Wow to Ray-Burt's incredible finish work. We are custom rug weavers, and make handcrafted goods. Matt at Ray-Burts did an incredible job hand wrapping the edges of a hand woven carpet that needed to be resized. Such tedious work. A very expensive carpet that really needed an artisan to finish the edges and Matt did such a beautiful job. I had a great experience with the company. They were all so nice to work with and they are my new go to on any finish work .. Worth every cent! I had a huge 10'x9' rug cleaned and repaired by ray burts and they were amazing! They kept me in the loop every step of the way. They got the rug out of my car, laid it out, estimated the cost, offered me a pad for underneath the rug, called when they found damage they needed to repair and rolled it up so nicely for me to pick up. They were also super patient with me when I wasn't able to pick my rug up right away because of my job. I will absolutely be using them again and can't recommend them enough! Matt is a Miracle Worker!!!! That is Matt Benson, the proprietor of Ray-Burts. My first encounter was to bring several Persian and Egyptian rugs to Mr. Benson for cleaning. A person who shall remain nameless and a cat had badly mistreated my precious Persian rug, so I had little hope of salvaging it, but to my surprise when I returned to pick up the rugs, including my Persian, they looked amazing. There were colors and textures that I did not even realize were there and not a sign of cat damage. Wow!!! But it gets better than this, much better. Recently, we spotted a 10X13 hand-made Persian rug for sale on Craig's list for a very low price, but as it turned out, the low price was for a reason. The rug looked like hell as if someone had lived on it for decades. Significant portions of the rug were worn down, so that there was no color left on the rug, the trim had all but disintegrated and the edges were torn up in huge chunks, and much of the color had faded. But I had driven for over an hour to see this rug and having seen the miracles that Mr. Benson can perform, I decided to take a gamble on it, hoping underneath it all, there was a beautiful rug. After purchasing the rug for chump-change, I drove straight to Mr. Benson and he said that he would do the best that he could, but it needed a lot of attention. He said that it would be ready in a week, but after only three days he called me with an excited voice saying that " your gamble paid off; you have a beautiful rug!!!" He said that he was able to do a lot more for it than he expected. The rug had indeed been transformed into something amazingly beautiful and the price was beyond reasonable. We've been very pleased with how well Ray-Burt's has taken care of our rugs; mostly Belgian and Indian, machine made, area & room sizes. They've done a great job cleaning them, but where they also shine is their repair work on these rugs. Curling edges, holes, and unraveling areas have all been addressed beautifully. They correctly identified for me a moth problem on a new rug, I thought it was pets scratching. They also repaired the unglued edge banding without charge on this one. read more
