UPDATE: Just got back from Apple Repair who took one look at the lens & said it was full of 'gunk' & dust. Detailed diagnostics showed dust particles, spots, and scratches on the glass that Nice repaired. I'm gonna call my repair at NiceRepair a loss & walk away. Can't say the man was particularly nice nor was his repair good either. Brought in my iPhone 16 pro with a cracked camera lens for repair. TLDR: the quality of photos is awful & blurry after the repair, especially zoom. Quality of photos is terrible after the repair especially in night photos. You see the light streaks in the holiday lights. Then when recording video, as you zoom in, the picture goes totally out of focus in the mid distance then back into focus as you zoom in. Close-up macro photos are not crisp. The man wasn't the most friendly person but with the reviews here I thought that wasn't important and he'd get the job done well. He was on the phone when I walked in and after some back & forth he agreed to lower the price for a computer battery down to $240 but was not willing to negotiate at all with me for the camera lens. I relented since he had great reviews. He gave me a whole $5 discount on $80 if I paid in cash. Then tried to upsell me on screen protectors for front screen & cameras. Photos & video speaks for itself. I won't be back. I'm out $75 (plus whatever it will cost to get a decent lens in my phone. It is a family run business, they have been around for 3 years, It's my hope we can keep them because it's refreshing to have new businesses excited to serve; Nice Repair does just that "serve". You can count on their work that they don't give up searching what problems your device is having, my son's desktop computer was 2 years old and the owner, "Abdul" kept working on it and like all of us, sometimes they hit a certain limitation. So he called his peer to come in within that week (asking if my pick up could be delayed? Of course I want it fixed properly so that's part of it) and on that Sunday, "Ben" talked with me about what issues we experienced which was that my son's computer was overheating, restarting on it's own, during games it would crash. Ben "the repair guy" emulates what my son does, plays the game Valorant for 20 minutes (Ben does not play games so I wish I could have been there) to wait for the game to crash as my son told him repeatedly happened and it would upset other players because their team would lose once my son's play crash freezes or what not. Ben witnessed the computer heat up, crash and realized a certain part of the internal temperature needed to be changed, he educated us that every 6 months computers need cleaning (ours needed deep cleaning) and something else too. Upon pick up, the owner helped carry the desktop which was heavy, to our vehicle; this helped me as I just got out of the hospital and was weak. I didn't want my teenager to carry it because I just paid for it to get fixed and preferred someone who knew repairs are not cheap. It's been almost a week and we've had no issues finally and I haven't heard my son complaining at all. Repair for a desktop was affordable, it is what you would think is fair rather than too much. Wise businesses know, "if you want costumers to come in, you have to charge a price they would pay and not hesitate to wait for service" and they know, in this day and age, everything is electronics so they want you to keep coming in, confident they can fix it. It's a family owned business and there is no monopoly, which means they are honest, respectable and reliable.
