Two star because of the food! I'm not Vegan but during the season of Lent we don't eat meat on Fridays, so my wife and I decided to try this place. Wow what an experience...when we ordered the cashier ask if we'd like to make it a combo, ok sure let's upgrade to the combo. She asked what kind of side I wanted I said sweet potatoes fries and do I want to ADD a drink, I said I thought it was a combo, no we can ADD a drink. Why ask if I want a combo if we still have to ADD a drink? I did! While sitting and enjoying the food, I over heard the same say to another guest "I added more fries for you, nothing wrong with that people are nice. Then across from us were two other guest and another male employee walk over to them and said I threw in some drinks for you guys here you go! That bugged me knowing I order a combo and still had to pay additionally for a drink. Almost $50 for two combos that ridiculous! Just had to share! Absolutely love this place and I go often. Even though I'm not vegan I love the burgers here. I typically get the grilled shroom burger but I have also tried the Mexicali and spicy chicken burgers. They're all so flavorful and I don't feel like I'm missing out on meat/ chicken. I think their tater tots are the best but their regular and sweet potato fries are also great. I also love their vanilla ice cream. It's my favorite but they also have pineapple ice cream. They offer a variety of soda flavors as well. For sure the best plant-based burger joint in the OC. This is a larger restaurant compared to the stand-like location in Irvine near the airport. This location offers a wide selection of burgers and sandwiches. Fast, friendly service. Well worth the cost. Today was my first visit! I liked the fact that they had tater tots a lot of fast food don't offer. I wanted a mushroom burger made with just mushroom but the option was to get the mushroom melt minus the fake meet burger patty and minus the fake processed cheese. I got my burger and right off noticed the bun was not toasted. The mushroom and onion mixture had no flavor and was not seasoned, the tomato and lettuce tasted fresh. The tater tots also had no seasoning or salt so tasted bland. The two sauces I got honey mustard and ranch were not cold like they had been sitting out of refrigerator. Over all I really wanted to like this place it's close to my work and would be a recurring customer, unfortunately the cost of the product didn't Match the taste. Its all about the food, but I have to say, Nice Guys lives up to its name, the employees are really nice, like surprisingly nice for drive through workers!! On to the food. This is pure indulgence. I could barely eat half a burger, these are pretty decent portion sizes. It made me ask how people eat like this every day (meat eaters at fast food restaurants)! So this is a luxury kind of meal, both because of the nutritional impact and the price, but it's definitely worth an ocasional visit. This stuff tastes like what I imagine non-veg fast food would taste like, but probably even better because of the quality (hence the higher price tag). Earlier tonight, my sister and I went to Nice (Guys) Burger for their pineapple cream soda. I am not a soda person, but this is the only exception I will ever make to say, I could drink this by the gallon. :D But I also ordered their spicy chicken and hot chick burgers. I want to talk about the phenomenal customer service all the time at this specific Santa Ana location. All the times I have been here, I believe it is the founder himself who is working and offering such hospitable services. For this reason, I feel I would consistently also return to this location. Back in January, I took my cousins here who were visiting from the East Coast to try vegan burgers. We ordered and ate inside. I can now confirm that it was owner who checked on us several times to see if we needed any sauces or had any questions, essentially ensuring that we enjoyed our meals. He took time to talk to my cousins who shared that back in the East Coast, they don't really have a good vegan burger spot like we do in Southern California. It was just really pleasant that the founder took time to get to know the customers, works hard, and at the same time, offers a very warm and welcoming vibe to the establishment for his customers. I come here pretty often like every 2 weeks as a treat, this place has good size vegan burgers! I'm always satisfied when leaving here! I love their fountain drinks too, I pick the açaí soda. There is not a heavy customer service Element here, but it doesn't stop me from coming back. They have a self serve kiosk that I always use but I've also never had anyone one offer to take my order. I personally don't mind because it is 2023 but I can understand how if it was your first time, weren't tech savvy or simply preferred to have sometime to take your order to ask questions to, it could be a little off putting. This might be because most of their business comes through their drive thru because there always a line. While there is plenty of dining space inside & outside they do neglect to do lobby checks. The condiment area was a little dirty the last 2 times that I've gone. I always enjoy their burgers & sandwiches but this time I decide to go for breakfast & was not disappointed. I had their Breakfast Burger & my friend had their Breakfast Bagel Sammie. I ordered tater tots with my order & she got sweet potato fries with hers both of which are always yummy. I was hungry and Yelped the area around me. I saw that "Nice Guys" was hot and new and most importantly near me. So I went for it. I ate at the place without knowing it was vegan. It was night and all I saw was the sign "Nice Guys," I thought it was a new hamburger place. The next day I read the box the burger came in and noticed it said vegan. Vegan! I could not tell the difference between it and McDonald's. Atmosphere: 2 stars. The place is only open for drive thru. There is a construction fense next to it that makes the place look unfinished. It also looks like they are converting the place from whatever restuarant it was before. They have patio eating in front of the place but it is still drive thru only. I parked my car and ate in the lot. Service: 5 stars. The guy who was my server was friendly and helpful. I did not catch his name but he was a 5 star server. He made good recommendations and I real felt like he put me first. Value: 3 Stars. I honest do not fully know how to rank this place. I thought it was a deluxe burger place. Compared to "The Habit" and such places that server real meat "Nice Guys" is terrible. I paid $9.99 for the burger when I would have paid $5 or $6 for the same burger. Again I did not know I was eating Vegan. So natural I was disappointed and thought I over paid for what was a McDonald's BigMac. Now that I know it was a vegan burger I was eating I have to compare it to like places like "Veggie Grill," which offers a similair burger for $9.95. So the price is industry standard for non-meat burgers. Quality: 4 stars. Not knowing it was a vegan burger I felt like it lacked the right sauce. I could tell it was fresh. I could tell it was freshly made also. Still I thought that "this" burger should be a slider with dipping sauces because it was bland. I thought they did not put enough sauce or condiments in the burger, like it was vanilla ice cream or a cheese pizza, only not sweet and I wanted something on it or at least something to dip it in. The helpful service did give me a choice of sauces and I went with ranch (which they make in house) and I liked it. I guess they don't put enough fat in their burgers for the flavor but it is quite good if you dip it. Special note: I consider their Root Beer to be 5 stars. Also their straw fries were at least 4 stars for freshness and taste. Again they are better with dipping (ranch). I see myself trying this place again just for the drinks and fries. read more

[Covid] Drive Thru. Leaving work and saw this sign with flashing lights. What do you know! It's Nice Guys! First tried their food at their Costa Mesa location and loved it. So happy this one is a just a hop and skip away from work. Coming from a meat eater, this plant based fast food is delicious! My favorite is their Spicy Chicken & their BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. I've been wanting to try Nice Burger for a while now. I'm not a vegan, but once in a while, I like to eat plant-based food. I imagined that this place would be just as good (if not better) as Monty's Good Burger, and I was right. Nice Burger definitely is high on my list of vegan places to go to now. My husband got the Cali burger and tater tots (with honey mustard sauce) and I ordered the Grilled Shroom burger and animal-friendly fries. I accidentally asked for my fries animal-style, and the young man who helped me politely corrected me, which I appreciated. We devoured everything. It was that good! This was one of my favorite vegan establishments but sadly I won't be returning. Tonight I ordered $50 worth of food. Now, I understand the planet friendly compostable utensils and such but between the straws always breaking and my root beer leaking into my car cup holder(loss of drink and now a messy clean up) I'm not sure how durable they are. I was not given the correct amount of sauces that I paid for and there was a string of hair in my French fries. All this wasn't realized until I arrived home and I live twenty minutes away so I wasn't going to take more time to go back. I tried calling the restaurant multiple times but no answer. I love Plant Power and so when I heard of this place, I knew I had to give it a try. My friend said this is one of the best vegan places he's been to - which made me a little skeptical since Plant Power was up there for me.
