We ordered simple dishes chicken fried rice, chicken Lo Mein and Hung Poa all were delicious my daughter got some sauces on the side shirraca and something else I was fine with little soy on my rice . I'm so sorry I haven't tried this restaurant sooner! The ambience was a knockout: River stones over a huge fireplace; an open kitchen with seats at the sushi bar; quick and friendly service. I ordered the lobster, and although the dining room was busy on a Sunday night, before I knew it my meal was in front of me! It was so good: Just what I had been wanting! This food was amazing. The whole experience was top notch. Large portions, quick service and the food was tasty...minus the unseasoned soup that made its way to the table. Other than that everything was great. We ordered the Mongolian beef, the weird looking crab Rangoons and some sushi. The ladies serving provided great customer service and answered all the questions asked. The drinks are great. Wow. After reading 1 star and 4 star reviews I wasn't sure what to expect but was very happy with my meal. We had a reservation and had to wait a bit for a table still. Plus the person behind me got seated before us without explanation so we were a little weary. But once we sat down it was great. The waitress was attentive and friendly. Just want to say what a great experience! We did not have dinner reservations, but Assistant Manager, Chris was able to work us in with a minimal 10 minute wait. I ate at Koi on a Monday night which is a restaurant inside the Seneca Niagara Casino. I ordered sashimi to start & although this smoked salmon tasted good it was not traditional Japanese sashimi but rather thin sliced salmon like lox that you'd eat on a bagel. But whatever. The Buddhist Delight vegetables were actually very fresh, hot & delicious. My server was busy but attentive. I'm not sure why my split of sparkling but cost $4 more than it did in the other casino bar though. Most restaurants at the casino seem to be short staffed so service & food quality suffers. This was the best of the sit down restaurants in my opinion (their Italian restaurant was closed when I was there). read more

This restaurant is located inside the Seneca Hotel, and it is almost always sold out. We had a reservation before coming to town and thank God for that because we would've missed their delicious food. For starters, the portions are humongous! Staff was very friendly and attentive to our table and honest when questions were asked about certain entrees. Can't remember what drinks we ordered but umm yeah they were good. Light on the juice heavy on the alcohol . A friend who ordered the fish complimented how good it was. Perfectly cooked and seasoned (he had to request no spice). The spare ribs w/white rice was really good, tender and not much fat on the ribs. The chicken pad Thai was okay. I felt like it needed more flavor and was dry. What a let down! We were excited to spend our Valentine's Day at Koi but we were disappointed with our first step into the restaurant. The photos are misleading...we were expecting a nice, upscale restaurant, but it was quite casual. The food was below average and way overpriced. Is it bad when your favorite part of the meal was the fried cheesecake, which tasted more like a fried brick of cream cheese? If it wasn't for the convenience in relation to our hotel, I'd probably give the restaurant one star. We are thrilled to never have to go here ever again! read more

The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was wonderful. The prices were very high for the non vegetarian dishes and for the vegetarian dishes expect to pay about $12 to about $18 a dish. We ordered a dish of vegetarian fried rice and 2 orders of spring rolls for a table of four which totaled about $32. For the spring rolls they give you two on a dish which are split into for pieces. I found the food to be overly oily and the spring rolls under seasoned. The fried rice was just okay but there was no seasoning for the vegetables in the fried rice. The crab Rangoon was fine, but the duck for both dishes had bones in every bite, and not like buffalo wing style whole bones, the meat mush have been chopped up because the bones were splintered and had to be picked out of the meat. Not sure why you prepare poultry like that, the manager came over to ask what was wrong and was not very accommodating, in fact was a little rude actually. We paid for the crab Rangoon and left and the manager gave us a dirty look as we left. This place looks nice but the food was definitely subpar. Would not give a second chance. read more

(A very generous 4 stars - read on) I joined a friend here for Asian food and they were very gracious in seating us early, as we arrived thirty minutes sooner than our reservation. Having lived in various points in the Pacific Rim, I must say they have a very creative take on fusion and many delights. The ambience was wonderful - curved tall sweeping walls of river rock punctuated with some very nice minimal design touches. While I generally really dislike banquettes, theirs was so vast and afforded so much room between tables that it was very comfortable - and beautiful. We started with shrimp wonton soup. The broth was the nectar of the gods - as good as any homemade broth and the wontons were fresh made and thin, enveloping an almost too large whole shrimp....delicious despite the baby bok choy being inedible. Also as a starter, we had the spring rolls whose outer layers were microscopically thin and just perfectly crisp. We chose four entrees and dined family style. The Vietnamese Shaking Beef dish was an epiphany. Im not a huge fan of filet mignon but they diced it smaller as one would for a beef stew and somehow managed to sear all six sides of each cube! This was accompanied by a masterful almost impossibly small brunoise of vegetable and other flavors that just sang. I would go there for that alone (OK and maybe the soup) We also had the Scallops and Mushrooms. The sauce ingredients listed included fish sauce and sounded wonderful but the hand in that department was tragically heavy, taking away all the sweetness (and lack of fishiness) that I love best about scallops. Our meal was rounded out by a respectable Buddha Delight vegetable medley and chicken fried rice. (and almost not worth mentioning but curious, the fortune cookies were stale and extra stupid) So why the grudging 4 stars?? After the main courses arrived, I found 2 of them to be just a tad underseasoned for my taste and neither of us could get our waitress or anyone else's attention for so long that the food was cooling off quite a bit. FINALLY I saw a gentleman (Maitre d'?) and flailed my arms because I wasn't going to let one more staff enter and never even bother to scan the room. He asked almost incredulously if I meant him and I said ANYBODY - I really need some soy sauce and a salt shaker. He acknowledged and a few minutes later don't I see him tell a different staff member I need this.....and then i wait and a few more minutes after that, they go and tell my actual server I need these!! So this clown made me go through three rungs of the chain of command for something that would have taken him thirty seconds! This is very piss-offing in a place that cost $240 or so for two. Fine. Went with a friend of mine for dinner and had an OK meal. The cockail menu was weird to me--- this is an Asian restaurant (supposedly) but cosmos, margs, old fashions were the only cocktails on the menu. We had cosmos and margs that were just OK. No salt on the marg (which for me is a huge issue) and the cosmo was in a wine glass... Getting past the drinks we had the seaweed salad and the koi salad. I am a huge fan of ginger dressing and the koi salad did not disappoint in that area. Other than the dressing though, it's just spring mix with shredded carrots. Entrees were the duck rice bowl and the standard beef and broccoli. Both were just OK as well, nothing to write home about. You get the choice of white or brown rice with each dish. The service was also sub-par; I was looking for soy sauce but couldn't get my waitresses attention until almost 2/3 through my entree so by that point there was no need. We had 3 drinks, 2 salads, and 2 entrees for under $85 dollars so I can't complain that much, but I will be sticking to my all time fav the Western Door when I am at the casino from now on. read more

The best thing I can say about Koi is that it's convenient when you're staying or playing at the Seneca Niagara Casino and Resort but that's about it for the good stuff. The food is tragically mediocre, overpriced and served by slow, unfriendly staff. We were seated in the back room of the restaurant and there is absolutely no ambiance there. I think this may generally be reserved for large groups but with 6 ft distancing still in place it was open for general diners. The chairs were comfortable though. The lo mein was oily and flavorless. The shrimp wontons were bland, served on a bed of plain shredded iceberg lettuce, with what tasted like bottled Asian sweet chili sauce. The General Tso's chicken had no zip (there were no red chilies or broccoli in the preparation). The saving grace of the meal were the green beans. They were awesome! Koi is one of my favorite local Asian restaurants. The atmosphere is inviting, open and family friendly even though it's in a casino. The food is consistently good and over the years I've gotten to know many of the servers so that they recognize me when I come in. My favorite server is Suraphee who prefers to be called "Sue". Sue is from Thailand and love to chat about her homeland and the food she serves. I highly recommend the California Roll Sushi made special with the roe that is sprinkled on top. The sushi is served with a ultra-creamy wasabi that is so delicious. My favorite main dish is Pad Tai. The dish is big enough to share and is full of shrimp, scallops and chicken. We are currently on a family vacation visiting Niagara Falls for the first time. We live in New York City and are what you would call "foodies". Upon arrival we showed up an hour early, hoping to get in earlier but wasn't a huge deal if not. As we walk up to the host stand we were greeted by two very old gentlemen. When I say "greeted", I mean stared at. They saw we had a 2 year old and totally refused to help us. Not one word came out of their mouths. As me and my wife start asking questions we just get a head knod. No actual response in words, as in not even a "no we can not accommodate you." We have never been treated this terribly. After getting extremely frustrated with the gentlemen in their $60 Kohl's suits, we decided to cancel our reservation and go somewhere else. read more

On a Tuesday night, upon arriving at 6:45, we were told there would be a table available at 8. I understand there are staffing issues due to Covid, but there were multiple empty tables which the host claimed were for reservations. The host took our info, and at 7:02, I received a text message saying "your reservation is coming soon!" So I went back to the host stand to ask if our reservation had changed. The host rudely told me that "that's just how the system works," (regarding the text message), to which I replied that 58 minutes hardly counts as soon and is quite confusing. The service is great and the workers are very knowledgeable on what the products they serve have. He regular hourly food is good as well but I am partial to the noodle bar as I LIVE for a good Pho. I've dined here a few times...all dates, all with the same woman; my now fiancé (as of last weekend!); woo hoo! She was a big fan of this place and suggested we come here quite often back when lived in the Falls. I was a bit skeptical about going to the casino to dine in, but it turned out that the food is pretty nice and we both enjoy the atmosphere. It's very spacious; can be romantic or casual or in our case: a mix of both. Their menu features everything: for those that just won a jackpot and want to splurge on a dinner to those looking to have a date on a budget (Pad Thai, please!). It features sushi, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai; an Asian fusion mix. Every time I've remembered coming here, I've ordered the Pad Thai with a pot of tea. The leaves are brewed in the pot, which is a nice touch from having a tea bag and the Pad Thai has always been a little above average. We celebrated my husband's birthday here tonight. I tried their Soho Ice, which is vodka, ice wine and lychee, but I think the the ice wine had a pronounced orange flavor that overwhelmed the lychee so my husband finished my drink, and I had his plum wine, which was excellent. They start you off with crispy wantons and what I think was some sort of plum sauce, which was a nice touch. My husband enjoyed his General Tso's chicken. I loved my Philadelphia rolls and sushi. The presentation was lovely, and included an edible orchid. So many rolls, and the pieces of sushi were large. I didn't quite finish. I've also tried their crab Rangoon in the past, and it's excellent. Lots of cream cheese and crab meat. The restaurant is decorated in warm hues of red and gold. Service was great. Since we stopped by a bit later , we sat at the Noodle bar area , this is just the seating by where they prep the food. Since it was late couldn't order any alcohol as the bar seemed to have been closed ? Kinda sucked since it wasn't even 930? Oh well. I tried the Shrimp tempura roll , good roll big in size. Explained to the waitress and she replaced with chicken and broccoli again the broccoli was delicious the chicken was worse then the beef. Server was excellent. The ambiance was great. There was no ambiance. Nothing on the tables but tablecloths. The food was ok but not worth the cost. The portions were very small. When we finished dinner we both agreed we were ready for dinner. As if we hadn't eaten. We were not offered dessert. They brought us fortune cookies and then took them away before we ate them. The bill had nowhere to add a tip. The servers were busy and lacked any kind of customer service. The host at the front seating people was not the slightest bit friendly. We are sure not to go there again.
