    One bed bug.
    Paul D.

If I could give less I would. Let me start off by saying this hotel has BED BUGS. No other way to say it other than that. Now let's get into other aspects. No working WiFi. Shower was mot working with only water dripping out of the shower head. The room smelled badly. I have tried to address with the owners but they are refusing to discuss with me. Take my advice unless you want bed bug bites avoid this hotel as if it was the

We can't say enough about the hospitality of the father and son duo, Charles and Colin, that run this motel! I picked this motel because I read great reviews online and, boy, did they deliver. It might sound crazy, but these guys really made our trip to the Falls special. We were three females who decided to take a road trip from Chicago to Niagara and really didn't know what we were doing or how to find our way around. When we arrived at Falls Motel, we instantly felt like, dare I say, family. Upon entering, Colin pulled out four maps and pieced them together to show us all the ways to get around Niagara Falls and the area. They told us where we could go for late night snacks since we got in so late, where to shop, where to park for free at the Falls, etc. And the amazing part is that we didn't even ask! They were so accommodating! Also, once they found out we we three friends traveling together, they upgraded us to the family room with three individual beds, so we could each have our own. Now how great is that! Once I got the directions, Charles met us outside, walked us around the room, and asked to help with our luggage!! We should have asked if they were married! These guys were unbelievable! The room also included a quaint little basket of muffins, bananas, water and juice as our 'continental breakfast'. Just a couple words about the room. This isn't a luxury suite. Obviously, this is a motel so it has been around awhile. If you are used to luxury accommodations, I would venture elsewhere. However, if you really just want a clean, friendly place to sleep for the evening, and are up for an adventure, this is your spot. No complaints!!

Do not let the old fashioned appearance of Falls Motel scare you away! If you are looking for a relaxing and affordable stay within driving distance of Niagara Falls, look no further! Despite the aging appearance of the Falls Motel, the facility is clean and well-maintained. Although the motel is in an industrial part of town, I felt perfectly safe there and the area is quiet. This motel is great for solo travelers, couples, and families. I especially enjoyed the complementary in-room breakfast, which I was able to take to-go since everything is individually wrapped. The only downside to Falls Motel is that it is not within easy walking distance to the Falls, so you would have to rely on a shuttle or another form of transportation if you are visiting without a vehicle.

We decided to cross The Niagara Falls border so we can get an early start on driving. We wanted to find something cheap but decent. This location was the worse I have ever seen. The reviews say the owner is great and accommodating and the rooms are nice. ALL LIES... The Bates motel is better than this place and the owner looks like he is straight out of a horror movie. We had a queen bed with twin. The bed sheets look like they came from good Will. The twin bed was put in a corner right near the bathroom. My aunt swear she was getting bit by bugs which I'm sure was true. The furniture is so old it looks like it is from Abraham Lincoln's parents. The lamps are old and broken. They should have paid us just to stay there. Beds are super squeaky and the bathroom was nasty. Tv only show basic news channels. I can't believe Travelocity actually have them on their website. I will be calling them as well. If we didn't prepay for the room and only needed a couple hours sleep I would have left to sleep in a truck stop. DON'T WAST YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE.

What in the hell happened here? Room service much? I mean, I found it like this :|

I am a long-time Choice Privileges member and was able to get a great deal for two nights using Points-Plus-Cash, just $68 total out of pocket for both nights! This hotel is located just off of the I-190, behind the movie theater and Home Depot plaza. It seems to be a newer'ish build. One issue with the lobby, for me anyway--IT STINKS. LIKE VANILLA CUPCAKE PERFUME IS PUNCHING YOU IN THE FACE. REPEATEDLY. Most people probably enjoy this aroma, but for someone who is sensitive to fragrance, I got out of the lobby as fast as I could, and was glad I brought my migraine medicine just in case. I would recommend toning down the vanilla smell, some, sure, but this was WAY too much. We had a King standard suite. It was oddly a MASSIVE room! There was TONS of space, so much so they should really add a small table and couple chairs to the room, as it could easily fit it. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. The room also had a fridge and microwave, all clean and in working order. The hotel has a small indoor saltwater heated pool. The pool stays open until 11pm. That was nice as many hotels close up pools too early. We went down late Saturday and had the pool to ourselves for an evening swim. It was nicely warm and pleasantly quiet. One thing that wasn't quiet though--the rest of the hotel. One issue is the walls of our room were too thin. There was a youth hockey team dominating the hotel this weekend. Yes, they were loud, but even so the walls didn't seem to buffer much of anything. And these families could care less about any other guests, as they let hoards of kids rampage up and down the halls all hours of the day and night, and the room's closed door let a lot of noise in that way too. We have kids, I get they are loud, but never in a million years in all of our travels did we or would we ever let them just screaming-storm the halls. AND we even saw some adult men, either dads or coaches, wrestling with kids and banging on the walls in the hallways. Some moments of this? Fine. But hours on end? Very poor parenting IMHO, but I digress. Just a warning that if you stay here they seem to accommodate sports team families, and if they are rowdy, you will hear it. Had it not been for them, and the pungent-vanilla-chemical-fragrance smell in the lobby, our stay would have been entirely enjoyable. But due to the ruckus, I am docking a star for too thin walls and the staff didn't seem to care about the chaos throughout the whole hotel that weekend. But if we get another good deal for a future weekend getaway, I would roll the dice and stay here again.

But be forewarned: there are two Marriott-branded hotels located almost next door to each other another -- the other is directly across the street. I saw one couple confused about their booking. They were at the wrong hotel. It appears the the hotel most people are seeking when they book the "best view" is usually the Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa at 6740 Fallsview Boulevard. The nearby Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls at 6755 Fallsview Boulevard is a separate property. I was very pleased with the Fallsview Hotel. Unlike many hotels that advertise a falls view but have only a partial glimpse, the hotel's location provides a sweeping panorama of the falls. Most rooms seem to have a falls view. Higher-floor rooms offer an almost cinematic perspective, especially during the nightly illumination show and when fireworks are scheduled (nightly at 10 p.m. after May -- those poor gulls and their babies!). The facilities are extensive. The hotel features the recently renovated Burning Springs Spa and Thermal Pools, a fitness center, indoor pool that is sadly less that 5 feet at the deepest point, direct access to the Fallsview tourist district and convenient connections to nearby attractions. But spa access is not included in the stay-- such a disappointment. Generally, the property feels more like a destination than a standard convention hotel, with many public spaces oriented toward the falls. That includes and onsite Starbucks and Mortons steakhouse, plus a gift shop with a massive assortment of items: clothing, hats, bathing suits and goggles (even for the kids), maple syrup treats, medicine and beverages, etc. The biggest surprise for many guests is parking. Valet parking is convenient but expensive, currently around $80 per day, while self-parking is approximately $50-60 per day and located off-site rather than directly beneath the hotel. Valet service may be worthwhile because the self-parking lot requires about a 5-minute walk and the hotel arrival area can become crowded during peak times Overall, the staff was great -- they even sent up a red velvet cake for our anniversary! And the king suite (23rd floor) was sizable and comfortable, with a jet spa in the room looking directly toward the falls. The bed and pillows were also comfy. They also have two seats right in front of the windows with spectacular views. But there were so many bugs -- dozens and dozens gathered on the exterior glass -- after dark, we opted to keep the lights off. Not a concern, though. I would definitely stay here again.

For what this hotel charges, even if you're using points, I expected a much nicer and better maintained property. Instead, the entire hotel felt run down. The lobby had obvious water damage on the ceiling with peeling paint, which was not a great first impression. There were plenty of elevators, but it seemed like half of them were out of service during my stay. The room was no better. The shower curtain looked dirty, the towels did not feel clean, there were chips and scratches all over the furniture, peeling paint around the windows, and cracked bathroom tiles. Everywhere I looked there were signs that basic maintenance had been ignored. Even Morton's Grille was disappointing. For a restaurant that is supposed to be more upscale, it was dim, the chairs were peeling, and it just felt worn out. What made it even more frustrating was seeing the hotels around it. I went into the Hyatt next door and it was beautiful. Even the Marriott across the street, which does not have the same falls view, looked much newer and much better maintained. It made me wonder why this property has been allowed to get into this condition. The view is absolutely amazing, but the hotel itself does not match the price at all. I left feeling like I paid for the view and nothing else. I would not stay here again unless the property gets a major renovation.
