Great batter, great flakeyness. The missed the mark with the tartar sauce though. It had a sweet taste, which didn't couple well with the fish taste. The wine list offers unique yet affordable options and is curated well. Numerous craft beers are available on draught as well. We started with their signature appetizer -- the roasted garlic platter. Outstanding! Two whole garlic cloves, slow roasted for hours and accompanied by roasted red peppers and Boursin cheese, served with crostinis. We then built our own Chicago-style pizza. The key to any pizza is the crust, and the crust is even more important with Chicago-style pizzas. They have it nailed at Roma's. It was the first time I can remember that I actually ate the crust-ends on a Chicago-style pizza! Ask for a side of their meat sauce for dipping -- decades old recipe that is truly delicious. The mozzarella in the pizza was also quite memorable -- It's stretchiness was an 11 on a scale of 1-10! The facility feels cozy but actually has a large capacity, including a large banquet room. A recently improved and expanded patio offers a tremendous al fresco dining experience in the summer - including live music.
