I decided to try nice nails and spa with my daughter yesterday for the first time. I'm bilingual three different languages. Along with my daughter and I were two other ladies getting pedicures all at the same time. I work in safety so I have to wear steel shoes so my big toes are bruised and not as pretty as other ladies toenails for that reason. They have an employee named Justin and he is a complete unprofessional jerk. He made it a point to come over to three times and make remarks about how horrible my feet were to my lady. I don't recommend this business for any services for this reason. He was completely unprofessional and rude. He didn't walk over to anyone else's nail tech but mine and he said horrible things. Please spend your money elsewhere. also, I hope he gets fired. He should not be working in the service that he's working in making the remarks he made laughing chuckling and saying rude things about my feet. Absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary. The customer service was really good, they're making everyone sign Covid waiver which I really like because people do need to be aware of the consequences & NOT BLAME the businesses, they are using full place block masks as well as placing screens in front of individuals getting pedicures! I got the "NATURAL PEDICURE" which is 35$ and was nothing more than a basic pedicure, so I am not sure what the difference even was, maybe the scrub or lotion she used, I wouldn't recommend though especially since it wasn't anything more or special. I got a gel manicure which I guess is also 35$ , a little more than I have ever paid for a gel mani & I couldn't find the actual price on that one, but it's fine now I know. She did a great job and stayed right in lines , she was nice, felt a bit rushed & she did cut 2 of my fingers, but I know she didn't mean to she said sorry, I think she's just stronger than she thinks. Had to get gas at Costco so impulsively came here instead of my regular salon for a gel mani. This place is small and clausterphobic. Not exactly the friendliest service. I came here because I needed a fill and had just gone to Costco. I usually go to a place in Yuba City and just decided to come here because it was close.....such a regret. Over priced for a fill and my little ones nails painted ($55). She kept burning me and instead of lowering the speed she said it was because I moved. She only used the gold bit on one hand so one hand is smooth, the other is wavy. She didn't go close to my cuticle at all anyway. Eh, it was okay. Not good, not bad, just so-so. I am a perfectionist when it comes to my nails. I don't get manicures or pedicures very often, partially because of my obsession with my nails being smooth with no jagged edges or sharp corners and being symmetrical. I figure it's part of my OCD, so keep that in mind with this review. I also suck at asking for names, so I'll just describe both people who helped me today. Walking in, I was greeted right away and told to pick my color(s). After choosing two, I waited awkwardly for a few minutes until the young male technician who did my pedicure came to get me. The chairs are nice massage chairs, but really non-intuitive and confusing to use, plus they're on a timer and when the time is up, it goes back to the [uncomfortable] default position. Really weird, but whatever. I had the OPI pedicure, which was nice. It was $45 and included a scrub, paraffin wax, and hot stone massage. The technician didn't try to make small talk, which I actually appreciated. If you zoom in on my photo, though, you can see the polish job is not too great, but it's not awful. It's better than I could do myself. I had a regular manicure, done by a young female technician with braces. It was just your basic manicure - no frills. I'm pretty disappointed in the polish job. Part of one thumb's polish has a slightly smeared blob on it, the nails aren't even with each other (though I'll take responsibility for that part because I should have spoken up), and my cuticles are dry and need more trimming around the finger itself. It's hard to explain, but you can see it in my photos. Both technicians were pleasant enough, no complaints there. I just need to find someone who's a perfectionist. read more

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this place. It's been a while since I had my pedicure here. I went back and noticed the price increased due to be able to comply with new Government regulation on providing more sanitary tools/supplies. & thats okay, IF THEY FOLLOWED IT. When i went, i ask the nail tech i want CLEAN tools and NEW filer & buffer as i noticed used tools on his cart from the previous client, he acted like he knew what I said, but disregarded my request. He used dirty nail filer & buffer & nail clippers, cuticle remover. I was mortified. My pedicure also felt rushed. & it was a SLOW day, no one was waiting. I did not get to enjoy my experience. I hope this review will help get their act together, it will be a while for me to go back. It used to be my favorite. I am willing to try this place out but it will be a while. read more

This place has the worst customer service. Strike 3 First time I waited for 1 hour before they even sat me in a chair. They were not even busy. My nails turned out great so I thought I would return. Mistake! My nails chipped a week later. Second visit: my technician messed up my nails tried to blame me and I finally got her to fix them. Nails chipped two days later and lifted. Third strike: I show up to my appointment 10 mins early (key word I made an appointment for 5:30. They were not busy. I sat waited 15 mins. The guy asked 15 mins later for me to sit but no direction no tech available. Some other customer walks in no appointment, he immediately helped her and started her nails. I sat 5 more minutes before I got up and said that I had an appointment and specifically made one so I would not have to wait. No sincere apology so I walked out. That's it, I will not return. So frustrating that we have a shortage of good salons anywhere in this or the surrounding cities. read more

(Not named here) So when asked about the "color"... why do they ALL ask that?!... anyway- I saw they had the chrome style and I showed her my nails at the time and asked if she could do the chrome with the "unicorn" overlay. Sure she sez... She began sanding away and boom! A cut! Ow!! She barely acknowledged my pain and boom! Another cut!! WTH??? First, let me start by saying, we are in strange times. This happened during COVID. They had 4 people in and we were all together with plastic Shields near the front of the business with the doors open. I don't know the specific mandates in place to be in business but I did appreciate it looked like they were doing what they could. With that said. I made an appointment, they took me promptly in, I was seated in a computer chair (no fancy massage chair) and my feet were in a portable foot bath like you would use at home. Again, not there fault and working with what they could. The ladies were nice but I felt like the girl I had just wasn't interested. She hardly paid much attention to what she was doing and seemed super distracted. My nails were cut and filed. She never looked to cut the sides to prevent in grown nails (which I know I have). I have been to several places just depending on where I end up and they have all made sure to cut the sides to fix or prevent in grown nails. I will include one photo but previously I had a dark color, you can see on 7 of my nails the previous color because she didn't polish all the way to the side and didn't take the polish off. It was not gel, it was regular polish. Also, on a few of my toes the polish is very uneven and there was polish on top of 2 of my toes somehow. Luckily I had done a foot peel about 2 weeks prior and my feet were 95% smooth but she spent almost not time actually scrubbing/exfoliating my feet. I know I'm not the only one with a few problem areas where the foot dries and gets hard. When done, she grabbed her purse and it appeared some friends walked in and they were heading to lunch. I could have walked out without paying, no one told me what I owed (prices are up since COVID according to a sticker placed on the menu) and or paid any attention, I just awkwardly stood there. Finally I handed someone $40 and they said told me it was $33. I told her to keep it and left. Would I go back? If I was desperate and had someone else working on me. read more

I am new to town and looking for my new nail spot. I tried here first. My pedicure was just okay. No real complaints-- it wasn't amazing. I like it when the nail tech really gets in and removes cuticles and dead skin. My manicure, on the other hand, was garbage. The girl had so much dandruff in her hair, it's all I could look at. She was super rude too. I don't think the tools were cleaned between customers on my tech, but I did see other techs open brand new tools for their customers. I got there at 3:35 and noticed he had already started on another person and asked me to get my nails done from titi which is fine I thought. However, titi started doing my nail and only asked what color I wanted. she didn't even bother to ask the shape or length I wanted so I thought maybe she'll ask while she's doing them.. she started applying the powder and when she finished, I had to ask her to shorten the length. She did and than she started filing my nails without even asking what shape I wanted and before I could say anything she already shaped1-2 nails in a square oval shape. I hate my nails. After waiting 25+ minutes after my previously scheduled appointment time, they left my nail completely messed up, tried to keep adding more polish on it, and then charged my full price. The tech also cut me twice, and did nothing about it even after telling her I have a blood clotting disorder. I unfortunately will not be going back. I understand other employees may be be different, however the young gentleman I had to do my fill was rude. I had one that had lifted after I jammed it (typically when this happens anyone good at their job will grind down the acrylic to where it's lifted too. If you don't and it stays as a pocket under new acrylic it can cause moisture to build up and cause an infection). He didn't want to do that until I point this out and did it with frustration in his body language. Proceeded to tell me I needed a new set and it was pointless to get a fill and that they wouldn't last long.. Funny thing is that they aren't plastic tips, they are my natural nail with acrylic over lay.... Once I told him that when he went to "clean" under my nails he grinded my nail so far down that my natural nail no longer exists. Lastly I wanted black. I asked for the DND black licorice as DND is one of my favorite gel brands. He insisted on using his out black. Said it was better. I request led again that he use the one I asked for and continued to tell me no... at this point I didn't have time to argue. Clearly this whole appointment was irritable for me. I chose this place for a Pedicure as I was traveling through. It was in a nice location, but in this case, looks are deceiving. Although they seated me immediately, it was not a comfortable experience. They prepared the water in the bowl and had me put my feet in. As I was trying to settle in and put my chair back (it was in the full forward position), because I was cramped, I was told the chair was broken and wouldn't move. Mistakenly, I went ahead with my Pedicure. I was not comfortable as the chair was totally disabled and I could make no adjustments. I was not relaxed, the place was hot, and the technician was moving at warp speed. It was in no way relaxing. I would never go back to this location, nor can I recommend it to anyone. read more

I think this was probably the worst pedicure I have gotten. When I first got there it's like no one wanted to help. And it was in the early morning so around 10:30 and there was no one there. I've been there when they are busy and I know they usually try to get you in right away, but the place wasn't even ready for customers for the day. They had me sit and it wasn't even clean yet. Very dirty. And the young guy working kept hurting me. I told him what are you doing after he did it a few times felt like he was trying to RIP my skin off. This place is horrible. I went in for a gel manicure and one of the colors I picked ended up looking much different then it looked in the sample pallet. I told the lady I didn't like it but she wouldn't change it since she had already started. The lady was also very rough and rushed through to get done...I'm shocked that she didn't injure me. This place is about as far from "nice" as it gets. Will never be back and will let people know to avoid this place. I not only had to pay for a bad manicure but I had to pay to go get the color I hated removed at a different nail salon....the other salon had no issue with the color change so I'm not sure why nice nails wouldn't change it for me...I guess they must not care about keeping business. Just needed to add to my review and say that my gel polish that usually lasts between 4 and 6 weeks is already chipping off after like barley a week and my cuticles look horrible.
