To be honest, that was a hot mess. I am usually not so picky but the nail polish was literally at its end and instead of offering a different color or grabbing another bottle of that one, she went for it. It took longer because of this and anyone who paints nails (even just for fun) knows that it will be too thick and dry poorly when it's old nail polish. Two of my nails even though they are dry are already melting off as expected. It would have looked better if I had done it myself and sadly that's not quality at all. Go to one of the zillions of places that offer the same services - this place Is awful. I've been here 2x and will never go again. The first time, there was one other customer and several people "working" by chit chatting together. I was told to wait in the waxing room. Every time I checked in timing, I was told "just a few minutes." 20 minutes later, I left. Today, there were no other customers, but again was told to wait. Ten minutes later, I asked how much longer I needed to wait and was told another 15 minutes. I crossed the street and got the services completed before Athena's would have even started. I walked in since I was in the neighborhood. The cleanliness of the shop right away caught my attention. I was very impressed with how my eyebrows turned out. I am always hesitant when it comes to grooming my brows because I like to do them myself. But Sweety did a wonderful job. I asked for a very full and natural cleaned up look and it was perfectly delivered. Sweety informed me where she would take off hair next to ensure I liked the outcome. I like to use the word perfect lightly, but they were just that, exactly how I expected and wanted. I never leave reviews, but I feel morally obligated to warn other women. Do not get your lashes done here. I came home with lashes glued to my eyelid skin and multiple lashes glued and clumped together. The worker also didn't wash my lashes before starting and did not isolate lashes. She also had me open my eyes for part of the process as she added lashes. This is dangerous and could blind someone. I told the woman they were stuck together and on my skin and she said that is how they do it and this is normal. This is a major red flag. Any professional lash technician would know. This is unhygienic, unprofessional, and unsafe. There is risk for legal and medical problem for the business. I really should have stopped in the middle and said something more. The lady working on me other than that was very nice and gentle, I just think they need better training. read more

I usually never write reviews, but I had to for the sake of other people. I give 1 star for them being able to schedule me within short notice. Other than that, it was the worst experience ever! I went in to get lash extension removal. The solution got in to my eye and she said it was because my eyes were open, but I let her know before that the solution was already in my eye. She had to physically take me to the sink to rinse off my lashes. I've gotten my lashes removed at other salons before and the process is so much different and less painful. read more

So I actually never made it to Athena's beauty but I still needed to write them an amazing review given the customer service. I am about to go to Costa Rica in a few days, and I cannot get to my regular lash technician. I sent out an inquiries to multiple salons and only Athena's got back to me promptly saying that they would be open to doing a lash fill. I find it interesting that a lot of places don't do lash fills if the Lashes weren't originally installed by them. Athena's had no issues moving around appointments in order to take me in.
