best in Torrington. You have to try this New York style pizza in Connecticut.

Pizza was hot when it got to the table, friendly staff and helpfulness. The brick oven is what makes this pizza one of Connecticut best kept secret.

One slice, at Roma Pizza in Torrington, CT.

Better than your average pizza in Torrington. I've stopped at Roma's 3 times in the past couple of weeks, slices are decent, and last night I ordered a large sausage & mushroom pizza to go -- it was good. The place looks dumpy, and I have to admit, I'm a bit turned off by the owner smoking on the porch and throwing his used cigs in the grass in front of his establishment. You have decent food, but that is making me not want to come back again.

Minus one star because they put little cheese on the pizza . Other than that the pizza was good. Gotta love that wood flavor !!

This might be the most underrated pizza in Connecticut. It's easily the best pizza in Torrington.

This is by far the best Pizza in Town. The brick oven they cook it in seems to do the trick taste-wise.

We live around the area kept saying to ourselves throughout the night "why haven't we been here before? We've been missing out on such good food" There seems to be a lot of seating both inside and outside so that's a plus since we were able to get seated right away without a reservation on a Friday night. (they were already pretty busy) Our waitress was so friendly and super attentive even with all the tables she had. Now on to the food! Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully plated. You could tell that whoever is cooking genuinely cares about the food that is coming out of that kitchen. To start we ordered the Spinach Artichoke Dip w/ Garlic Parm Crostini and the Antipasto Salad. (Not pictured) Everything came out in great portions to share and even the crostinis were packed full of flavor which brought the dip up another notch. The salad was fresh, colorful and absolutely delicious. For our entree we both ordered the Steak Frites-cooked medium. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection and the chimichurri was herby, savory and even had a little bite to it-it was phenomenal. To add to the mix the frites had parm & garlic to make them even tastier To finish, after a very long day- we knew that an affogato would just finish this meal off perfectly and we were right. It was delicious and the candied walnuts were such a nice touch to add for texture. (My husband now has a new favorite dessert) Needless to say we will absolutely be back, and more than likely bringing many others in tow to share an absolutely wonderful meal!

The meatballs were LOADED w chucks of garlic that basically burned our mouths. Even my three year old grand daughter would not eat them- which is saying something. We threw out all the leftovers (which was basically the whole meal)- the pizzas were both charred and the cheese on them was so sharp eating them was unenjoyable. Needless to say, that's the last time we are ordering from here. Such a same it seems to be going downhill

This cafe / eclectic tchotchke store is chock full of homemade goodness:…read morefrom jam, soap, and crocheted cozies in the store section, to sandwiches, salads, cupcakes, Lebanese baklava, and other baked goods in the cafe section. They bake everything in house, with specials on some days (e.g. Sweet Bun Sunday). The selection is vast, especially considering that everything is scratch made in-house. Aromas are enticing! We picked up an orange cranberry dream bar, studded with plenty of white chocolate chips, coconut, and dried cranberries, topped with orange cream cheese frosting and more dried cranberries. It was *enormous* and easily served as dessert for four. Also in our order: a streusel topped blueberry cake, as moist as could be and filled with fresh blueberries. It was also generously proportioned, large enough for at least two. We didn't try any salads, breakfast platters, or sandwiches on this visit, but they looked fantastic, based on what I saw on other customers' plates. I found that the super friendly owners are of Lebanese descent when I asked about the Lebanese baklava at checkout -- and evidently, they sometimes have Lebanese meat pies on offer! I cannot wait to come back to try every Lebanese food item they have, since my family is passionately fond of the cuisine (and really, everything else, too). I had no idea such riches could be found in Torrington! You can't throw a rock without hitting an Italian-American in this town -- not that I would ever throw a rock at an Italian-American :) -- but this is the first I've heard of a Lebanese-American contingent in these parts. I'm so glad Yelp led me here!
