This poke place surprised me with its soba base, adding a refreshing twist to the usual poke offerings. The service was fast and friendly, although the menu could be clearer about which options does not contain raw ingredients (they marked something wrong, I have to ask to double check). Nevertheless, the ingredients were fresh, making it a delightful and convenient spot for a quick meal.

A pretty solid poke bowl place albeit I didn't really put too much effort into ordering. I ordered a House Bowl while my girlfriend ordered a custom salmon bowl for a total of ~$37 which is quite steep considering we paid the same amount of the other poke bowl place in Philly. It tasted good and was warm, but it wasn't anything that amazing. The fish was subpar as it wasn't that fresh. Considering that it's hard to find other poke bowl places around here, this is your best bet, but it's nothing too special. Expect a good quality meal for a rather steep price. I would recommend going if you're craving this in Charlottesville, but know that you can get better at other places in VA.

Delicious food (sushi was amazing) and the staff were super friendly! Build your own bowls or choose from their menu of pre-selected combinations. Much healthier option for us than regular fast food. Will return when we can!! Fun eat-in atmosphere - we enjoyed our visit.

Came here for dinner with a friend. We were craving poke and our meal at Poke Sushi Bowl hit the spot. The poke bowls are good but not amazing. Notably, they have decent cuts of fish for Charlottesville. In addition, the ingredients were fresh which was nice. I created my own bowl-- Sushi White Rice, Salmon, Cucumber, Edamame, Sweet Onion, Jalapeño, Mango, Masago, Ponzu Citrus, Avocado, Furikake, Green Onion. I love the combination of salmon and ponzu citrus, so I based my bowl around those two. It was good and satisfied my poke craving. My friend ordered the Dragon Bowl. It was also good but not amazing. The crab meat and eel were tasty. And the mix-in ingredients were nice and fresh.

Fast and delicious. Very easy to order and add in extra toppings - I added pineapple and mango to the rainbow bowl. Fish was fresh and everything tasted incredible. Highly recommend

Great place for fresh, healthy food, especially if you are on Keto. This is one of my favorite places to go in Barracks Shopping Center, and I honestly should have visited a long time ago! Located in the heart of Barracks Shopping Center, Poke Sushi Bowl Barracks is located across other popular food joints like Five Guys and Panera. Unlike these places though, Poke Sushi Bowl definitely is easier to go to for health conscious dieters. Poke Bowl's options include a wide variety of bowls with or without rice and you choice of toppings: tuna, salmon, crab. There are also additional topping options like avocado, ginger macadamia, nuts, and other healthy ingredients. However, besides bowls, Poke also offers ramen and soba both of which were highly recommended to me. For me, though, the reason I like Poke so much is I know what I am eating when I order: the ingredients are all natural and the sauces list ingredients. This is a must have for any Keto dieter! And this is why in addition to the great taste I really love Poke!

    Spicy tuna mush

Staff friendly, little on patronizing side. Spicy tuna was mushy and gross. Should be cubed.

Got the Build Your Own bowl and a taro bubble tea at my recent visit. I liked the variety of options for the bowls and how much you could pile on. It was delicious and filling! The quality of the ingredients were pretty good too. The bubble tea was just meh, probably not worth it. The taro flavoring tasted very chalky to me.

Stopped in around 11:30 a.m. and was second in line. Got the rainbow bowl and it was delicious. At first I didn't think it was going to be enough food, but it was filling without being heavy. For the bowls, you can get brown rice, white rice or spring mix for your base. OR they will even let you do half and half. I got half brown rice and half spring mix. Definitely the way to go. Great service. Decent price point.

I don't really review places ever so you KNOW this place is great. Absolutely fantastic experience overall. Food is incredible. Menu is super easy to follow and very informative! Staff are incredibly friendly and hard-working!! I had a wonderful time here and I just can't get over how good this bowl is as I type this review in between bites. Please stop by if you have a chance!!! You can't miss this gem. The ONLY concern i'd voice is price, but honestly, I found it quite worth it.

Salty sauce and overly hearty (or undercooked?) rice spoiled what could've been a really good experience here. I remember a great poke roll (yes, you could turn any bowl into a burrito-style poke roll!) from NoVa, so my expectations were high. If you're familiar with any 'build your own' type of meals, you'll get the hang of it in no time. Moving from one end of the line to the other, you pick the base (brown rice or white sushi rice/greens), then your choice of two protein, then pick from more than a dozen different toppings. They'll ask you to pick a sauce at some point, too. This is a fast casual restaurant and the decor is minimal and there's lots of seating unlike the other location on 14th, and service was fine. What was not fine was the saltiness of shoyu sauce and how tough the rice was. I eventually asked for some rice to offset the saltiness, and while the staff was very helpful, I discovered that both brown and white rice had the same issue. I'd go back, but watch for the sauce.
