been coming here over 15 years now and I love her!! Dr. Nguyen has been careful and attentive when cleaning/polishing my teeth, just today I had 2 small cavities in my teeth and they filled it on the spot so I wouldn't have to make another trip to the dental center. She is also very attentive to your personal health and remembers facts about you that I have told her in the past, even after months of not seeing her. I've been going to Dr. Nguyen for more than ten years, and she's very sweet and gentle. She's very accommodating and understanding when you tell her about your problems. The only problem is the cost factor. She charges a tremendous amount of money for cleaning and x-rays--a total of $130 for a person w/o dental insurance.
