Pho with beef slice and brisket
    Tim C.

I came here with my wife and I got their sliced beef and brisket pho and my wife ordered a beef vermicelli bowl. Both were delicious! My pho had plenty of meat, and the flavor of the broth was spot on. The size was generous and the toppings were great as well, all for a reasonable price. My wife's vermicelli bowl also was a generous portion and was tasty. Indoor seating at the restaurant is somewhat limited - there are only 3 tables with each table being able to seat 4-6 people, so many people ordered take out. The service was very friendly, and we got our food very soon after we ordered it.

The owner was extremely nice and accommodated changes my friend and I made to our meals. What I really enjoyed was that a lot of customers knew her by name, it showed me she always shows them kindness when they eat from her establishment. I wish the seating space was bigger but it didn't really matter because other diners were willing to share tables. Overall, I recommend this as a place to get great Pho in Charlottesville. There are plenty of other food and drink options available too!

Loved this place!! We are visiting from Virginia Beach with my 3 kids, and found this gem! It's a small place with only 3 tables, seems to be more for takeout, but have the option to stay and eat. My husband is Vietnamese and from Richmond, so we have had our fair share of various Vietnamese cuisines. We had the bun bo hue(spicy), the pork vermicelli, and the wonton noodle soup! So delicious, my picky kids even ate well! They tasted fresh and homemade, their fish sauce was very well made also (makes a difference!). Not only was their food delicious, the owner was beyond sweet. She talked to us and took care of us like we were visitors in her own home. I wasn't expecting any table service, but she did ask on different occasions if we needed anything, more water, napkins, more fish sauce! Overall great experience, and we will definitely come back next time we are in the area!

The Korean wings are to die for! I highly recommend the wings and a bbq pork steamed bun.

Spent half an hour waiting for my food. It was just ok when I finally got it. No sense of urgency from anyone in the kitchen

The best boba in town with lots of choice food wise. We love all the food and it's such a treat coming here.

If you are looking for a lively atmosphere for a date night or a night out with friends, Mas tapas is for you! The staff here is incredible; helpful with their selections and operates like a family. When introducing others to Charlottesville, this is my go to. I cannot even begin to unpack the vibrancy of the food. Anything with aioli is a hit! It's a reminder of the strength of the Charlottesville food scene. It glows with that warm, golden-hour energy -- the hum of conversation, the clink of glasses, the scent of garlic and olive oil drifting through the air. Every dish feels like a small act of intention. The ultimate real pleasure is the rhythm of the place: tapas arriving slowly enough to savor, fast enough to keep you leaning in for more; an atmosphere that manages to feel both lively and deeply relaxed. It's the true peak: a simplicity and richness; a love note in the shape of a restaurant. Must try: - Gambas à la Parilla - Datil Con Tocino -queso con marmelada -ensalada Lechuga -papas bravas

High end tapas...a little pricey, but also worth the price -- unique and creative dishes. The plates came in two sizes -- the regular tapas style and one that is a double portion for double the price. Menu is typewritten and presumably changes with frequency; we enjoyed the carne asada, lamb sliders, bacon wrapped dates, guisado, and a few others -- all delicious. Nice cocktail menu and some interesting (and unusual) wines on the list, both by the glass and by the bottle. The room is surprisingly informal -- bare brick walls, loud music, hip servers in t-shirts - so probably not the place for a business dinner. But for a splurge social occasion and a group that is good sharing food...five stars.

Shrimp were like rubber could not even chew them up they seem to be store-bought really they're so bad right now even I look at them and they're terrible. The l Yokohama ramen was covered in terms of pork which was the main thing in the ramen the noodles were cold hard to eat and no flavor no soups in it one piece of seaweed about the size of a silver dollar. Overall I am completely disappointed and every part of the meal I do have one good compliment which is I left my wallet on the counter and return to find it in the same place which was good I just wish it would have been placed to the side so nobody could walk up and kick it. It was my fault for doing that but I really appreciate the person. I just returned my so-called Japanese food from last night because I have health condition I could not make it back out but it was so bad I had to take it back. The owner starts yelling at me so does the lady saying I fresh cooked all this there's no way in hell that was tempura shrimp and fresh cooked it was store-bought and I know what store-bought shrimp looks like and I'm going to bring him back a sample of it but neither one of them are from Japan at River bend in Japan and it doesn't even taste Japanese and most of the reviews I read thinking it's a Chinese place Chinese food doesn't take like this Japanese food doesn't take like this. The man continued to argue with me about how good it was in San he cooked it fresh he did not cook it there was only the woman in there and she was trying to say she didn't cook it and I walked back there to see it and she was cooking. Very disappointed he gave me half my money back which is not good business he has no understanding of Japanese culture at all people don't treat people like that in Japan I don't treat like people like that because I always felt like I was Japanese. Very disappointing
