This is just a cheap Chinese buffet. I am not having delicate palates, so I am just saying okay for the quality of their food. However, their customer service is worst of worst. Beware of this trip hazard! My mother fell down while walking around due to this hazard, but they just ask whether she is okay. They just don't care safety of the customers. They should have been fix this before sometime! It seems like they are accepting lots of customers from group tours. They may include many (Asian) foreign senior citizens, but they do not consider the their safety. It is such a great shame. Well, after complaining this issue, they claimed that my mom was running without care. There is no logical reason because there were so many people filling in the restaurant. Always a great time, it is getting a bit expensive ditch the crab ( You actually can get crab at this buffer though!). Our bill was almost $50 for two adults on a Saturday, at $50 for a dinner we may consider different options in the future. read more

The food was TERRIBLE so dry and bland very very bad never coming here again. The environment is very uncomfortable there's always workers looking at you when you're eating and it's just really awkward. Our waitress disappeared to clean the bathroom for 20 minutes and another lady came out to refill our drinks then the other waitress came back from the bathroom. Poor food. Poor service. The bacon wrapped chicken is always really good, and the crab rangoon is a favorite. The butter shrimp, if on the menu is a must have!The waitress comes by very frequently to clear plates and replenish drinks. My Boyfriend took me there Saturday because I use to like the China Wok that was in Philipsburg PA. I really did not want pizza or chicken elbows again. The All you could eat buffet for two came to $23.50 and we ordered green tea. I believe this use to be the Crown Chinese Buffet. This was a go back experience I found it plentiful and tasty. You could find something to eat even if you are a picky eater, large variety from soups and salads seafood, meats and starches breads, lots of desserts and everything in-between. First off there very nice and clean. A wide varity of food but we came in at a busy hour for dinner, there was alot of things missing. The server was nice but getting on my nerves, trying to talk and eat soon as you put your fork down she runs over you done? Then reaches over our plates and I know she was eagar and wanted to do a good job and keep us happy. So I polietly told her please do not reach over the table when we are done we will put our plates at the end of the table. Then she would constantly run to us after we drank some pop "do you want refill", again I appreciate her eagerness but it was really too much and I again polietly had to tell her we will let her know. One thing I do not like is the ice cream.. Why cant they get a machine? I do not like the fact that you have to scoop the ice cream out your self not because I'm lazy but what if something fell in there from someones shirt? I am not the biggest fan of Buffet dining, but when you need a quick Asian cuisine "Fix". This is the spot. The food is fresh and flavorful. They also offer quite a few "American" items ( mozzarella sticks, fries, roast beef etc). The service is typical buffet quality. Nice salad section. $10 for all you can eat. read more

I went to the Niagara Falls Buffet on Saturday for the lunch which was $8.99 plus your beverage and tax. We were really impressed. The place is worn but very clean. They have a very good selection of all the traditional Chinese buffet items including seafood, sushi, deserts and 12 different flavors of ice cream. We arrived at 1:30 and there were quite a few cars in the parking lot but we were seated right away. The food was ALL fresh and flavorful and the staff kept topping it up. We will be back. read more

Coming from the Bay Area in California, there's like a million Chinese buffets, but when you really want Chinese food in another state, you kinda have to settle with what you get. New Star is clean and very quiet, but that might also be because my family and I went during lunch time on a Tuesday. It's cheap, about $8 or so for lunch, which isn't bad if you're just looking for mediocre Chinese food. It's definitely not the best I've ever had, but it's probably the best in this area, judging that there aren't a lot. we were here many years ago when it was the crown buffet and it was not that good and never returned! Well, we three really enjoyed the new star buffet yesterday!!! They have a very good selection of offerings and many were very good, especially the ribs and fresh steamed clams! Our waitress was quiet, smiled and very attentive, we tipped her $9 because i am sure many of the regulars that go here don't. I want to remind you all that this buffet was only $44 for three and that is very reasonable for the quality and selection available!! if you want better, go to the Mandarin Restaurant and pay around $24 each person, with a soft drink; which we do go there about four times a year and love love it!!!!!!! Was there during lunch but they started to put out some of the dinner selection so the food that was out at lunch hadnt been touched or changed for awhile. I had one plate because half my selection was cold or rubbery. Then saw top cover of soup fall on the floor and was placed back on the soups without cleaning. So i figured id just pay my bill and never return, but when i went to pay my bill which said 10.99 a person because it was lunch hours the very rude guy behind the counter said that was a mistake and charged me for dinner even tho i was there for lunch and barely touched any food. Very disappointed in the Chinese Buffet, food was dry, hard and crunchy, the salad bar was quite disgusting, the pans were empty, there was no fresh food out, everything looked like it was day old, especially the french fries, were cold and stale. the desserts had a crust formed on top of them, the jello was melting, the ice cream bins were empty and what was in them was melted. the pop had no carbonation, was just syrup and water. A bill for 2 adults and the kids ages 2,8 and 9 was $52.00. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
