When the check engine light came back on a couple days later they had be come back in and hooked the car up. the computer said it was a cylinder 3 misfire. They had me bring the car in the next day. Took care of the issue since it was part of original problem they took care of it. Great customer service. I will be going back to them for any future problems. It got to the point I had to turn to the Attorney General for help. They reviewed my notes and determined it was a valid claim. They forwarded my notes to the DMV Albany main office. They too agreed my claim was valid but needed an outside opinion. So I went Camelot Auto Repairs in E. Rochester. I met and spoke with Doug the owner. Doug listened to my problem, went out with me and looked my car over. He detected a problem and prepared his professional opinion for the DMV. I sent his written opinion to the DMV office and they accepted it. The DMV in turn assigned a regional inspector who did get my problem straightened out. I was very pleased with Doug and his help for me. It was a very stressful thing dealing with this. 5 stars for Camelot Auto Repairs. On a final note, the time I spent with Doug, I must say his shop is very well organized and it appears he has good technicians working for him

I brought it in the following week per the scheduled appt and met with a guy there (long beard) who briefly looked it over, he told me it wouldn't be a diagnosable issue since the head unit is aftermarket, but he suggested it might be the adaptor that supplies power from the amp to the head unit. So we agreed to try a new adapter and see if that fixes the issue (loud pop comes from speakers and the stereo reboots). He took down my information and said he'd call me back the next week (which is now last week). I could tell he wasn't enthused about doing this job, but he wrote down my info on a post it note and said he had to order the part and it should be there in a week. Well I didn't hear anything back. I made an appt with them to replace the coolant and do a transmission service on my Mustang GT. So I brought it in last Friday. The guy at the counter didn't have any pricing info so I had to wait about a half hour before he told me the transmission service was going to be $760 (said it's because they can't flush it and would need to pull the pan and motorcraft fluid is expensive, which you aren't supposed to flush this transmission anyway). It was $280 to replace the coolant. $760 is nuts, so I said just do the coolant. While I was there I asked the guy hey what's the status of that part, I was supposed to get a call this week and never did. So he brought the long beard guy back in and he acted like he didn't take down my info before and didn't know anything about it. So I have called this place and made two trips there, all for a $280 coolant change on my car. They totally blew me off on my wife's car. Look, if you don't want to do the work, just tell me and don't waste my time and I'll go elsewhere. On my Mustang, maybe be better prepared with pricing information so I don't get slammed with a $760 price to replace probably 7 quarts of fluid and a transmission filter in my car. Absolutely ridiculous. This place is a total joke. From the moment I walked in, I got a vibe from them that they wanted nothing to do with me. Why? No idea. I guess they hate making money or didn't like how I looked, who knows.

Just moving to upstate NY, I have been working to get an understanding of what repairs my car…read moreneeds. Calling people all over Roc and in the more rural areas, everyone either had no clue as to what was going on and was trying to sell me stuff, or they did not even want to take a look. Talking with the guy on the phone, he was immediately concerned about my situation and car and had me drop by so he could take a look. He did not have to, but he gave his time to take a OBD2 reading of my car and a visual inspection of it. He let me know the info I was given was false. Although, he did not have time to do a repair, he also advised that I should watch out for scamming mechanics and if I ever need a second opinion, to call him. He was super concerned and did not want to see me get taken advantage of by other mechanics and their shops. People like this don't exist in NY and it's amazing to see an honest person provide input and support!

Then I took them over (a week apart) to Dick Ide Collision and Chris (the mgr) had them painted within one work day and said he'd snap them on when both were done. Well, that turned out to be harder than expected and between Chris and myself, we could not figure it out and he feared the bumper may need to be removed - yikes!
