Amber and Robbie embrace you and get ya signed in and warmly seated with a sweet smile. There is never a wait so very shortly you get called back weighed, vitals taken , etc, all done quickly and with utmost respect. Again NO WAIT....then,IN A FLASH There is a knock at the door and in walks your provider!!!! Every Single Time!!! Bonus is that urgent care is right there, they have their own lab too!!! They take most insurances including Medicare and Medicaid. I cannot emphasize enough how great the front desk staff is. Also no one gets referrals done as fast as these guys do. They're fast professional and on the ball. They make you feel like they understand. I have been there in extreme pain and simply their eye contact and tone of voice has calmed me down. I am so grateful they are here. Again there is never a wait... Please acknowledge Robbie and Amber of the front desk with a HUGE RAISE and a PROMOTION along with that please give them an all expense paid vacation with their families to the destination of their choice. He was moved into a room in the ER where he needed to assisted to the bathroom. The nurses did a great job. Later he was moved to the piccu unit where he received the best care by Mikayla,Mckenzie,Casey and Katelyn plus a few others that I missed their names. Kuddos also to Dr. Joshua Watson. He was very attentive to my husband's needs answered all of our questions and did everything to make sure he was comfortable. The nurses on the 9th floor were kind as well. I injured my knees several years ago and was diagnosed with bi-lateral chondromalacia of the patella resulting in painful giving way, sharp stabbing pain, extreme pain when extending the knees, and constant throbbing. After visiting my PCP, the week prior I was offered to receive steroid injections from my primary care provider in her office without any additional x-rays or MRIs, but I declined due to the correlation between steroids and opacification of the optic lenses. However, she provided a referral to a Dustin Hoffman who works at Emergeortho of Wilmington. In doing so, the scheduler called and I advised her that my PCP has the MRI summary for both knees and they should ask for said summaries to be forwarded in order to provide a clear picture of my condition, but due to the incredulity of the situation the office didn't request the MRI summary from my PCP resulting with Dustin Hoffman insisting on billing my insurance company for an X-ray even though by his own omission agreed that more times than not the x-ray image will show normal. I find this sort of mentality to be border line spurious and mendacious in nature. In addition, during my brief interaction with Dustin Hoffman he did not ask one question concerning my knees. Didn't ask about the trauma, the fact they give out, the sharp pain, or the constant throbbing or why my PCP referred me to him. The only concern he had was to be able to bill my insurance for an x-ray that he and I both knew would indicate normal imaging and at no time did he suggest a new updated MRI, which I would have capitulated to. Healthcare at its best in the United States now awaydays!! Two thumbs down!!

They were prompt, informative, and professional while giving off a friendly vibe. The office is clean and staffed with healthcare professionals. There are fee's if you pay out of pocket without insurance. In California most services at PP are free if you meet the requirements- but that's ok. I don't mind supporting the cause. After telling me some info the put me back in the lobby and I had to wait a couple more hours. Why schedule appointments for people if you are only going to care for them when you feel appropriate. It wasn't just me either, there were multiple other people that had been there for hours like me. It is unacceptable and I shouldn't have had to waste almost an entire day waiting.

I came in with worsening symptoms that I knew were not normal. Despite clearly communicating how my condition was progressing, I felt as though I was being medically gaslit. Because my lab values, MRIs, and echocardiograms appeared "normal," my very real and escalating symptoms were repeatedly minimized and ultimately labeled as psychosomatic. What made this even more troubling was the apparent bias I experienced due to my mental health history. I was open about having bipolar disorder, yet instead of being treated with thoughtful, comprehensive care, it felt like my concerns were filtered through that diagnosis--used as a reason to discredit rather than to better support me. When I expressed serious concerns about continuing my pregnancy--considering both my physical health and mental well-being, as well as the safety of my child--I was not met with compassion or proactive care. Instead, I was essentially told that I would need to "stick it out" for several more weeks, or wait until my condition, specifically preeclampsia, became severe enough to warrant intervention. Being told, in so many words, that I would only be taken seriously once my health took a dangerous turn is unacceptable. No patient should feel like they have to get sicker to be believed. Healthcare is supposed to be built on trust, listening, and early intervention--not dismissal and delay. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call to examine how patients--especially those with mental health histories--are treated when they advocate for themselves. I deserved to be heard. I deserved better care.

I have complete faith in his expertise and the Wilmington Health staff. The office staff and nurses have always been polite and professional. I have blood labs drawn twice a year, and Dr. Stemmler meticulously and expertly goes over my results. My wait time to see him is short, and my visits with him are nothing short of charming. I look forward to my semi-annual visits. I have also made several Zoom calls to my doctor scheduled through the virtual portal. Recently I got Covid and the visit and his care through Zoom couldn't have been simpler or more effective. I love this practice.

I do have a coinsurance, but it is nowhere near what they demanded before allowing me to see a doctor at each visit. They apparently don't like patients that are in the PPO insurance network. They don't treat patients that have a choice to go else where very nicely. The snooty employees at Wilmington Health are crippling their employer by their less than professional attitudes and comments,. Even though, I really liked my doctor, I will not go back. I do not like having to pay more than my insurance contract allows them to bill me. Since Wilmington Health is a PPO with my insurance, that is all they are going to get.
