Gyro and humus.
Ricardo W.

Great service and a tasty gyro enhanced with humus made for a perfectly good time at the "Nick The Greek." I recommend it.

$2.00 for this cup of toum sauce- way overpriced

Shout out to Christina for excellent customer service with me and everyone I saw her interact with while I was there. I've wanted to try Nick for some time and decided to make the drive there today. I came in shortly after they opened so it was empty inside and I had time to look over the menu and decided on the lamb/beef gyro meal and opted for the fries with a side of tzatziki and toum(garlic sauce). My food came out pretty quickly and everything was fresh and hot. I've never had a gyro with fries already in it, so I was anxious to try and the gyro did not disappoint. The gyro was delicious, so flavorful and stuffed to the brim with meat I appreciate they were not skimpy. I really enjoyed the fries, they were seasoned well and i believe they are hand cut. Nick's is fast causal so I do think it's a little pricey, I spent $15 on a meal. I will say though the toum sauce was great and super garlicky like I like, I think it's absurd that they charge 2 dollars for a very small cup so I wouldn't get that again, but this place is great they'll see me again for sure.

I can put up with the $20 for a smaller gyro bowl and drink after the obligatory tip requested at a glorified fast-food restaurant (I.e. place order at counter, get own drinks, have food delivered to table). The quality / taste was fine. Not sure any better than the other options in the area. Ambiance is expected for what it is. Gets the job done with no frills. What I can't deal with is seeing the individual behind the register while waiting for the food to come out, blow their nose right at the food counter, not wash their hands and then proceed to pick up the food that was on the counter that they just blew their nose in front of. Unfortunately that was just as I was finishing up my last bite. If it would have happened with my order, I would have demanded a refund. You're never getting a return visit by me after seeing that, and 2-stars is probably me being way too gracious.

Christina went above and beyond with her customer service She took the time to confirm my request, made sure everything was included correctly, and even followed up to ensure I received my food and that it was to my liking. That kind of care and attention really stands out as it is very rare nowadays! Thank you, Christina you are truly appreciated!

Food, service and location all were fantastic! Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and can't wait to go back!

17 bucks for a combo ...

From the minute I walked in Christina treated me like I was at home . She had the entire menu memorized with recommendations. I had the lamb and beef combo gyro with fries. The protein was tender and authentic, the yogurt sauce on the gyro and the shredded cheese on the fries were a perfect addition. I will be back ...

I went here with a friend! Usually, I am worried about how fresh Greek food would taste since they have yogurt-based sauces but this place is so fresh! I ordered the beef-lamb gyro bowl and the beef/lamb was very delicious. It was cooked very well and it was not chewy. The tzatziki sauce and greens were so fresh! The seating area is a bit small so I highly recommend this place for take-out considering its close proximity to residential areas.

I'm so glad Nick the Greek is in Irving. Many nights I want quick food but not fast food. I know when I order a bowl then I'll get protein, green lettuce, fresh cucumbers, tomatoes and rice. The flavor is just what I need.

i didn't know this place was a chain restaurant. Apparently they only have one location in DFW, but checking on their website, they have so many in California. We wanted to get something quick and found this place. I ordered a beef and lamb gyro combo which came with a drink and "nick fries". The gyro was delicious and packed full of flavor and the nick fries came with their house sauce and a few slices of meat on top of seasoned fries. I believe most gyro were around 10 bucks, and if you end up getting a combo with special fries instead of plain fries, it'll cost you an extra 5 bucks or so. Food was good, and service was quick. They also have different types of dessert... i didn't get it this time, but maybe next time if i'm around in the area, i'll give the baklava a try.

The flavor and texture were amazing. The fries were softer than I'd prefer, and the portion size was a bit smaller than expected. The meats--lamb, chicken, and beef--were all delicious, with the chicken standing out as my favorite. The salad was fresh, and the customer service was top-notch. The establishment was clean, and there was plenty of parking.

Nick the Greek is a regional chain of Greek restaurants that serves (very) good Greek food in a fast casual setting. It's a great destination if you're looking to enjoy a legit gyro and some Greek yogurt with baklava. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Nick the Greek can be found in Irving-Las Colinas MacArthur Park (635/MacArthur). Like most fast casual restaurants, it's simple and clean. Plenty of blue to represent Greece, but not really authentic. 1/2 Star. Service - The staff is very friendly. I've never had a bad experience. You place your order at the counter, grab a seat, and the staff will bring you your order. Bonus - you get a free baklava upon your first Yelp check-in. Food - Speaking of baklava, Nick the Greek's sweet pastry was made of layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey. If you order the Greek Froyo, they'll add a piece. I order this every time. It's my favorite on the menu. Their gyros is also very good. My lamb gyro has generous amounts of lamb and was even stuffed with fries. But my family's favorite item was the Greek fries. A huge basket of fries is topped with feta cheese, garlic, and green onions. And it works! Before I could snap a photo, my kids had already made their way into the fries with feta cheese. Nick's is a little pricy for fast casual, but there are not many places like it. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I've been a couple of times just to eat the Greek froyo with baklava. While it's not as good as Ellenos, it's the closest to my house and satisfies my craving. See you in a few days, Nick. 1 Star.

This is a chain that started in San Jose California and we have been a few times when we lived there. I was excited to see they opened one near me in Irving. We came around 4pm on a Friday. It was pretty empty. I hope this place get busier b/c it is a great "health-ish" chain in the neighborhood. We ordered the chicken skewers plate to split. It came with fries, pita and a salad. The chicken was well seasoned and tender. Next time I will order the fries well done and an extra order of the white sauce for dipping. It also seemed Weight Watchers friendly - I find it hard to believe the Falafel wrap is under 500 calories - but sign me up for lunch 3x per week if that is true! The thing people kept coming in for when we were there was the yogurt sundae. They did offer us a small sample of the yogurt after our meal, which was delicious, I am excited to try it with the baklava mix in. (There is a small chain in San Francisco called Souvla that has this combo and it is one of my favorite sweet treats when I am there). A little pricey here at $6, but if it is 80% as good as Souvla - that is a win.

While doing a food tour of Irving this was our second stop of the day. It's very clean inside and the staff was amazing when we walked in. Their menu is straightforward and I went with the lamb and beef gyro. They add fries to their gyro which I appreciated as it added more flavor. The portion size was good and came out really quickly. Overall, highly recommend.

Didn't even taste the food yet. I was completely disappointed in the portion size. Very few fries with my order. Like very few.

Looking for something new to try in north Dallas we stumbled upon Platia Greek Kouzina in Frisco…read morejust across for the Stonebriar mall. Given it was 12:30pm we were happy to see this place was quite full but still had a table for the 2 of us inside. There is a terrace which might be an option for our next visit. Yea you read that right, we will definitely be back. For lunch we ordered the octopus appetizer which was nice a tender, perfectly grilled and simply served with the most perfect vinaigrette. Nothing more than a little squeeze of lemon over it and you could have brought me a dozen more. But we had to save room for our mains. I chose the gyros salad and my wife the baked haddock with Greek potatoes and string beans. Both dishes were perfect. Not too fancy and just what the doctor ordered. Overheard several tables around us that they were repeat customers so we must have stumbled on to something good. So if you are thinking Greek, check this place out. You won't be disappointed

I love greek food, and this place looked promising on Yelp, and delivered!…read more We wanted a light lunch. I knew from studying the menu that had a couple options of combo plates. One was vegetarian (think Falafel, dolmas, etc). But the other one - The Mana You - really caught my eye: pastitsio(!!!), dolmades, chicken souvlaki, gyros, tzatziki and pita bread. + 2 sides, we got the greek beans and Lemon potatoes We opted to add a side greek salad for an additional $4.50. It also comes with a yogurt dip (so good that we asked our waiter for more and he happily obliged. We polished off every bit, but were full and satisfied. Next time I am in the area, we will be back!

A Mediterranean Gem!…read more This Greek bistro is absolutely adorable--elevated yet cozy with major island vibes. The interior is stunning: chic modern décor, plush velvet chairs, and a glowing bar that looks straight out of a design magazine. I honestly wanted to move in. The food? Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted like it was made with love and straight-from-the-garden ingredients. You can taste the difference. It's not just a meal--it's an experience. And the music? Obsessed. They play remixed, reimagined pop hits that somehow feel nostalgic and fresh. It adds the perfect upbeat backdrop to the whole vibe. Service was just as lovely--friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. Whether you're meeting friends for drinks or settling in for a date night, this place hits all the right notes. Definitely a new favorite!

I came here for happy hour with friends after seeing it featured on Dallasites, and I'll start with…read morethe positives , this place is gorgeous. The pink dining room in the back is adorable and Instagram-worthy, and the patio feels like you've been transported to the Mediterranean. Unfortunately, the service and food didn't live up to the setting. We arrived right at 5 PM and had even called ahead to confirm the happy hour menu. When we got there, we were told the menu had changed. Fine, we adjusted and placed our order at 5:30. By 6 PM, only half of it had arrived, and when we asked about the missing items, they wouldn't honor the happy hour pricing even though this was the first thing we ordered when we arrived. The meatballs were what we were most excited to try, but after waiting 40 minutes (with all of our other food already out), they still hadn't arrived. On top of that, our drinks took over 30 minutes and multiple reminders to finally show up. The happy hour deals for drinks were great, drinks were 1/2 off and they do $5 Lalo tequila. Maybe it was just an off day, but between the slow service, missing items, and mixed-up pricing, the experience was pretty disappointing - especially considering how beautiful the space is.
