I'm pretty divided with this review. First I'll start with the highs: when you eat-in the food and the service is great! Between the many things to look at (including the giant fish tank) there's always something to talk about. The food was good, we both ordered tacos. They were fresh, tasty and beautifully made- it makes you wish there was 3rd taco! The fried green beans with wasabi sauce was delicious as well, and something you never see on a menu. With all of that said, there were a couple of things that threw me off. First off being that you can see right into the men's bathroom if you're looking through the fish tank. Granted it's only the hand wash area but definitely a little odd. My husband was actually able to wave at me through it. I noticed they put a tapestry up for the woman's restroom so you couldn't see through the other tank they have, so it's weird they wouldn't do the same for the men's. But mostly what was disappointing was we had gone back the next weekend for takeout, we ordered the same exact tacos and upon receiving them they weren't the same as what was ordered. Ingredients and toppings were missing and stuff was added that wasn't on the menu. I will say the pizza was great though! But we came back for the tacos and they fell very short. Can't remember where I read about this place, but the article mentioned pizza, tacos, and "a big-ass pretzel". Parking lot (unpaved) decent size. Seated quickly, and provided menus. Allie took my order. Torn between shrimp tacos and nachos, she recommended the STs. Good choice. They were delicious, with a little kick as well. Restaurant very eclectic, with old record album covers plastered on the walls and ceilings. Two large fish tanks, the smaller of which has.an amazing light orange and taupe fish. Allie, who's been here 7 years, did not know the type...perhaps "in the koi family". Surprisingly, at least to me, they had not named him. Hereafter, he will be known as "Henry". He seemed to like the name.The larger tank is visible in the restaurant and also above the double sink in the "boys" room! Tacos excellent, as well as service. The pizza was really good, very cool decor, lots to look at everywhere. Overall a good experience

Tried giving this place a chance many times since moving here a few years ago, but the experience gets worse each time. My kids love watching the fish tanks which that and proximity to town are really the only reasons we end up eating here. The service slower each time, not just the servers but the food. Tonight confirms we will never eat here again. I went with my 4 year old while my oldest was at an event near by to be picked up at 7. We arrived before 6 and noticed many tables had cleared out so it had slowed down. Ordered an app, a kids mac n cheese, and a side salad. Sounds quick and easy right?! Didn't get our entrees until 6:56. Basically had 2 bites, packed it all up, and ran out to pick up my other child. I like to try and support local businesses, but they need to actually care about the services they provide. As someone who has worked in the service industry for many years, it's pretty disappointing. I went against my better judgement. Would have had better service and quality food from Burger King. Oh and the women's bathrooms are terrible- all locks broken, doors don't stay shut, and a CURTAIN as a wall between toilets and the dining room. read more

I very much enjoyed the look, feel, vibe, decor, and atmosphere here. Add to it outstanding and friendly service (and a beautifully sunny day) , it's impossible to not feel happy and alive while visiting. Every square inch of the walls is covered in fun/funny/retro signs and album covers and alike. Even the men's room is EXACTLY PERFECT (including retired beer keg urinals)! The full bar is completely set up to accommodate and perpetuate this spirit - I can imagine how crazy it is on a hot summer weekend night! After reading above, you've likely scrolled back to see if you were imagining only a 3 star review. Well... ummm... yea. The food. I had wings and the ahi tuna tacos...really disappointing exhibits of each. I looked over at other tables and it clicked.... Really doughy looking "Boboli-style" pizza, giant pretzels (they were big), huge platters of loaded nachos...This menu is perfect to accompany a great drinking effort. Which, BTW, is fantastically fine. But for me, who does not drink alcohol, the food sadly does not stand up on its own. Clearly from the bottle wing sauce. Menu items built on throwing layer upon layer of ingredient on top of each other to confuse the senses and not enjoy one, pure flavor. Taco composition constructed by someone who clearly loves food - but I would bet not classically trained on mouth feel and bite. I'll be back if a group of friends wants to go. Really unique spot for Litchfield. Fun place to have dinner with friends, date night , or a casual night out. The atmosphere here is definitely one of a kind. Boats on the ceiling, fishtanks in the walls, and what I imagine to be almost every obscure album known to man to cover the walls. Kids draw on the stone fireplace with chalk while waiting for pizza and tacos. The servers we interacted with were all lovely, upbeat, and friendly. What was once a great pizza place is now a good pizza place. I've been coming here on and off for fifteen years. It's been a dive bar or a restaurant, depending on my mood and company. I've watched them grow, too, and that's been wonderful. It'd been a while, but I convinced my partner to give it a try. She hadn't been in a while, if ever. The beer menu offered many local options, but she's not into IPA's or pale ales, and it's not stout season, so she had a water. She deferred to me for the food, and seeing as how they're now Bohemian Pizza & Tacos, why not the taco pizza? Fatal mistake. We started with the fried green beans. Sadly, that was the highlight, despite getting only enough pre-packaged sauce for half a person. (And why serve it in a sealed plastic container? Are tiny bowls expensive now?" The taco pizza was good, but there was no taco seasoning. There were no taco toppings. It was all unseasoned beef and lettuce, and some nondescript crema (or "cream", as I'll call this bland mess). While it was a 3.25-star burger pizza, we ordered a taco pizza, so I've got to knock it down. I will say the crust was a wonderful blend of New York and New Haven styles, with both fluffiness and char, but it wasn't enough to save the pizza. As we paid the bill, we somehow for charged over $100 extra. Turns out the waitstaff screwed up. Accidents happen, and they were more than apologetic; they made it right and I still tipped them pretty well, but that put a sour taste in my mouth after the pizza left a bland taste behind. All in all, I still like this restaurant, but after a bland pizza (they didn't even offer hot sauce to save it), too little sauce with the appetizer, and a terrible billing error, it's going to be a long time before I come back. I wish I'd reviewed them before, because I know for a fact that there's a five-star pub and pizzeria hiding under this deep two-star mediocrity. read more

If you happen upon the attached photo before reading the accompanying update, you may be understandably confused a tad. After all, the photo shows a large, richly populated fish tank, and Bohemian is not by any stretch a seafood restaurant. So, no, those fishies are all safe to grow and populate without winding up on someone's plate, and their tanks are a huge attraction at the restaurant. Kids especially love sitting near them and watching the denizens of the deep. For the rest of us, yeah, it is fun and pretty, but the big thing is, happily for all, the food. It's a casual restaurant, as many other Yelpers have noted, with a menu that focuses on pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and the like. We' ve had some stale chips with nachos on occasion, but by and large our experiences continue to be very positive: wonderfully tasty burgers, reasonably thin crust pizzas, crispy onion rings and fries, etc. The bar is busy, the servers are friendly, and it can get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. We're happy it seemed to have passed through the worst of the pandemic and remains a funky, fun place to visit in this part of Connecticut. read more

In short I met the owner by chance, they seemed short handed because it was a Tuesday a day I think they are normally closed. He was helpful, took my order and encouraged me to go hang out in bar while my pizza cooked. I sat at bar and was promptly given a free beer because it was Veterans day and I am a Veteran. People were super friendly and it was a really cool atmosphere. Took my pizza to go and was thoroughly pleased. Great dough and crust and reasonably priced. I've since become a sort of regular and have had quite a few things off of the menu and they were all very good. The mac n cheese rocks. More importantly they have a huge number of menu items that are gluten free which makes my wife super happy. Glad I took the chance and I'll spread the word on how good this place is. read more

They had a shake up a while ago and the tacos got added on, but it seems to have affected nothing in terms of quality. The White's Wood pizza was soooo good. Loved the crispy crust, pesto, portobello mushrooms and bacon. The figgy pie was good, but was syrupy sweet for my liking. The drinks were very reasonable. We sat inside where there is a large aquarium, fireplace and album jackets covering the walls and ceiling. The place is deceptive from outside. We generally really like Bohemian Pizza but we've noticed the last three times we were there but every time we order a pizza it barely has any of the toppings on it that they say are on it. For instance, today we ordered a crispy chicken pizza with onions and each piece had barely 2 pieces of chicken on it and almost nothing else with just a little bit of onions and a little bit of frizzled onion. The Bohemian Pizza is an amazing find tucked away off the center of Litchfield and may be easily missed unless informed by a local. Apparently this restaurant has been around for a bit, but was renovated only a few years ago and is growing strong since. I wasn't too sure what to eat going into this place because I couldn't find a clear and full menu on Yelp, so I made sure to take photos of my own for next time. So the place was packed when we dropped by, hopefully a good sign. While clearly busy, we were quickly noticed by the hostess, a good start whether there is a wait or not! While walking to our table, I was impressed by the fun decor and Halloween decorations. Someone here really cares and have a creative streak. The selections on the menu were fantastic as well. They had some creative choices for their specialty pies, but even without their pizza menu, they had some great offerings suitable for any restaurant. And even better, the food we had really was good as they sound! During our meal, my partner exclaimed someone in the back must really be something, although I'd go further and say that this is true from the top down. From the details to the cleanliness (those aquariums can't be easy to have around), to the super friendly servers and the great vibe all around, this is a local food joint that cares. The food: Their Loaded Tots was a good crowd pleasing starter. It was good on it's own, although personal preference, I would've liked some pickled/sliced jalapenos and a cheese sauce over melted cheese, maybe served on a sizzling skillet, but was a good time regardless. Their butternut squash ravioli was a savory sweet surprise in I think a light brown butter sauce with amazingly crispy bacon bits with sprinkles of almost decadent goat cheese, which personally I find a hit or miss - and was absolutely a hit here. Finally, I finished my meal with a slice of The Shroom specialty pizza, which we had with red sauce and bacon. The crust was fairly thin and had a good, solid bite to it, which help hold everything together, and the toppings worked well together. This place is really cool. We took a nice motorcycle ride here. Its such a beautiful hour ride. The scenic route is so peaceful. We ordered chips with guac and salsa, it was yummy. We also both ordered tacos, but I've come to realize tacos should just be your average taco. Tacos are a classic and should not be changed lol but thats my opinion. I've ordered tacos from 3 different places and i did not enjoy any of them. I would come back here and try something else, like the pizza. We sat outside which was nice and the inside is pretty dope. First of all, I can spend all day looking at the records. You can come back 1,000 times and probably notice something different and new every single time! My husband and I waited about an hour and this was on a Wednesday! The waitress was super nice but swamped! She said there's only 2 waitresses for the whole restaurant cause of Covid and no one applying so I commend her. Service was slow due to this reason but we were not in any rush so no problem to us! I ordered one of the appetizer specials which was the Jalapeño Egg Rolls which were out of control good! My husband, who HATES jalapeños, tried one and really enjoyed them. We also ordered the other appetizer special which was the Salt N Vinegar wings. I really was not impressed by these. They were more chicken tenders than wings and I tasted no salt or vinegar for that matter. The pizza looked delicious but we just had pizza the other day so we stuck with other dishes. My husband ordered some tacos - I do not remember which ones - but he loved them. I ordered the Lemon Artichoke Penne Pasta which had great flavor. I really enjoyed this dish and it was different from most things I've had before. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back if I'm in the area again. The staff & food are awesome! The BOHO Dip is a fabulously delicious appetizer. We stopped here twice for dinner after a long shift as vendors at an event. The front end manager was our server the first night and was super friendly & engaging. For the initial dinner we had the boho Mac & loaded fries with their fabulous cheesecake with their strawberry coulis. The next night we indulged in their fabulous pizza, the Pollo Loco pizza, and it was amazing. Absolutely great ambience great staff could not recommend this place more. read more

I have wanted to try this place for years. We visited on a Saturday, after the Goshen Fair. Apparently, this is the place to be on a Saturday. We waited for 45 minutes for an indoor table for four. It was a terrific pick for our family. The record covers and fish tanks were the highlights of Bohemian's eclectic decor. Despite a lengthy wait (we had no where to be, so we enjoyed watching the busy host station/ they had to turn people away at times), the service was very attentive and punctual once we sat down for dinner. We opted for the appetizer of chips with salsa and guacamole. We all attacked the chips after our wait. The salsa was spicy and the guacamole tasted fresh. Our dinner order consisted of steak tacos, a pepperoni pizza, the basil specialty pizza and the pollo loco pizza. Everyone enjoyed their choices and the leftovers were just as good. The pizza crust has a nice crunch- even with such heavy toppings as shredded chicken, cheese, pickled jalapeños and lettuce (pollo loco). The jalapeños made this pizza- IMO. I was very happy I finally got a chance to try it and both of my kids (14/9) enjoyed it- so I'm sure we will return soon. read more

We have been coming here for decades, but the place has gone WAY downhill. There was trash on the floor,, and dirty water on the ladies room floor. There is an overcrowded, large fish tank in the middle of the room, with filthy water and sickly fish. The fish were barely swimming , and looked half dead. Tried this place out the other day. It's a very interesting spot and very welcoming. What I really loved was the option for beyond sausage as a topping for pizza.
