This is our favorite pizza and grinder place! The Mediterranean Pizza is top notch and delicious!! We order delivery on the Slice App once a week and are very pleased with the delivery. It always arrives during the time frame given which is usually 40-55 minutes. My husband loves the meatball and Parmesan grinder with extra meat. That being said that the Italian food is delicious, the fries are mediocre and with delivery sometimes, not always, soggy. I still give it 5 stars because it's an Italian restaurant and not a place where fries are a specialty. read more

Frank's pizza makes an outstanding pie. The meatlovers pizza is the creme de le creme of pizzas. First; the sauce was excellent and the crust was chewy with a little crisp to it. Franks is a safe bet for dinner. The quality of their food is pretty consistent, and it's hot and tasty. The Alla Vodka Pizza was very good, had good flavors, but just a touch too much vodka sauce. In transit it shifted a bit, but was still eaten up. read more

I've ordered from Frank's a few times now. Pizza I had a few months back was decent (a pepperoni & mushroom), but I was underwhelmed with the grinder I recently ordered. Ordered pasta for the first time and it was awesome. My husband had the veal parm and he said it was the best he has had in a minute. Always have to order a pizza for the fridge every time we go. Please read this review in its entirety. Let me begin by saying this is some of the best pizza I've had. The crust, cheese, sauce, pepperoni... all just right. The bad news is that the order took 2 hours to arrive, and that the driver had to telephone multiple times in my neighborhood. He became angry at me because he was lost. He acknowledged he "couldn't see the house numbers in the dark." Well. I'd like to think a delivery person makes it his or her business to be good locating addresses, and if they can't, I certainly don't feel as though it should be my fault. Bottom line: lesson for everyone. This is great food. Absolutely. However, pizza is largely a delivered product and that's essentially half the end-consumer's experience. The pizza is a 2 star pie. Over 14$ for a single topping large, was 8 medium sized slices. If I had to use one word it would be lifeless. I took two bites and then had to jazz it up with a lot of crushed red pepper and parmesan shaker cheese just to let my taste buds know that I was in fact eating food. Not necessarily a bad thing because if there is no flavor, then there is no reason to hate it. I compare it to a Florida pizza. Floridians think their home state pies are fantastic much like west Enders of Torrington love their local pie and good for them for being so loyal. And to be honest, all pizza west of the police station is lifeless. Sasso's and Marzano's have spoiled me terribly and that Is nobody's fault except for Sasso and Marzano. Frank's has a lot of potential if they change the dough recipe and the sauce to a different brand of canned sauce. If it's still not amazing, I would try changing the cheese. As far as toppings, I can only comment on the mushrooms. They were from a can and tasted like the Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes that I showered upon them. The three employees seemed to be just a bit saddened because their heads were down and none made eye contact with me. And I don't hold that against the place because I was buying pizza, not eye contact so it's just an observation I'm sharing with you and nothing more. Took over an hour for one chicken parm meal to be delivered. It arrived with no salad dressing and hardly any sauce on the ziti. What little bit of sauce that was on it was flavorless and the ziti was dry and cool when it arrived and the salad was warm, wilted, and had no dressing. The chicken parm was also extremely dry and salty, with very little cheese and sauce. Very disappointing when you spend $20 on a meal and can't eat most of it. The pizza is good, I'll give it that. For delivery that is. The restaurant inside has little to be desired, poor lighting and dirty, sticky paper tops. There are no drinks other than bottled sodas, etc. and no alcohol (although I believe they said it's byob). Ordered a calzone which was huge but very greasy and my daughter got the shrimp scampi and said the shrimp tasted funny. Now I love calamari, and I love pizza so what should I do? Order both of course. Now of course some people make call Mari like a rubber shoe. Not Frank's! Tender, Larry, light crispy coating and perfectly spiced. I also got the Frank's works with all the goodies on it. Perfectly crisp thin crust with a little bit thicker crust on the edges. We have been eating at Frank's Pizza since they opened but last weeks dinner was terrible. We called ahead for 2 simple grinders and the woman that answered the phone could not speak good english and she kept repeating the order back to us incorrectly. When we picked up our food it was all wrong and the chicken filet was so tough my dog wouldn't eat it. Never again. It's not worth what they charge. read more
