    Lamb shank
    Adrian V.

This restaurant reminds me of a very nice European café with a beautiful outdoor patio and lovely indoor ambience. The music is nice and you can tell they really focus on creating a beautiful Mediterranean experience. The food is completely incredible and very unique. This is not your average Greek pita place. This is a restaurant that could easily be in Turkey for some European country. We started with the Mezza platter ( $29) - which included 6 different dips. It's pricey for an appetizer, but it is definitely worth it because it's so unique and flavorful. It was probably my favorite thing that we ate. Everything felt just a little bit overpriced for what it is. My baseline comparison is Hillstones and R&D, and this is definitely Hillstone's pricing, but not the same experience overall. My wife and I shared the lamb shank and the falafel platter and also had a side of cauliflower (which was incredible). My 3 year old had the kids item which was $18!?. it was all very very good. My wife and I had a glass of wine and the average price was $18. They also had no descriptions of what style of wine it was e.g. Cabernet Sauvignon. When I asked the server, he just recommended the Caymus. The service was transactional and something you would get at most fast casual restaurants. I get that a lot of the servers are not professional servers. For the mezze platter, it would've been helpful to have an explanation of what was on it. Basically they brought the food. They took our order and that was it. Parents: they have one kids meal which included four chicken kebabs and a side of either rice or fries ($18). The price felt very steep for a kids meal. I probably would rather have had half the portion size for half the price.

Well dang, that was delicious. This restaurant is labeled mediterranean, but the menu was more Turkish as were the flavorings. They do not have kofta or any ground beef meats if that's the Mediterranean flavor you were seeking but they have some phenomenal ground lamb/ lamb options. Everything we had was layered in flavor, moist, perfectly prepared and oh so satisfying. The restaurant itself is open and airy, an ideal place for brunch or gathering. The service wasn't warm; it was cold and transactional but not pointedly rude. For excellent food and clean, open dining room with full bar and efficient (note the not so nice) service this is a must eat at 5 starts.

Went here yesterday for work and omg definitely have to try! Love that they have the bread to start, and then I got the lamb shank, it is cooked perfectly with the eggplant sauce and served with basmati rice. The servers were very kind, and it was definitely a happening spot with its beautiful decor. I sat at a the bar since I was only one person, had a nice glass of cab. Next time I'm there I am definitely going to try the Lahmajun.

I've been here three times. Business lunch, personal lunch, and happy hour. I was so impressed with it as a lunch place. There is a reason I came back after all. The food is delicious and well prepared. When we came back for happy hour, it was kinda meh for the price. Everything jumped by about ten bucks from the lunch menu. I'm not sure if the portions change, but it was alarming compared to our last two visits. The drinks were kind of strange and expensive as well as the snacks. We left and went to blue next door for a much better happy hour. We will be back for lunch!

I stopped into Chefika for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, service and most importantly the food. Lunch started with Urfa spicy hummus, which was very good. The spice is flavorful without being overpowering. Next, I had chicken kebabs. They're served with basmati rice, beans and a tomato and cucumber salad. The flavors were perfection! I look forward to coming back to try more of the food and drinks here!

Kinda pricey. Food is delicious. Came for happy hour at the bar for discounts- 2 drinks and a mezze, $37 before tip. Service was good, provided complimentary pita and olive tapenade. Atmosphere very chic

Great food and great vibes! Highly recommend the grilled platter and the dips platter--both were flavorful and fresh. They serve lots of house-made bread and pita along with a delicious olive tapenade spread. Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out quickly. For dessert, we tried the flan, regular cheesecake, and pistachio cheesecake. my friends really enjoyed them all. Worth a visit!

Authentic Turkish food and oh so flavorful! Loved all the food here when we came here for brunch! We ordered lattes, Turkish tea, chicken kabobs, Turkish breakfast, adana kabob and lacuhmen. All the food was super fresh and flavorful. It all came out at decent amount of time and server was super friendly with great recs. The prices are on the higher end but their portions are pretty good. The lattes were decent, not the best, but glad they had it as an option. Great ambiance inside and super easy to get reservations for large parties. Also, I called to ask about halal option and was told all the meat is halal! I'd def come here again!

My friend and I were craving Mediterranean food, and Chefika Cafe satisfied that craving. This is a really charming spot with stylish decor and seating. They also have outdoor seating, but it seemed to be closed for the evening. We arrived around 8 on a Monday evening and were seated right away. Service was quick, but it did feel like our server was rushing us to order. We started with complimentary bread and dip, then shared the hummus, which we both enjoyed. I wanted chicken but wasn't in the mood for rice, so I went with the Chicken Delight. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the eggplant and mushrooms that come with it. I will say that it was a bit too salty for my liking, but still delicious overall. (I am pretty sensitive to salt, though). Parking was easy, with a garage available close by. I enjoyed my first visit to Chefika and would come again!

What a lovely place for an afternoon happy hour! We sat on the patio (which is dog-friendly), and quite comfortable. The server was attentive and friendly (even played with the pup who joined us). They have a happy hour menu, but we wanted cocktails that weren't on the happy hour menu (they were delicious and still reasonably priced). We also had a sampling of delicious mezzes. The garlic shrimp were particularly yummy. We also had the Girit Ezme (whipped feta). It was out of this world! Great flavor combinations and fresh!

Have to love this yummy fresh restaurant, lovely patio with white table clothes great ambiance inside & out. Great servers can be a little slow but teaches us all to slow down. Tiki Hubby and I are doing Keto so we loved the kabobs no rice but eggplant purée and cauliflower.

Chefika is on our rotation of restaurants. The atmosphere is so pretty and calming, the evil eye wall absorbs any negative energy, the happy hour and service are consistently great! The food is delicious and house made. It's casual and upscale at the same time.

Where do I start? This was an amazing experience; maybe because we got there early right before the rush and we got lots of attention and it was great! We made a reservation the day before and when we got there we were immediately greeted, we asked to sit at the bar and had a great time with our bartender! When you first walk in everything is super bright and clean, blue and white with lots of glass and plants, vases, flowers, lamps, gorgeous! (I know, that sentence is out of order but whatever) The I ordered an old fashion and it packed a nice punch, my husband ordered a Modelo and it was served in a nice frosty glass. They brought us a little bowl of fresh popped popcorn and some Turkish bread with dip. It was so good we ordered more bread! We also got the beet carpaccio sprinkled with pistachio, it was so refreshing and light, with a gentle drizzle of vinaigrette. To layer onto our meal we got an order of the spicy lamb meatballs which were so freaking good I still dream about them! The real star of the show was the garlic shrimp, we used the bread to dip into the garlic juice and put a shrimp on it . . . OMG!! We ordered light because we were there waiting for our first grand baby to be born and we didn't want leftovers so this was perfect, but I am already looking forward to my next Dallas trip to go back and get a full plate! Everything was perfect. They are all so friendly and fun, if you're in Dallas, GO!

The hanger steak that isn't hanger steak. Notice the "Grilled" tomato?

This coffee shop has quietly become my Dallas work-week crush…read more It's conveniently close to the office I'm using while I'm here, but the real draw is the vibe. Beautiful sunshine pours through big windows, there's a lovely park right outside, and the light is so good it feels like the café equivalent of a good hair day. Dallas weather helps, obviously--but this place knows how to use it. The space is lively without being chaotic. Plenty of outdoor seating, lots of indoor seating, and a very reasonable three-hour Wi-Fi window that keeps people working instead of camping. It feels intentional. People come here to stay, not hover in line. Speaking of which--there's never a line. They're clearly well staffed, everyone's efficient, and everyone is genuinely nice. Now, pastries. This is where they shine. A lot of unique options you don't see everywhere, and everything I tried was excellent. The almond croissant? Fantastic. The blueberry cake? A must-get. I went two days in a row (because obviously), and on day one they told me it was their most popular item. Day two, by 11 a.m., it was completely gone and kept selling out as soon as they tried to restock. That alone tells you what you need to know. The matcha is good--made from scratch, which I appreciate. Is it the best matcha I've ever had? No. It's better than Local Johnny's, but not quite on the level of Marin Coffee Roasters or Ralph & Rose. Still very drinkable and enjoyable, especially if you're settling in to work. What really sets this place apart is its personality. It doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter café or "insert minimalist coffee brand here." There's charm. Character. A little whiteboard with a joke about New Year's resolutions that made me smile. Small details, but they matter. Would I come back? Absolutely. I already did--twice. I'd recommend it especially for locals looking for a solid work spot, co-working with a friend, or anyone who wants to be productive without being bothered. If you're visiting Dallas briefly, this might not be a destination café--but if you're here for a bit and want a reliable, pleasant, sunny place to work and snack, this one's a yes.
