I got the signature hydrating facial through ClassPass, I loved it. It was obviously hydrating and the facialist was so attentive, she told me everything she was doing and why. I totally forgot her name but I'm sure they are all well trained. She did try to get me to buy a added treatment but as as soon as I declined she totally moved on and didn't make me feel bad. When you walk in, it's tiny but what space isn't tiny in NYC? I thought I wouldn't be comfortable but as soon as I laid down and she began I forgot that I was in a tiny space separated from another person by just a simple curtain. She explained the process and had me sit down and she draw the shape I told her I wanted soft arch. This Monday I went in and had it done. I absolutely love them. I feel beautiful. Would give zero stars if I could. Showed up 10 minutes early for my 11am appointment which I received both a confirmation text, email, and reminder for. When I showed up, they claimed I didn't have an appointment and could not take me, when I booked an appointment two weeks in advance DIRECTLY through their website, not ClassPass or etc, and included my card payment for a deposit to hold my booking. I came all the way from Brooklyn and ended up wasting two hours of time- with them claiming that they had never received my booking. They told me they could take me in TWO HOURS since they were fully booked and very busy- completely disregarding that I myself am a customer and client who had a BOOKED APPOINTMENT WITH PROOF. I left explaining that I would not be available later in the day and would not wait two hours for something I had booked and paid a deposit for. Later, I called back explaining my frustration and she hung up saying "they were very busy and booked right now and that it was a website error" and did not provide any solution or try to accommodate me. Would not reccomend this place, poor customer service and a waste of time, never had to deal with such a ridiculous situation. Find somewhere else in the city for a cheaper price and better service. Edit- I'm sorry, "DISTURB" your other clients? I sat down in the waiting area like you had asked me to while for the next 30 minutes I was doing everything I could to find my booking confirmation email without saying a word or causing a commotion of any kind, only to be approached every two minutes by your worker aggresively saying over and over again that "I did not have an appointment." I VERY CLEARLY stated that I could NOT be seen at a later appointment that day- I had a flight to catch and left in a hurry thanks to this waste of time and rude encounter. I do not care about the price or cost of your service or your discount you offered me 4 hours later after HANGING UP ON ME while I tried to call to clear up the situation only to not be accomodated in any way. I will not give a single penny to a business establishment that treats their customers like this. Yes you may do a good job at your service, but so can any other lash lift place in New York City, but clearly you cannot provide customer service in the slightest. In regards to the deposit- the online booking on YOUR WEBSITE asks explicity for full card information stating that it is for a deposit to hold the booking- in which I received MULTIPLE BOOKING CONFIRMATIONS like I have stated at least 100 times at this point. So how are you going to handle a situation this way at the discretion that it is YOUR FAULT. Claiming that its a "website error" and did not receive any deposit or my appointment. Does that not sound ridiculous to you? Own up to your mistakes and do better. Period. read more

I got eyebrow lamination and tinting yesterday. Made an appointment through ClassPass on the same day and they took me right away as I got there. A whole thing took about 50 minutes - Lamination, tinting and trimming. For lamination they ask if you want a dramatic or soft look. After they applied the solution I could feel burning sensation on my skin. I felt the irritation but was able to hold it. For tinting, they asked which color I want. For choosing color there is no color sample I can check with. For me it was difficult to choose which color without seeing a color palette. And then they asked me if I want threading or waxing - they suggested threading since my skin was already irritated. After all is done I was feeling great enough to have my brows laminated yet not for tinting. Tinting is not visible at all. I got medium brown but there is no color on my brows at all. Also both my brows got some red spots from lamination process and next day my irritation just got so bad. I can't even tough my brows. It hurts so much. I was very excited to give it a try and actually left the salon happily. However, it just got worse and worse - I am not satisfied with this result after all. She was so patience and really took her time to ensure my eyebrows look perfect and even. She is very detail oriented, nice, sweet, caring, and most importantly she makes me feel I can trust her. She even text me after a couple of days regarding my brows and remind me things I should avoid. I even went back to her for perm eyeliner!! I can save 1/2 hour every morning because I don't need to draw my brows now. This is the first time I've ever had any brow work or hair removal work done. The staff at Nicebrow made my first experience satisfying. I had my brows waxed and there was minimal pain, and the laser hair removal process wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be. I also opted for a facial session. Julie, the facial tech was very friendly with super soft hands. The part that I dread the most is when it's time to remove the blackheads from my nose. On Thurs May 12 at approximately 2pm , I was taking a leisurely walk on East 9th between 1st+A. Saw a little shop called Nice Brow and decided to inquire about eyerow dyeing . Sign on store said OPEN , however the young Asian Lady looked nervously at me but would not let me in . I asked if they were open, pointing to the sign . Looking extra nervous, she went to the back and came out with an older Asian lady and they conferred for a bit and I saw the older lady shake her head vigorously to the younger lady , who came back and said they were closed for lunch,with a door sign OPEN ... I got home approx half an hour later and called the salon .Asking to speak to the owner, I was told that she was not there and they didn't know when she'd be there and hung up . I just cant help wondering if I'd have gotten the same treatment if I were White and perhaps not male. I didn't feel good walking away after such treatment and since they (honestly think it was the older lady on the phone) hung up , I just thought I'd think out aloud in this forum. Came here through ClassPass twice now. First time I did the facial with the add-on which was great. Felt like I got a really good overall experience and my skin felt phenomenal. I did the LED light therapy as my add on and it was my first time trying it. Not sure if I really gained any results from it as I do not do LED light therapy often enough. Second time I came in my esthetician was Alice who was pleasant and had a lovely disposition. This time around I did not do an add on and did feel that my experience was a little different, definitely was probed to consider an add on and potentially buy their products from the front. Not a huge fan when other extra add ons are mentioned in a sales sort of way. I also felt like she cut short the extractions because I noticed I do have blackheads on my nose still. Not sure if she felt like she did not want to keep pushing and causing me discomfort, but the reason I was there was solely for that. I will consider trying one more time to see how my experience goes, but definitely worth checking this place out as it is a very nice facial center in the city. I had a facial here through Classpass and really enjoyed it. I was anxious about being late, but they were very nice about me arriving 15 minutes late. My facial with May was very calming, and she seemed to be able to extract a lot of the impurities from my skin. She even showed me at one point what she was able to extract from my nose, which I could understand some people not liking, I appreciated getting to see so that I knew that facial was effective. Towards the end, she put a face mask on me and said I'd have to keep it on for 15 minutes. It felt like it ended up being much longer than that, I started to get uncomfortable and worried they forgot about me. Other than that, everything was very professional and a great value. It was not a fancy place -- the "rooms" were just separated by curtains and you could hear people in the waiting room and the phone ringing, but my skin definitely feels MUCH softer and healthier. I stumbled upon NiceBrow as I was walking in the EV and walked in to check out what they offered. I took a brochure went to run an errand and decided I needed to go try it now. I walked in around 6:15pm and May was kind enough to stay an extra 40mins to do a full diamond microdermabrasion facial. It was my first facial experience ever and it was incredible!! Every part of the procedure was done with such care and attention to detail. The microdermabrasion was painless, the face, body and head massage were amazing (put me right to sleep!), deep blackhead extraction, a cool mask, and even a lip mask and a hot eye mask!! Everything about my experience was wonderful. The beds are very comfortable and even offer slippers to wear. I loved my facial and will definitely be back for more!! read more
