I picked up a sandwich for lunch. Never ate here before but I know I won't return. Very small sandwich for $8.50! And no, the macaroni and cheese is not made there, as the person told me when placing the order. There are authentic, and homemade deli shops in our town and I'll be sure to take my business there. Thank you.

Good food took a minute to get the food but it is like that everywhere. Similar to Panera but in my opinion better.

Too pricey.. stale bread. And let's be honest, it's seriously just a sandwich. Cucumber salad, pretty bland. $15 for a sandwich combo? Pass.

Always down for a sports bar, even though I'm not a sports guy. Well, I mean, if eating was a sport I would be an Olympic gold medalist. But since it's the off season, I'm eating for pleasure, not business. Pulling up, you can absolutely tell it's a sports bar. A lot of that has to do because it says so on the sign. But even if that wasn't there, you would guess it's genre of restaurant. The inner part of the building, where the cooking and eating take place, also speaks loudly of this restaurants affiliation with sports. One thing that was nice with this place was that the seating is spread out enough to where you don't feel packed in. There's plenty of room for movement without having to stand on a table to let people walk by. As is the custom, I ordered boneless wings as an app. Buffalo flavor. The sauce. not the animal. Came with complimentary ranch I will use and complementary celery I will ignore. The wings were good. Had great flavor and the breading wasn't too thick. I like the taste of chicken in my boneless chicken pieces. Also, as is the custom, I ordered a second app. The pizza puffs. Now, from where I come from, we have several sports bar restaurants that specialize in Pizza Puff Apps™. Therefore, those restaurants are the bar to which these will be measured. That being said, I do feel the outside of these were a little too hard. Almost had a crust. Not ideal. The PPA (Pizza Puff Apps™) I'm used to are like fluffy clouds of dreams. Like puffs are meant to be. Theses missed that mark. The marinara sauce was good and the orange cheese was great. Though they do upcharge for the OC (Orange Cheese). My Main Character Meal™ was the classic fish-n-chips. Cod: 2 pieces. Fries: Crinke. Firstly, the fries. Crinkle cut fries are God tier and I saw Jesus with these. Secondly, the fish was great. Great batter, great flakeyness. The missed the mark with the tartar sauce though. It had a sweet taste, which didn't couple well with the fish taste. Tartar sauce needs to have more of the first part of their name in it. Oh. The southwest ranch for obligatory fry dipping was fantastic. Pizza Puff Apps™: 7/10 Fish part of the fish-n-chips: 10/10 Tartness of tarter sauce: 4/10 Sports bar-ness: 11/10

The wine list offers unique yet affordable options and is curated well. Numerous craft beers are available on draught as well. We started with their signature appetizer -- the roasted garlic platter. Outstanding! Two whole garlic cloves, slow roasted for hours and accompanied by roasted red peppers and Boursin cheese, served with crostinis. We then built our own Chicago-style pizza. The key to any pizza is the crust, and the crust is even more important with Chicago-style pizzas. They have it nailed at Roma's. It was the first time I can remember that I actually ate the crust-ends on a Chicago-style pizza! Ask for a side of their meat sauce for dipping -- decades old recipe that is truly delicious. The mozzarella in the pizza was also quite memorable -- It's stretchiness was an 11 on a scale of 1-10! The facility feels cozy but actually has a large capacity, including a large banquet room. A recently improved and expanded patio offers a tremendous al fresco dining experience in the summer - including live music. The new bar top and tables are reclaimed Shiawassee County barn wood and are gorgeous. Definitely a great night out!

One of the nicest restaurants I have been to in that area I was very impressed, there seemed to be quite a few diverse selections for food also...More than just your typical burger and chicken fingers you get at most bars. I really liked the Artichoke Dip and the Flatbread Pizza on the menu. As far as service goes I was impressed from the minute I walked in the door! It was quite busy and my group wanted to start out at a table before going to the bar for drinks and the hostess Katie was so helpful and friendly and quickly got us a table and even bring us water before our server even came over!! Our server was ok, a little bit slow at brining stuff out and only checked on us once after we got our food but I guess it was because they were busy. After dinner though we went up to the bar and met one of my new favorite bartenders Mitch!! Tried one of the drink specials he offered and it was delicious and then he just started making me his own concoctions that were beyond amazing I had to get the recipe myself. He was so great we actually ended up coming back 2 more nights later last week just to see him! Overall...Not many other places to go in little Owosso..but this place is great. My new favorite spot when I come back and visit, hope it sticks around for a while.

We were planning on visiting…read morePere Marquette 1225 that afternoon and so I fired up Yelp to find a place to eat in Owosso. Barrister Brewing Company fit that bill perfectly by combining both food and beverages. We entered from the West Main Street entrance and found a pretty big space with plenty of tables for seating and then a large bar. There was a corner with games and things as well as an area with law-themed items. The ceiling was black and gave off an industrial type of vibe. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I went with a flight here. At Barrister Brewing, that consisted of five beers and they came out in what looked like a book. For my beers I chose the Sour Deposition (raspberry Berliner weisse), a MarBERRY vs MADISON (blueberry wheat), Kastysis Baltic Porter, Amicus Crunchiae Peanut Butter Porter, and finally the Alibi IPA (Midwestern IPA). The first beer I tried was the Sour Deposition, which had a nice tart flavor with a good taste of raspberries right through the finish. Second was the blueberry wheat, which had carbonation up front before the blueberry hit, and it finished with a taste of the wheat. Next was the Baltic porter, which had some sweetness from start to finish with a nice hit of darker malts right in the middle for added flavor. After that was the peanut butter porter, which had a mild peanut smell with sweetness from start to finish and an almost creamy mouthfeel in the middle. Last but certainly not least was the Alibi IPA, which had a deep and hoppy flavor right out of the gate that persisted through the finish, leaving no doubt that this was an IPA. Out of the bunch, the peanut butter porter was easily my favorite, followed by the Sour Deposition. After looking over the food menu, I ultimately decided on the mac and cheese and added the smoked chicken for an upcharge. Then I was able to choose between BBQ sauces and went with the Carolina rather than the traditional sweet and spicy. I was also surprised when given a choice of sides with the mac and cheese and doubled up on my carbs with fries. My mac and cheese had plenty of cheese with a good flavor. I don't know that I could have told you it was beer cheese if the menu hadn't mentioned it. The chicken was nice and smoky, while the Carolina BBQ sauce was nice and tangy. The fries may have been the best part of my meal, though. The menu noted that they were a special variant from Farmer Ed's that had a higher sugar content and browned more easily. I found them to be perfectly crispy on the outside while super soft on the inside. That little extra bit of sweetness was noticeable too, and I think these were the best fries that I have had in a really long time. My son ended up eating the mac and cheese and fries while my daughter ate a cheese toastie. Both of our kids were super happy with their food, so we ordered my daughter a second cheese toastie and a second order of fries for them to split as well. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. My wife and I both appreciated the drinks, and our whole family enjoyed the food here.
