Cute little spot serving yummy Vietnamese food in Wilmette! I ordered Pho Dac Biet and it was exactly what I needed. Warm, hearty broth with a generous amount of meat and noodles. The tofu appetizer was flavorful and fried just right. The thai iced tea was made perfectly. Staff was very nice and attentive and the food came out fast! I had to order the Thai basil shrimp fried rice to take home. I definitely appreciated the spice and flavor the dish packed. I will definitely come back here with the rest of my family! read more

We tried a lot of dishes at Ni's Kitchen, but everything we ordered lacked flavor. It was pretty disappointing overall after reading the the good reviews on here. I wish people would just be honest. The broth was very light, no aromatics anywhere, and they majorly skimped on the toppings on everything we got. There is much better elsewhere. read more

The Pho here is amazing! This is an authentic Vietnamese Pho restaurant, with wonderful female owners, that I believe immigrated here from Vietnam. Ni's is an absolute gem in the North Shore - NOTHING is more satisfying than a bowl of their Pho. Their Summer rolls are absolutely amazing - wrapped in a way that travels better than any other place I've had before when carrying out. We order from Ni's at least once a week - the best Sunday night comfort meal! The staff is so kind, the food is absolutely incredible, and it's the single restaurant around here that we talk about most to all our friends. The young man who waited on us and the woman working there were both sweet and attentive. It is in a great location for anyone who takes the train. Love this new addition to Wilmette, especially with the cold weather. We have ordered for pick-up multiple times as well as eaten in. Every time it has been great. The service is wonderful and fast! We were there for the first "opening" day. Food was excellent, Pho was the best we've had in a long time- the broth was flavorful and the beef was tender and incredibly tasty. They're a small restaurant, so be prepared for opening day pains as they figure out their rhythm. Kick back, have some good conversation and there might be a bit of a wait. The front of the staff (one person) was working his butt off. He was pleasant, food was great, prices are low for the quality of the food. We'll be back for certain... soon! read more

We had a wonderful meal at Ni's Kitchen located in downtown Wilmette. Ni's has an airy, light feel with representational art of Vietnam on the walls. Convenient, free parking right out front. Service was very friendly and we spoke at length to Lisa, the charming proprietor. The beef steak and brisket Pho was tasty with the noodles and broth being seasoned well and the beef very tender. I stopped by for take out last nite and I must say I could not be more impressed with the food at Ni's Kitchen! I live a mile from Argile st. In Chi. and eat Vietnamese food frequently and never would have expected such excellent food on the north shore. The Pho Ga broth is the best I've had by a long shot, the chicken was perfectly flavored and texture was ideal (which most is not). All the fixings were fresh and as they should be. Really the ideal bowl of Pho with exquisite and nuanced flavors in the broth. My Ba Mi sandwich was perfection as well! read more

The food is great. The service is great. It is on the expensive side compared to the same fare in the city but quite excusable for a restaurant in Wilmette. Came here for a quick lunch with my wife -- food was absolutely delicious. We got the pork and shrimp summer rolls with peanut sauce, combination pho and lemongrass bahn mi, which were all very generous portions and so flavorful. The pho was enormous, with huge portions of meat (most places skimp on this) and a rich, flavorful broth. Service was attentive and efficient. First time at Ni's and we were tried Spring Rolls and Fried Rice. Huge and very fresh Spring Rolls with shrimp and lots of noodles (perhaps too many) but very tasty and filling. Fried Rice was among the best we've ever had. It was very moist which was surprising but made this dish such a winner. They have three levels of heat/spiciness (none medium and spicy). Choose spicy as we needed to add heat to medium. Large portions and all food delivered to other tables looked and smelled good. read more

I'm working in the area so I was hoping I found a hidden gem in Wilmette for Vietnamese food. I only had a mediocre experience. There was only one server, and she had to juggle a few different tables, which I didn't mind. I started with ordering the pork and shrimp summer rolls which were great. The noodles were soft, and the veggies tasted fresh. For my entree, I ordered the vermicelli bowl. I was hoping it would reflect the freshness of the summer roll, but unfortunately it did not. The meat was very flavorful and tasty, but the noodles were hard. The texture was so off-putting, and it detracted from the dish overall. The dressing also wasn't that tangy, which is how I prefer it. I also got a Thai iced tea, and something about it was off. Overall, just an okay experience, and I wouldn't return. read more

The place always looks dark from the outside especially during day time. Although the Open sign is lit, one wonders whether it really is open.
