The Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa is one of the most impressive hotel experiences on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, particularly if your top priority is the view and access to activities. But be forewarned: there are two Marriott-branded hotels located almost next door to each other another -- the other is directly across the street. I saw one couple confused about their booking. They were at the wrong hotel. It appears the the hotel most people are seeking when they book the "best view" is usually the Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa at 6740 Fallsview Boulevard. The nearby Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls at 6755 Fallsview Boulevard is a separate property. I was very pleased with the Fallsview Hotel. Unlike many hotels that advertise a falls view but have only a partial glimpse, the hotel's location provides a sweeping panorama of the falls. Most rooms seem to have a falls view. Higher-floor rooms offer an almost cinematic perspective, especially during the nightly illumination show and when fireworks are scheduled (nightly at 10 p.m. after May -- those poor gulls and their babies!). The facilities are extensive. The hotel features the recently renovated Burning Springs Spa and Thermal Pools, a fitness center, indoor pool that is sadly less that 5 feet at the deepest point, direct access to the Fallsview tourist district and convenient connections to nearby attractions. But spa access is not included in the stay-- such a disappointment. Generally, the property feels more like a destination than a standard convention hotel, with many public spaces oriented toward the falls. That includes and onsite Starbucks and Mortons steakhouse, plus a gift shop with a massive assortment of items: clothing, hats, bathing suits and goggles (even for the kids), maple syrup treats, medicine and beverages, etc. The biggest surprise for many guests is parking. Valet parking is convenient but expensive, currently around $80 per day, while self-parking is approximately $50-60 per day and located off-site rather than directly beneath the hotel. Valet service may be worthwhile because the self-parking lot requires about a 5-minute walk and the hotel arrival area can become crowded during peak times Overall, the staff was great -- they even sent up a red velvet cake for our anniversary! And the king suite (23rd floor) was sizable and comfortable, with a jet spa in the room looking directly toward the falls. The bed and pillows were also comfy. They also have two seats right in front of the windows with spectacular views. But there were so many bugs -- dozens and dozens gathered on the exterior glass -- after dark, we opted to keep the lights off. Not a concern, though. I would definitely stay here again. read more

I was really disappointed with this stay. The view of the falls was incredible, and honestly that was the only thing that lived up to the price. For what this hotel charges, even if you're using points, I expected a much nicer and better maintained property. Instead, the entire hotel felt run down. The lobby had obvious water damage on the ceiling with peeling paint, which was not a great first impression. There were plenty of elevators, but it seemed like half of them were out of service during my stay. The room was no better. The shower curtain looked dirty, the towels did not feel clean, there were chips and scratches all over the furniture, peeling paint around the windows, and cracked bathroom tiles. Everywhere I looked there were signs that basic maintenance had been ignored. Even Morton's Grille was disappointing. For a restaurant that is supposed to be more upscale, it was dim, the chairs were peeling, and it just felt worn out. What made it even more frustrating was seeing the hotels around it. I went into the Hyatt next door and it was beautiful. Even the Marriott across the street, which does not have the same falls view, looked much newer and much better maintained. It made me wonder why this property has been allowed to get into this condition. The view is absolutely amazing, but the hotel itself does not match the price at all. I left feeling like I paid for the view and nothing else. I would not stay here again unless the property gets a major renovation. read more

Upon arrival and departure there was one person. The carpet area in lobby and rooms need shampooing badly. Rooms have beautiful views on upper levels , but outdated. The front desk service was mixed; one staff member was excellent, but another rushed me, which is not acceptable when guests are paying their money. The spa charges an additional fee to use Oasis pools/ Jacuzzi; which is unusual for most spas, since they typically include it with the massage services. This additional fee still feels like a drawback. FYI -There are not actually pools in the spa area just jacuzzi and cold plunge, sauna etc. While the pool staff was great, with Kevin standing out, and Beth at the spa being exceptional the pool area is outdated. The ceiling is peeling and looks like a YMCA pool area. In addition , my massage at spa was okay. But no timer was used to ensure guest are receiving their full time paid for. I stayed here on a last-minute trip to Niagara Falls. I'll start by saying I'm typically a Marriott loyalist with high standards, and this property looked impressive online. For the most part, it delivered. The lobby was beautiful and welcoming, and check-in was seamless. My top floor request was honored, which I appreciated. The room itself was clean and offered an incredible view of the Falls. Room service food was excellent! Definitely on the pricey side, but completely worth it to see the smile on my daughter's face. The jet bathtub was also a huge highlight for her and added to the experience. I'm a very detail oriented (borderline OCD) traveler when it comes to cleanliness, and I travel with a blue light. That said, I can confidently say most surfaces were clean and well maintained. However, the bed linens were my biggest disappointment. The sheets appeared worn with thinning areas that under blue light could easily be mistaken for stains. I requested new sheets two or three times, but each replacement set had the same issue, so I eventually gave up. Another issue was the in room fireplace....it doesn't actually function. The thermostat also didn't work properly. I did contact the hotel staff during my stay. I was told the fireplace was "for show" and no one was sent to address the thermostat. After checkout, the hotel offered a partial refund of about $90. While I appreciated the gesture, given the overall cost of the stay, it didn't feel sufficient and I ultimately chose not to pursue it further. Overall, while I'm not certain I would stay here again, it is still one of the better options among Niagara Falls hotels. Staying at the Marriott Hotel & Spa on Fallsview Avenue was an unforgettable experience! The moment I walked into my room, I was blown away by the most incredible view of Niagara Falls right outside my window. It's not just a "room with a view"--it's the view that you see all over social media, but even more breathtaking in person. From sunrise mist to the illuminated falls at night, I had front-row seats to one of the world's greatest natural wonders without even leaving my room. Late summertime is the best time to visit. Overall pleased with this hotel that many say offers the best view of the falls. Pros: We had a great view of both the Canadian and American falls, but I think only becaue of my Marriott Elite status. I did not want to pay the extra money for a guaranteed higher floor. I see at least one review down below that shows that their view of the falls was blocked by trees. Rooms start at floor 6 and we had made the comment to ourselves that those rooms probably are not high enough to have an unobstructed view. If a good view of the falls is a priority (and I'm assuming it would be if you're paying these kinds of prices for this hotel), spend the extra few dollars to get a guaranteed high floor. Got some great sunrise pictures of the falls and also a great view of the nightly fireworks show. Location is excellent. Walk out the hotel, hang two rights, and you're pretty much at the Incline that will take you down to Table Rock and the falls. There were enough restaurants around the hotel that you could find something to eat if you didn't want to eat at Morton's or the other restaurant in the hotel. There seem to be several reviews that comment about how it is "far away from everything". If "everything" is all the tourist trappy Clifton Hill stuff, then yes, it is. But I would consider this area the "resort" area with nicer hotels with a view and in close proximity to the main attraction - the FALLS. If you want to be closer to the somewhat seedy area, then yes, go for Clifton Hill. The parking staff in the driveway are very friendly and helpful. Not many bellhops that I saw, but we tend not to use them anyway. Front desk is busy but staff are friendly. Again my Marriott status allowed me to go to the shorter line on the right, so that helped. But the regular line had about 6 families and I'm sure that took a while. Guess we all checked in at a busy time. The front desk had to deal with some entitled people that felt like they didn't need to stand in line like others but they handled it professionally. Room is expected for a Marriott. All I care about is that it is clean which it was. Minor comment, the shampoo/conditioner/body wash is locked onto the wall, as it is with most of these chain hotels. My younger child could not reach because they were so high. Luckily had our own small bottles of shampoo and used bar soap. Cons: Parking is EXPENSIVE. $50 for offsite parking that you have to walk about 5 minutes to get to. $70 for valet where they will park your car in the same lot. And $89 for "executive on deck" parking, which I assume means you get to leave your car at the four or five spots right in the hotel driveway. I'm glad I didn't spring for valet as we never used our car once during the whole stay (the WeGo buses are so convenient). As far as the parking lot, they seriously need to upgrade. it's basically a large parking lot with a single Marriott sign and an unattended parking booth at the front. No gates, no key card entry, no security. When I checked in, they asked what color and model car I had. But did not ask for the license plate. The front desk actually forgot to give me a parking ticket/stub. So after getting to the parking lot and realizing I didn't have that, I had to go back to the front desk and was just given a parking stub, no questions asked, not even my room number. No recording of the parking receipt number to associate it with my room. How do they even know if I paid for it? I saw several cars in the lot that did not have this parking stub in the front windshield. Given that there is no gate or keycard entry, I'm wondering if people can just park there for free. Or if I ever decide to go back, I could use this same parking stub I have. But my bigger concern was that there was no security in this remote lot that is away from the hotel. This is Marriott. Surely they could invest in gates and a keycard system tied to your room like any other major hotel chain does? As we were departing and driving out, I saw some other cheaper parking lots that were gated. Yes, it might be a little bit of a walk, but likely not much further than their remote lot, and if you're not going to use your car and you don't want to pay $50 a day, that might be an option. read more

We are traveling now and have stayed at other Marriotts. Thou we would receive same fantastic service at all locations. We will be reading reviews before booking again. Location is just on the outskirts of where everything is and its walking distance to a good amt of restaurants. Its about 8-10mins from Clifton Hill. Its also walking distance to a casino. We only stayed a few days. It has a great view of the falls. Our room was decent. We werent really expecting much since we were barely in there. They have breakfast on the mezzanine floor which was more than what some hotels would offer. Its just not free. The gym is a good size with ample amt of machines. Theres also alot of parking. Waking up to the amazing falls views every morning is stellar in itself. This hotel has everything you'll need as a home base for visiting Niagara and a fair bit of extra comfort. Literally the comfiest mattresses I've ever had in a hotel, better than my own at home. The pillows also held their own. I loved the room layout with plenty of outlets, a lounge chair and bench to just enjoy the view as much as you want. The double jacuzzi tub? Amazing, made the hot tub downstairs irrelevant. Worth it! Service was almost always perfect (there was a hiccup at the end with the return valet) calling service was quick and pleasant response, tables were waited promptly during meals, cleanings were efficient and complete. Not all rooms are falls views! They have "river views" so please be sure you know what you are getting. Parking is VERY expensive, I just accepted it as a convenience tax because finding parking is a major pain. It may also take a bit of time as the loading area gets jammed into the street. Be patient. Breakfast also pricy but if you want a lovely convenient sit down buffet, the convenience is there. They also have a starbucks and gift shop which are exactly as you would expect. The gym was functional and with a few nice perks like fresh fruit and earbuds available and seemed pretty clean the few times I checked. I think the water dispenser could use with a refresh. The spa was also worth the time and extra if you're looking to mix relaxing in between touring. Be sure to use your Wego passes free at check in! The room itself was modern and clean with comfortable beds, chairs, and a table right at the window (where we spent hours just watching the Falls). FIVE STARS!!! We spent two nights here as the last leg on a road trip and everything was perfect. After pulling up to the hotel, they verified we were in the right spot, as there is another Marriott with a similar name right around the corner. (However, we wanted this location because of the reviews for the views.) We decided to valet the car, since it's not that much more than self-parking and the lot is a five minute walk away. The valet recommended that we take a picture of our car ticket so we could call with our car code even if we lost our ticket. They also recommended that we call several minutes in advance of needing the car. (The lobby has an electronic board that shows which cars are being picked up and which have already been brought to the front.) Since it was our first time visiting, I decided to check in at the front desk rather than just using the app. I'm glad I did because they provided us with lots of recommendations and information. We got some discounted breakfast passes for the buffet, which worked out well during our visit. (The buffet also has daily specials, which is nice so you don't feel like you are eating the same thing every day.) They also let us know about the free WEGO bus passes, which we ended up using several times to drive us back to the hotel after walking down to the falls and around the area. As we had quite a few bags from the road trip, we opted to have a bellhop help us with a cart. Again, I'm glad we did, since Randy told us all about Niagara-on-the-Lake, an adorable town we visited the next day. We had booked the Superior Fallsview room with a King bed and Whirlpool. When I opened the door, I was blown away. The room was so lovely and the view of the falls was jaw-on-the-floor STUNNING. (It also provided a front-row seat to the 10:00 fireworks each night.) Since we were exhausted on our first night, we ordered room service. I was a little bit nervous since they didn't repeat the order back to us and said it would be ready in 30 minutes. However, they got the order right and it was delivered in the time promised. The shrimp pasta portion was a bit tiny but really tasty. The onion soup was deliciously cheesy. The rest of the room was spacious and gorgeous. The whirlpool tub easily fits two and was incredibly relaxing. Right above the pool was a little window that you could open to peek over to look out to the falls. There was a mini fridge with waters. The bed was cozy and we loved the provided lavender spray to use on the pillows for relaxation. The hotel is maintained well and even includes historical information with pictures to help visitors learn more about the history of the falls. There's also water available in the lobby as you go in and out for the day. The service we received during the trip was even better than what we had hoped for. Even the maintenance and housekeeping staff members were especially friendly and professional. We didn't want to leave on the final day and were able to get an extra hour for a noon checkout. Again, the view of the falls from our room was like something out of a travel magazine, so we wanted to treasure every last moment. We will absolutely return here for a trip in the future! read more

The view truly is unbeatable at the Marriott Fallsview. We researched heavily and read review after review, but it seemed like the consensus was that this hotel has the best view of the falls and I don't think they're wrong. Marriott Fallsview looks directly into horseshoe falls. We got a high level room and were placed on the 23rd floor (the highest it goes). To get the Instagram photo you see online, you need to physically move the mattress to the window. There is no room with a bed against the window, which is good because the sun shines bright especially as it reflects off the water in the morning. The hotel has a few dining options including a Starbucks in the lobby and a Morton's steakhouse. Honestly, with the current US/CAD exchange rate, the price per the room isn't that bad comparatively to other Marriott hotels. The room isn't the most modern but it's still nice. Enjoy a night or two in this hotel to get a premium Niagara Falls experience. read more

Our car was stolen from Valet last Friday night. After a quick google search, this happens very often yet the only additional security measures that have been added are more cameras. The parking lot has security gates that are not used, it has key card entry systems that is not functional and a security building that is also not used. This is negligence. They continue to allow cars to be stolen off the property. Cars are being broken into and/or stolen and all you do is add cameras to watch them be stolen. read more

I reserved their presidential suite for our anniversary and to ring in the new year. The room decor was a bit dated, but the bathroom and shower with twin shower heads for 2 people was nice. Unfortunately there were water pressure issues and periodically the water would stop coming out for a few minutes mid shower. The soaking tub was nice and deep too - great for two. Best of all, the view of the falls was amazing! While the two bellhop staff were nice and so was the front desk for the most part, one major shortcoming was the inefficient and sometimes rude valet workers. They should take notes on how Embassy Suites next door directs traffic. Room service wasn't great either. I was surprised that they didn't know what room I called from, unlike most every other hotel I've stayed. They also seemed uninterested in helping with requests (pay with card instead of on the room bill), especially if it meant they had to go "waaay down to the basement to do it." And once they brought just plates with no tray and stood at the door passing them to me one at a time - warning me they were hot but not caring if I had anything to protect my hands from the heat. With a bit more attention to service the stay would have been excellent. But for now I'll just remember the view. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE IF YOU STAY AT THIS HOTEL---not even a rental, unless you want to find yourself without a way to get back home like I did. Unfortunately, I cannot give a rating higher than 1 star because our locked vehicle was stolen from this hotel's parking lot (where guests are charged $45 a day to park) due to lack of security and it being in a high car theft area (which we found out the hard way from the local police when we filed a report). It ruined our trip. Can't say the view was worth it. Make sure if you do bring a vehicle that you pay the extra $20 for valet parking so Marriott is held liable when your vehicle is stolen. read more

This Marriott (Fallsview) is different from and superior to the nearby Marriott on the Falls which is farther away from the falls and do not have as nice views. In fact, for self parking, that's where they send you. This Marriott sends you to park at Marriott on the Falls (with Marriott parking pass). We were in Room 2025 (king room), and we must say the twentieth floor is quite amazing. Unparalleled view day and night. We got room service breakfast solely for the views. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but hey you got the views. Room service came fast and on time. Waitress was courteous. Long lines downstairs at the lobby for checking in or out, but luckily they have a counter for Marriott elites. Nice, new soaking tub (very clean too) with nice jets. The bathroom has a window that opens into the room and onto the floor to ceiling window for views. Room was modern; comfy bed; nice insulation (mostly). At least walls were thick. However, there seems to be a gap under the door and in the morning some kids were screaming in the hallway and the noise came right through (from under the door but fortunately not through the walls). read more

The hotel is perfectly located for the perfect view of the falls. The service was great, very clean and they have a handful of 5 star restaurants. My favorite thing was that they gave us a bunch of vouchers for free cocktails or wine. We clearly went down and got some wine and enjoyed the view. Our room was immaculate, and the jacuzzi tub was amazing and sized for two. We stayed up all through the night to watch the falls change color. The room made the Niagara visit way better than anticipated. Was able to enjoy its beauty way into the night while avoiding the elements. Our room here was amazing! The view of both the American and Horseshoe Falls was particularly stunning. The illuminations in the evenings were incredible and the rainbows !!! One of the days we were there a rainbow appeared over Horseshoe Falls for hours! The hotel lounge and restaurant also face the falls although the view is blocked somewhat by the tree line. We did watch a pretty red fox make its way from the brush over to the other side of the street. The breakfast buffet is excellent with made to order omelettes and a variety of both sweet and savory items. The concierge lounge on the fifth floor has gorgeous views as well. In the evenings there was a lovely cheese plate and there is a hot meal offering although more like an appetizer. The lounge was open 24/7 for hot and cold drinks which was convenient. Our room was great! There was a separate seating area facing the falls which can be closed off from the main room. Each has a tv. The shower was modernized with a separate room for the toilet. We did not use the jacuzzi tub on this visit but maybe next time!! The elevators were fast and there was rarely a wait. The bridge to cross over to the incline railway was just off the lobby. Bring your own lock if you want it leave a memory on Lock Bridge. When we checked in (extremely smooth process) we were given a coupon for the WeGo bus which was good for 48 hours. We used it to go all the way to the Floral Clock and back again to the hotel. This was a nice perk. If you've driven here you can self park across the street for $39/day. Otherwise it's $59/day at the hotel. Things here appear to be very expensive however the entire area around the falls is beautifully groomed and the flowers were amazing. Also...VERY safe! There are a lot of taxes tacked onto every purchase but someone has to pay for the free light show and fireworks each night! This hotel was a great option for us on our trip to Canada. The staff were professional and courteous, each asking how our stay was at every opportunity. Even a maintenance worker who'd been on the job since 3 am asked me how my stay was! Full disclosure, my wife is the Marriot Bonvoy member, not me, but she was too upset to write the review. We had booked, quite a long time ago, our dream vacation, staying at the Marriot Bonvoy in a room with a waterfall view. Knowing how much this must be in demand, we booked this way in advance. We use Marriot quite a bit, and even have (well, now had) future reservations for trips in October and beyond. At some point recently my wife had to update her payment information on the Bonvoy app, which is part of the story here. We left Los Angeles International Airport Friday morning very early in the morning. Around noon Pacific Coast time while we were in the air, someone tried to call my wife to say there is an issue with the credit card on file (turned out later there was some glitch that occurred due to my wife updating her payment type, we weren't totally clear on this). Within minutes of landing in Buffalo NY, we got that voice mail and called Marriot. They said because we did not answer, they cancelled our reservation. We explained we have been Bonvoy members in good standing (spending a small fortune on Marriot hotels for a long time now) and that we didn't answer the calls because we were literally flying to Buffalo so we could get to the hotel, and why are they doing this to us just a couple HOURS before we were set to check in? They said us not answering was unacceptable and that the room is cancelled and they will not be offering any alternative due to how busy it was. Only after being hung up on twice, did we finally get someone higher up to talk to. And only after my wife was literally crying on the phone to this higher up person, did they mention that they have another hotel in the Marriot Group farther away from the waterfalls (i.e. no falls view) and that they could see if there is any opening. My wife asked "is this something I could just as easily do if we called them" and they said "uh, yeah, basically, you won't get anything better by me calling them." Yeah we called them, they said nope, we've got nothing for you. So we were in another country with no place to stay. We scrambled and found other accommodations after spending quite a lot of time on Fallsview breathing car exhaust and wondering if we were going to have to either stay in a dump, or find somewhere outside of Niagara. To add insult to injury, one of the hotel personnel at the point where they drive people in, asked why we were standing there (politely suggesting we make our phone calls out on the street, not in the area where they receive guests). I heard the entire calls with them, and heard them hang up twice, and heard them basically not care at all. There was zero concern expressed. I don't know why this is happening, my wife has spent quite a lot in the Marriot Group and up until this trip, it has been great. read more

I am writing this review overall due to the lack of attention by the staff and terrible customer service. I booked a room with a falls view. All I see is trees. My room is so hot. The staff has been incredibly rude and ignored my concerns. A staff member yelled at a guest because he didn't let her get out of the elevator first. Everyone from Audrey (at the front) to the manager basically ignored my concerns and said they were too booked to care. I paid over $600 (with the Canadian taxes and fees included) per night to see trees, have a hot room and be given terrible service. The parking is over $45 per day and you have to walk two blocks. The line to check in is ridiculous. It's nowhere near Clifton Falls or any attractions and the hotel is very dated. I wish I would have stayed at the Sheraton which was my 2nd choice. Even if I had bad customer service there, at least I would have been closer to the main part of the falls. read more

We needed a getaway recently, after losing a beloved pet. We decided to head to Niagara Falls as it would be a first time trip for both of us. Upon a recommendation from our son, we booked the "Superior View" at the hotel. We were told at check-in (without even knowing why we were visiting) we were told by the gentlemen assisting us " I have a special room for you". As we walked into our room, tears just rolled down my eyes. We immediately saw the rainbow at the Falls and since it had only been a couple days since our beloved dog left us, the weather was supposed to be no sun, all rain- I could not help but think of of our Timber. She followed us there. We were given the last room on the top floor that in my opinion is the best room in the house. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE at this hotel was naturally kind to us. We never mentioned once what a sad state we were in. Dinner at Morton's was terrific and highly recommended. Upon check out- I had forgotten my phone in the room, and after calling the front desk, they hurriedly went to our room and retrieved it for me while we were at lunch. Super easy access to the falls and friendly people all around. This will be our go to hotel whenever we visit. read more

Beautiful view of the falls from our room. The hotel staff was friendly and valet parking was quick and efficient.

Book it online, or you'll get charged extra fees without notice. We checked the place on Booking and it looked perfect for what we needed. Beautiful waterfall view and nice rooms. We decided to just walk in where one person at the check in desk gave us a price higher than the one we saw online, we walked away and came back to ask about the price difference and the other person gave us a price similar to the one online so we decided to take. No one told us about the taxes not being included and the that the parking wasn't included. So we ended up paying an extra $100 than we were told originally. read more

We stayed at the Fallsview Marriott for 3 nights. We had an amazing view of the falls from the 11th floor. The light show at night was amazing. The room was nice and the staff very kind. read more

Had an Maxine experience staying in this hotel the view is absolutely stunning rooms are super clean top notch in my experience jacuzzi is great real comfortable bed. The crew is so helpful friendly vibe they're on top of everything complementary waters every day making sure we have everything we need to make our stay pleasant absolutely no complaints about the installations and the crew. The only thing that's keeping me from giving five stars is parking I really think that it should be included with your stay but instead we have to pay $35 a day and the parking lot is located three blocks from the actual hotel. Yes they offer valet parking, but that's way too over price. No handicap spots near the hotel which made it more difficult parking it's a real bummer. Over all we had a great time all the restaurants stores and attractions are real close but they where nice enough to give us we-go passes definitely recommended just make arrangements for parking. read more

Worst experience ever in a Marriott. Check in was a nightmare. Long wait for the room. Breakfast tables were covered with dirty dishes throughout the entire room. No one to bus the tables. Television didn't work. read more

Dirty and rude staff. I found someone's make up else's make up and a dirty tooth floss in my room, the cleaning service did not stop by to rectify even after repeated requests. I have 2 toddlers in the room so it was really skanky. read more

After booking then you learn of a Mandatory Fee of $58. If it is so Mandatory why not add it to the price of the room ? I know because you want to deceive. So they basically advertise one price but charge another. This is not a government tax although of course they charge that . This $58 is what they cleverly call and later reveal a Mandatory Fee. I wish the government of Ontario would crack down on operations like this. read more

Location, Location, Location View, View, View High Floors, High Floors, High Floors Marriott, Marriott, Marriott Close to Horseshoe, Horseshoe, Horseshoe Falls I repeat these words because all that you need to know is that you have the consistent quality of a Marriott with very close proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls with the most spectacular view from the high floors (23rd is the highest). This was a one day trip to the falls wherein we decided to arrive in the night and use my Amex Platinum $200 yearly travel credit for a nice room at the Marriott and then to leave for the States in the morning. So we arrived at this hotel and were greeted by the valet who provided us with the information about how to get the car back and what not. We left the key card and the Tesla with him and went straight to the concierge. At the concierge I was informed that the room doesn't have fallsview but has river view to which I was disappointed as the Amex travel website showed the falls from the window while booking. I informed the concierge that I am a Marriott Elite member as well; after I told her so, she gave me plenty of amenities for free apart from upgrading my room to a fallsview room. We went to the room and were again disappointed to see that the view was being blocked by a wall, so we asked them to change it again, which they did and this time the view was spectacular! The room was of good size with two queen beds and other amenities. Bathroom wasn't impressive at all. I would reserve 4 stars for the following: 1. Misrepresentation on Amex Travel website for showing the fallsview in pictures whereas it's river view 2. If I wouldn't have had the Marriott Elite status, I would've stuck with what was booked initially, a river view room 2. $50 plus taxes (comes out to $60+). They do not have on site parking and everyone is compelled to get it parked by the valet. It's not $50 plus HST only, it has other taxes as well. Hidden fees are always a big no for me. They lost me right there I would recommend this hotel only for the view we had from the room, else I do not recommend this hotel to anyone because of misrepresentation and false advertisement. The lady at the concierge was cool in saying that "oh don't worry about those website images, we post the same images for every room".
