    Shrimp Fried Rice
    Thomas G.

I ordered from Pho Phu Linh online via yelp with Grubhub delivery. At the time, it was listed #6 during my search for shrimp fried rice within a radius of me in Skokie. Searching through the menu I was drawn to Pho rather than shrimp fried rice, but due to there not being Pho with just shrimp I ended up sticking with shrimp fried rice. Oh, the thought of Pho with shrimp was what I really wanted the evening I ordered from Pho Phu Linh. There was the seafood noodle option with shrimp, but it also had scallop, squid, fish ball, and imitation crab inside which I had no interest in. This has nothing to do with my rating of Pho Phu Linh, but I was very displeased with the Grubhub delivery driver, who placed my order at the side of the house rather than at the front door. A text message would have also been nice, letting me know that my order was delivered because anything could have happened. I swear, it is like Grubhub drivers go out of their way to not have any contact whatsoever with ordering customers and I am so over it. Now as for my food, the shrimp fried rice was delicious as expected! I was very satisfied with the huge portion of rice and shrimp given. I am never disappointed with shrimp fried rice, and I certainly was not with my order of it from Pho Phu Linh. As the time goes on, I am very open to ordering from Pho Phu Linh again when visiting the Skokie area. However, next time I will pick my order up onsite or utilize a different online ordering platform if I choose delivery. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

Was craving pho and looked up restaurants near me and landed on this establishment. Cute vibes and pretty big restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. It's a fusion offering Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and Hawaiian. Normally I stay away from fusions, but this one did not disappoint. Ordered the Round Steak and Brisket Pho. The broth was a 10/10! I added the additional toppings into my pho plus chili oil and it was perfection, especially on a cold night. The noodles were good and the meat wasn't bad. Not the most tender and best cuts, but did the job. Delicious pho that I would get again if I were ever in this area! Service was also very nice!

Still a great place after so many months. Service is good, seating is nicely laid out where tables are not crowded. Food is still good- updated one picture, more to come as I will come back again. There is a small parking (14"3 car lot) outside that makes this place extra special as parking is always a premium.

This is your no frills Vietnamese and Japanese Restaurant. The staff are nice. There's plenty of parking and seating. The Vietnamese food is great, but I haven't had their Japanese dishes. Grilled Sausage Spring Roll: I haven't had a spring roll like this anywhere else around here. There is a savoury sausage, a crispy bit, fresh veggies dipped in a mango sauce. It is a nice sweet and savoury bite! Grilled Pork & Egg Roll Vermicelli Bowl: this bowl is so yummy. There is a generous portion of meat, a crispy egg roll, fresh veg, rice noodles, and a yummy fish sauce to round out the dish

Here's a place pho you. Or should I say here's the place pho pho? Pho sho! This is a bright open space with plenty of parking (a plus). It was sparsely filled when I dropped in for lunch. They thoroughly cleaned my table and I noted that hand sani is on the table, alongside the hoisin sauce, chili sauce and sriracha bottle. I ordered the shrimp spring roll which were two large rolls filled with about three shrimp, mint, lettuce, vermicelli noodles and accompanied by peanut dipping sauce. This was crisp and refreshing and I brightened with some chili sauce. I ordered the Pho Tai Chin Nam (round steak and brisket) which comes with a dish of bean sprouts, lime, basil and jalapeño to customize to your palate. The broth was fine, I added the lime and basil, and though the brisket was tender, I found the steak to be slightly tough. I found this to be a very large portion and they packed the leftovers to go. The menu has Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese items, so if you are not looking pho pho, there are plenty of other dishes to entice. Service was friendly and fast. Some light music would help the ambience as I was able to hear the shop talk of the (vet techs???) on the other side of the dining room. I will be sure to return pho more.

Went here when the restaurant open at 11. The restaurant is pretty big. We order different kind of foods like Vietnamese spring rolls and shrimp rolls and house special pho noodle. It came pretty fast. The staff and service was pretty good. The foods are big and very tasty. Will come back here when I am in Chicago

PHO PHU YOU KILLED IT! All the hype by fellow Yelp! friends who did NOT lead me astray on this one. I couldn't wait to try and this one takes the top spot for sure. From the service, to the appetizers down to their smoothies-everything was fantastic. The menu is so extensive. I usually get weary when places offer a variety of variations of Asian cultures blended all together but from their Vietnamese to their sushi, everything was bangin! We ordered their deep fried Godzilla roll which took a long time BUT when it came out-it was hot and fresh right off the presses. Crunchy and tasty! The meat in their pho hardly had any fat and was super lean and edible-delectable ! Their broth was very subtle in flavor but appreciated it where it wasn't overpowering at all. Delicious. Superb. Magnifique.

I've heard about this spot from my parents, who have tried this spot before. Pho Phu Linh is conveniently located on the way to visit my parents, so my husband and I stopped here for a quick bite before stopping by. What we ordered: Pho Dac Biet (pho special, one size) Veggie Spring Rolls (tofu, 1 order has 2 rolls) Grilled Beef Banh Mi (comes with plain crinkle chips on the side) Banana Mango Smoothie with Boba We came on a Sunday night and there were a few parties seated across the restaurant. There were also quite a few call-in orders, so I think this spot just be popular for take-out and folks can pick up their food. There is a small parking lot right next to the restaurant with plenty of spots available. There is also outdoor seating, although all the diners that day chose to sit indoors. It's nice to know they have that option, in case it is really nice outside or you want to bring a dog on the patio. There was only one server that night, another staff member who floated between the bar (making boba drinks) and serving food when it was ready. Service was still pretty prompt with one main server - we had no complaints! The veggie rolls were freshly wrapped, and I liked how there was a hint of mint among the lettuce. The dipping sauce had a great consistency and balance (mostly hoisin) with a dash of crushed roasted peanuts. It was delicious and a great appetizer. The broth for the pho was clear and tasty, and the portion size was not bad at all! There is only one size for pho, and they had generous amounts of noodles and steak/meatballs/tripe/tendon/brisket. It came with their standard tray of basil, bean sprouts, and jalapeños on the side. I wished the broth had more sliced onion and green onion - I love these additions in my bowl but understand this amounts vary from restaurant to restaurant. Next time, I will ask for extra onions and green onion. I noticed that they had REAL sriracha bottles on the table, along with the typical hoisin. They don't have fish sauce on the tables, but I didn't mind. I assume the patrons might not use it that much so they don't have it out. If you want it, I'd ask the server if they can bring some out from the kitchen. Their menu is pan-Asian, with sushi options, Thai options, and Chinese options. Usually I am weary when a spot offers that many types of cuisines but based on the quality and freshness of our food, I actually wouldn't hesitate to try their other non-Vietnamese items. Looking around the restaurant, most people ordered a bowl of noodles but some also ordered a sushi roll. If you're in the mood, why not?! You can get all your favorite Asian dishes in one place. I'll be back to try their other options. It's awesome to have a Vietnamese restaurant in Skokie. Growing up, my parents would drive our family to Uptown/Argyle to get our fix and now, it's right in their backyard. While they have already pledged their allegiance to other pho spots in the city, Pho Phu Linh is a great option to have so close by. A solid 4 stars! For more, follow me on IG @gratuitousgourmande

Really nice restaurant with attentive staff. I ordered the chicken pho which was really good. The broth was phenominal, noodles were cooked just right, and there were plenty of bean sprouts, mint, and jalapeño to go with it. I also ordered some spring rolls and they were hefty. Two rolls come with one order. The mint on the spring rolls was not too overpowering and the amount of shrimp was good. Between the pho and spring rolls, I was full. The overall vibe of the restaurant was modern and clean.

I am so upset it took me so long to discover this hidden gem here in Skokie. They have so many options. The staff is great. The food is even better. I am so sad it took me so long to try this amazing and underrated place. I will definitely be returning!!

It was like the noodles had been scooped out, sauceless, into the bowl then some sort of cheese sauce was ladled on top, and then the toppings. It was like warm at best, which I try not to hold against deliveries, but this could not have been hot when it was picked up. It was not creamy, it was clunky and so unenjoyable.
