I called Nicholas Carpet Care, on the recommendation of several of their customers, a few weeks ago for help with a wood flooring issue. In my efforts to clean and remove all the smoke residue from my hardwoods left by the wildfires, I used a grocery store floor stripper. Don't ever do this. It was a complete slippery disaster. It was impossible to walk on them without falling. Mark Nicholas rushed over, after business hours, assured me is was easily fixed and did so very quickly. All I can say is WOW! Talk about customer service! So, since my carpets were also in need of cleaning, I used them again. Paul arrived on time, with a mask and booties to protect me and my wood floors. He was very polite and congenial. He answered all my questions without hesitation. Then he performed a miracle on my carpets. He completely removed imbedded stains caused by a few Dutch Bros mishaps and some pet stains left by a very cranky cat. I was absolutely blown away at how fabulous my carpets look. They look brand new. We have gotten to know the owners, Paula Woods and Mark Nicholas. They are the most amazing, caring, compassionate human beings. The constantly give back to the community and are avid animal advocates. When using their services, name a charity you care about and they will make a donation to them. Stop reading any more reviews for carpet cleaners, because you'll regret it. I've used a half dozen companies in the Oregon City area, and this is by far the best and by a LONG SHOT. There's NO COMPARISON. This is the first and only time a carpet cleaner moved furniture, put a spacer between furniture and the carpet to keep the furniture from falling apart due to the liquid, took every stain out, dried the carpets, raked the carpets, cut stains from the carpets when not removable, was able to pull the carpets so they don't bunch up, cleaned the grout in tiles, was courteous and professional the entire way, and checked in multiple times to ensure everything was done up to our standard NOT theirs. Sure, lots of carpet companies can do a couple of the things above, but nailing every single one of them consistently is not a small undertaking and they have it down to a science. If you read this entire review you've already wasted 60 seconds of your life that you could have used to book their services already. CALL THEM!!! NOW!!! read more

I recently had my carpets cleaned again for the third time by Nicholas Carpet and I couldn't be happier with the results! Originally I found them through a referral on Facebook. I had them come before a new couch arrived. Of course a furr baby had other plans. And sadly we had to call them back. Fast forward a year later prior to company coming to visit we called again. The team was professional, punctual, and incredibly thorough. They managed to remove all the stubborn stains and left my carpets looking and smelling fresh. I waited too long to schedule carpet cleaning with one of the quick carpet specials before Thanksgiving. We burn with wood, have 2 cats and now only 1 pug that all go in and out all day long. Our carpet is a darker beige and 30 years old. Mark at Nicolas Carpet Care squeezed us in for a late afternoon appointment. WOW... ~!!! I was so glad he did. I have never seen our carpet have such a beautiful cream color. The difference with his professional circular scrubber "thing" compared to the push and pull wand of the carpet special services.... is like hosing off your patio compared to a power wash. The cost was a bit more but Mark "the owner" also fixed a broken metal cove piece that I thought I could just youtube and do myself. That would never have happened.... I didn't have the tools he did. They came to my house on time and gave me a quote. It was very resonable so we went with it. They helped me to figure out a plan to clean my whole house in the least disruptive way possible by cleaning half one day and half 2 days later. It worked great . I work from home so I was able to have my entire house cleaned and still work. They explained everything that they were going to do and all went smoothly. When they left carpet looked and smelled great! I have 5 pets so getting rid of that was important to us. We also raised 2 children here so carpet had some serious stains that had been there for almost 10 years. The stains that didn't come out he did a special treatment that eliminated the tougher stains instantly! Our carpet looks great, they explained everything to us before hand and it ended up being a bit cheaper than we had been quoted. The owner was great to work with and very trustworthy too. Mark is like the Gandalf of carpet cleaning--he's a wizard and the results are magical. My wife and I recently sold and purchased a home in the last few months, and ending up hiring Mark a total of 3 times because his work and pricing were so great! We had some TOUGH stains at our old place, and he was recommended to us because of his ability to remove stains you think are impossible to lift. He removed our stains and then some! We then hired him 1 more time to get a few new stains out before we moved (stains are common occurrences when you have 3 kids in your house), and then hired him again to tuck carpet at our new house + removing old carpet and installing new carpet in a few areas. Oh My Gosh!!! I am SO happy I called Nicholas Carpet Care!! They sent two absolutely STELLAR fellows over to stretch the carpet in my (new to me) Home. It was a huge living room and then the Master bedroom as well. They arrived on time and got right to work - only a couple hours later and they were done! And it looked like it was a brand new carpet!! I am so impressed! And the fellows were polite and respectful and friendly. Another great experience with Nicholas Carpet Care. This time they came to do the repair job I mentioned in my earlier post. This was a tricky repair because of the design on the carpet. They did a great job, and once again, showed up on time, explained what they were doing, and held to the estimate they gave me. It is such a refreshing change to work with a professional who is not only so good at their job, but is so customer-oriented. When its time to clean/stretch our rugs, I will be calling them again. Mark already gave me a very detailed estimate on that and I like that he broke it out by room so I can budget for the whole thing, or break it up over two different appointments. I needed carpet cleaned in my newly purchased home with short notice Mark was was able to get us scheduled. I received a reminder email the day before and a call the morning of where I was actually able to adjust the arrival time a bit to fit my schedule. Once here, the technician thoroughly explained the process and treatments available as well as providing some honest recommendations to us regarding some of the high traffic areas. I really needed some help! I called Nicholas Carpet and Mark came out to my mobile home in Oregon City to measure for stretching and shampoo the carpeting. I moved in 13 years ago and the carpeting was still very good. I made an appointment for the job to be done. He and his team arrived on time, did a fantastic job stretching and of course the shampooing which included my area rug which Paul cleaned in my covered carport. Mark and his two employees were awesome, super accommodating to get our new house ready for visitors and make it feel fresh. Our carpet upstairs looks brand new after cleaning and they got many stains out of our basement carpet and helped remove pet odors. Mark came back to retreat a few stains which he told me may be necessary and patch a section of carpet that looks seamless now. Super friendly, had fun chatting about wine in the region and he even drove me to pick up my boys from camp since the cleaning van was blocking our driveway. Great job and fantastic staff! Nicholas Carpet Care came highly recommended to me when I booked for a cleaning last week. I received a text to let me know when they would arrive. Sean was right on time, measured the spaces and got right to work. He was professional and personable. He asked which area would be best to have dry the fastest and with three large dogs our family room was it. I had Nicholas out today to repair 2 holes my puppy chewed in my carpets so reasonable in price and I can't even tell the holes had been there. He also cleaned two of my chairs that had white fabric that easily brown they also turned out great. He did all the carpets in the house I am so happy with their service. I run a dog boarding Business out of my house so you can imagine what my carpets get to deal with! I have used Nicholas carpet care for years and love them. My carpets are 20 years old but you would never know it! You cannot smell pets on my carpet. I have dogs staying at my house all the time. Mark arrived at my Piano Studio on time and did such a high-quality job. This is the only company of several I contacted, that had the skills and knowledge to actually both stretch and clean the carpet without me having to hire professional piano movers to move my full size grand piano out of the room while the work was being completed.
