Gully Burger, inside McFadden Market Place, is a great spot for beef lovers. Their smash burgers are super juicy . They are not exceptional but a good halal option. The fries were excellent too--crispy and fresh. Service was excellent. The place has a cool vibe, like a food court, but with really nice decor and branding. It's definitely a hip spot, mostly with younger people hanging out. There's a club on the second floor, and a pizza /taco place opposite serving halal food as well. Overall, it's a solid halal spot with great food and a nice setup. If you're in the area, give it a try!

I honestly had NEVER heard of this place until we happened to check out McFadden Public Market for the first time. We had just ordered some quesabirria from Tacompadre right across, but decided we weren't quite full yet, and our noses led us to Gully Bruger! PARKING: I can't remember if you can park in front of the market but you'll have no problem finding public parking in Downtown Santa Ana. I believe due to construction for the streetcar, the city is offering free/discounted parking garages. WHAT I ORDERED: Jangli fries THE FOOD: We were blown away when we saw our food come out and it smelled so good! The beef on top was very flavorful and tender, and the boom sauce and raita aioli made these fries so much more interesting. And the grilled onions? Perfect for a night out. In-n-Out who??? SERVICE: Food came out pretty quick! VIBES: The market felt like a great place to hang out with friends - it's a little on the smaller side compared to other food halls, but I think that's what gave it some charm. Mission Control bar is on top so after eating we went up to do some karaoke. BOTTOM LINE: My strong recommendation is just from the fries alone. I can't imagine how good the burgers must be.. Looks like I'll need to come back!

Holy moly, this place was amazing! I didn't expect it to be this amazing. The service was quick and so helpful. The server was giving us very detailed descriptions of each item on the menu since it was our first time. The jangli fries, that could be a whole meal. It's like animal style fries from in n out but better. The bhangra burger was like a bomb of great and unique flavors. I highly recommend it!! This is where I went wrong. I went to try the bhangra burger first and then the gully burger. So the second one was good, nothing bad about it. It was juicy, flavorful but not as great as the first one. Can't wait to come back. I have a feeling I'm gonna crave this spot.

Location was questionable. Asked a security guard across the street in parking garage if he knew on Gully Burger. He has been on the job for months and said he didn't know. It is located in food court set up and looked like a ghost town and digital order kiosk out of order . The young man at the register greeted us with a smile. He then explained to me the options. I went with their Thicc 3 Patty and Cheese. My wife had the gully burger on fries. Time from order to serve was good. A smile and kindness followed. Price was good for knowing wages needed and quality of food. All burgers get compared to the Owl Burger San Antonio, NM (OG home of Hiltons). This is the that good!! Enough said!

This place has bomb burgers! I got the skimpy gully burger which is a two by two smash burger. The meat was super flavorful and the sweet pickles helped balance out the salt. The fries were super crispy and the sauce was so good. Definitely would come again! It is a order at the counter and find a seat type of place, but there is plenty of seating. The parking is a bit tricky but there is a small parking lot and public parking near by with the first hour free.

Too greasy but a good amount of meat. Buns were soaked with grease and not my favorite. Sauce was lacking since they didn't put enough. But a good halal burger.

    Gully burger

My first time trying Gully Burger and I was blown away by the delicious burgers, and exceptional service. I tried the Bhangra burger, which has a deliciously crispy yet juicy smash, halal burger meat, their special creamy house sauce and pickled red onions, cucumber, and cheese: an amazing twist to the typical American burger. Their fries were perfectly cooked, with a crisp exterior but still a satisfying bite, seasoned with something more than just salt, which I really loved. There was a miscommunication on my order, I'm not sure if it was my end or their end, but regardless they were willing to remake my burger without any hesitation. I was not expecting that, but I really appreciated their response. I found plenty of seating inside the food market on a Saturday night. It's a nice spot to hang out with friends or with family too. Surrounding parking is plentiful, with available lots nearby and street parking. The immediate lot is paid parking so I suggest trying street parking is you can.

What a smash hit!! Definitely get their cheese fries absolutely amazing, paired with smash burger and pastrami on top

    Bhangra burgers and gully fries

My partner and I had been seeing Gully Burger all over social media and finally decided to give it a try. We waited a bit for the hype to die down and visited on a Saturday afternoon. It's located in downtown Santa Ana near Mission Control. Luckily, it wasn't too busy when we arrived, but after we ordered, the crowd started rolling in. Despite that, the staff was quick and efficient. The seating can fill up quickly, but they have a nice patio in front with some extra space. We both ordered the Bhangra Smash, which features a Wagyu patty minced with a special house blend (Aka chapli kabob), topped with pickled red onions, tamarind chutney-marinated cucumbers, and serrano, mint, and cilantro aioli. I personally really enjoyed it - it reminded me of the chapli kabobs sandwiches my mom use to make, which felt nostalgic. My partner, on the other hand, didn't find it all that unique. However, we both loved the Gully Fries - the creaminess of the cheese was perfect! Overall, I'd definitely return when in the area, especially for the fries and the nostalgic flavors. If you're a fan of chapli kabobs, it's worth a try!

Gully fries, gully smash with wagyu pastrami, and the Bhangra smash burger, and the salaam cola. HOLY CRAP.

Wow wow WOW was that good! I'm glad I took a photo of everything before we inhaled it because if I knew how good it was, I would have started eating without hesitation lol the service was fast, the staff was friendly, the location was great. I couldn't have asked for a better way to end my night PLEASE TRY

The Gully Smash Asad's Way was a symphony of flavors, with each component perfectly cooked and seasoned. You can really taste the love and care that goes into their food." Our server was knowledgeable and helpful, offering great recommendations and The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service. I highly recommend this place.

The aloo samosa chat (which was recommended to us by the server) was amazing. I've never ordered this dish before, but the curry and the crispy samosa were a great combo. I also enjoyed the chicken malai tikka Afghani style. The pani poori I could've gone without. Every entree we ordered was throughly enjoyed by our whole party. We had the palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, and lamb curry. As for breads, the garlic naan was a better bang for your buck. It was larger and more flavorful than the plain roti. The only thing I did not enjoy about this place was the water cups. Minor nuisance, but the metal cups gave a very noticeable metallic taste to the water. Besides that, this is a great pace that we will be coming back to!

It is a very authentic Pakistani restaurant. We didn't know there was a Sunday buffet and it was kinda nice because they had so many dishes that we got to try everything plus ordered other stuff to go that were not in the buffet. I am very picky in term of Pakistani food and this was a very good one. Food wise - the lamb and chicken biryani were nice. It had flavor and had meat in them. The Beef Paya was my favorite. The Nihari was so flavorful & the sauce is so good like your eating at Burns Rd in Karachi. The Goat Quorma had the perfect spice to it. The chicken tikka masala was delicious, I even tried the Pakistani omelette and was great. The seekh kabob was the least fav. - it was one of those pre-made frozen ones. I didn't bother. They also had Aloo Chana and many selections of desserts - Kheer, Ras Malai, Gulab Jaman, mango lassi, and many other fruits - all presented nicely. The naan was made fresh. There was a lot to the buffet selection as you can see on the pics I am attaching. We ordered Magaz Masala to go and was wonderful. I definitely recommend this place. Premium combo = entree + $10 Entree + premium drink + masala fries I tried the bowl with mild biryani, malai chicken, green (mild) sauce, and guava mango lassi. The bowl already comes with the raita sauce (a yogurt sauce), so I got the green sauce as my choice of sauce after asking the staff for recommendations. The protein portion was super generous and very well-seasoned with their spice. The green sauce was my favorite and everything in the bowl mixed well together. The whole bowl was delicious and it didn't feel heavy, wasn't greasy. The Kashmiri Chai and the guava mango lassi are the most popular drinks, so I decided to try the guava mango lassi. The flavors blended so well. One wasn't more overpowering than the other, and the sweetness level was perfect for me, also, not too much ice. Masala fries So crispy and well-seasoned!! Could be a little less salty. Gulab jamun cheesecake Also asked for recommendations for their cheesecakes and decided to go with this one. It has the fried donut ball in the middle with syrup. It didn't taste too sweet to me, but I also have higher tolerance for sweets. The center has so much of the cheesecake cheese and it was super soft and fluffy. So delicious! The samosas were also great! Crispy and not too oily. I also love that they use compostable takeout containers, including the lid! The interior looks nice and there are a few seats available. There's outdoor shaded tables and seats too. The only downside is that I wish the outdoor seats were a bit cleaner. There is a free parking garage, just make sure to park in the retail spaces. There was enough parking. The staff members are so helpful and very friendly. Can order with a staff member or using their kiosk. HIGHLY recommend!! Would definitely go back!
