You normally write a review about the food. I could certainly do that because it's delicious!! And the service and atmosphere is excellent. But as a tea lover, I have to tell you... they have the best you can find! Add a shot of lemonade, (verging on an Arnold Palmer) and it is so good!! It deserves a shout out! I don't really think of myself as a tea connoisseur, but I do not like a lot of the places famous for their sweet tea. I have loved in Houston for a decade and have never eaten at a Jason's Deli until this week. I was happily surprised by the quality of the food! I arrived about 11:15 and beat the lunch rush. I received amazing g service and wish I took more photos. This location has a salad bar and many drink options. There are tables and booths and half booth tables too. I am on a no Carb diet and experienced maybe the best salad of my life, thanks to another Yelper. They didn't even ask and had dressing on the side... it was so yummy , no dressing was even needed. I also had 4+ sugar free not water drink options. What a win!!! read more

Andre took our order and was very friendly and patient as I was standing there with my four kids, one whom just became a flight attendant and I had just picked her hungry butt up from the airport. He was even patient and unbothered as my 9 year old daughter and I split the payments because she wanted to help pay for lunch with her hard earned lemonade stand money. We were there at 2:30 in the afternoon and the place was not busy at all, our food was out in minutes. Foods good and fast, no complaints. My husband and I come in once or twice per month, and my parents always drop in when they're in town visiting. The food is always hot and fresh, and the service is wonderful. I do a lot of takeout from here, and one of our orders was missing the side. They didn't hesitate to make it right, and that's why we always come back. Also, their app ordering is super easy, and the food is way more flavorful than Panera. If you have lunch here after 11:30, good luck. This place draws up a crowd. Need better quality control on the bread they serve. On multiple occasions I've ordered sandwiches from this location (both breakfast and dinner). The croissants are always bad ... old, stale or burnt. Not sure why this location has this issue. I've ordered from other Jason's Deli locations with no problem, but the bread from this restaurant is consistently bad. Our family have been long time customers at this location as we live close by. Food was good tonight but Employees need training to address customer concerns and night manager today is not competent. We were sitting in the first row of booths in the middle booth eating our meal at 9:00 pm. Two employees one wearing an apron sat in the first booth Behind me and plopped down hard on the bench behind me causing my bench seat to raise several inches suddenly jamming my lower back as our bench seats were connected. The employee got up twice in about two minutes and plopped down again jamming my lower back repeatedly. I made a comments each time and got up the employees were both looking down and would not acknowledge me. I went to the cashier and asked a large man if he was the manage. He said he was so I explained what happened. The manager told me they had replaced those booths and there was no problem with them. I explained to him again what happened, the manager was clueless what to do. We won't be back. read more

Usually we like to go here but will have to rethink that after finding not just one but TWO strands of hair in my sandwich in different halves. Also I usually I like to eat my sandwich in the store but my chips later for a snack. So I typically ask for my baked lays to stay unopened in the bag. But they wouldn't do that this time. Grrrr. On the plus side you get a free cookie if you like them on Facebook. But on the negative side you have to like them. I did like them until the chips issue and then the hair sealed their fate. Ok now when I was getting my order in of course I get a trainee and 2 other staff members had to help him, I ordered a to build sandwich simple 9 grain artisan (def. not artisan bread) roasted turkey cheddar cheese which I only got 1 slice and mayo (I said extra on the mayo and I got a tab bit) very disappointed in my sandwich which coasted close to $10. Not worth it. I also ordered a broccoli cheese soup which is one of my favorite soups did not taste cheesy at all it was more like cream and broccoli where was it? This place sucks compared to the average Jason's. Ordered the new sirloin sandwich, see all these folks around me getting huge sandwiches piled high with meat and out comes mine on a huge dry roll with like 3-4 tiny slivers of chewy barely edible meat posing as "sirloin" total BS. Sandwich was dry, literally 90% of the sandwich was bread onions, a sliver or two of bell peppers. And as bad as the sandwich was the au jus was even worse; like someone took 2 gallons of water and dropped in a single beef bullion cube. Flavorless, and kind of had the taste of stagnant water -- truly disgusting. Also provided me with an entire plate full of potato chip crumbs, not a single discernable chip just crumbs of varying sizes. All for the low price of $15. Absolutely garbage food; poorly assembled, poorly executed, only saving grace was my drink was decent which was also overpriced at $3+. This Jason's literally screams mismanaged. The main reason I go to Jason's Deli is for chicken chili and learned today that is now discontinued! I had to settle for the regular chili in the taco salad which was ok but not chicken chili! To help resolve my disappointment, I ordered a brownie (drown my disappointment in sugar) and they didn't pack it in my bag! ugh! The cashier didn't' give it to me or If I was suppose to pick it up there were none near the register and the packer only packed the main meal! I called in for a delivery order and was told it will be up to a 11/2 hour delivery time. That is way to long in my opinion so I decided to do pickup instead. This particular Jason's Deli is on Kingwood Dr. but a little off the beaten path. It is far enough away from I-69/Hwy 59 that most of the customers either love or work in Kingwood. I've only eaten here for lunch. They have never been so busy that I have difficulty finding a seat. As a Native Texan, I understand this is a Texas Deli. If you are a Yankee, this place isn't a "deli" as you know it. I've been fortunate enough to eat at a real deli in the Northeast and, alas, Jason's Deli is no comparison. Everything might be bigger in Texas, but bigger isn't always better (it pains me to say that out loud). The food is prepared fresh when you order it. They have the typical sandwiches we all expect in a deli. However, they also have a very good salad bar and pretty good soups too. Plus, how can you argue with free ice cream at the end of your meal? With that being said, the customer service here is good. You can order catering online and earn Deli Dollars which can earn you free food down the road. Did I mention I'm eating free today with my Deli Dollars? So, come on in, enjoy the food, and take it for what it is...A Texas Deli with decent food...and free ice cream. I've only ever grabbed to-go and delivery from here, but I've also only ever had a great experience at Jason's Deli. First off, I love that they have a wide variety of options. You can get pasta, sandwiches, salads, muffulettas, or a giant baked potato. Their ingredients are fresh and their portions are quite nice. I'm in love with the caprese sandwich and chicken club. Their New Orleans oil herb infused ciabatta is amazing, and their hummus is made in-store which is fab. The famous salad bar is full of fresh veggies and toppings which makes a simple salad really a filling meal. My dirty little secret is that I steal the individually wrapped cheddar pumpkin seed crackers on the salad bar and use them as energy snacks for later. They only take delivery orders until 6:00 pm which is a tad annoying, but if you call ahead they've always had my to-go orders waiting upon arrival. Everything seems clean and the interior is a cross between a diner and a sandwich shop with TVs usually on CNN. They have fantastic options for kids and gluten-free/special diet types. If you buy a salad bar, you automatically get a free soft-serve ice cream cone! Honestly, if you're tired of greasy/guilty fast food delivery, Jason's is a nice change. Very rude. It's not busy at all and no one waited on us. A busboy stepped on my foot and ran into me while picking up trash and barely apologized. This was my first time ordering from Jason's. The Texas style spud was soooooooo bad, I would call it gross. The barbque sauce tasted awful and on top of that, was looooaaaaded with sugar. Sugar can't make bad bbq sauce taste good. What I liked was the fact that the serving size of the spud and the fixings where your money's worth. Even so, it was not eatable due to the sauce. All right, recent visits have made me raise the rating. Today was the thing that moved them back up to the respectable AOK rating. The Veracruz sandwich wowed me as did the attentive care I got from the team. I did get frustrated because their salad kiosk didn't read my credit card, but if it had, I would not have gotten the sandwich because I would not have seen the sign for it until it was too late. Anyway, the facilities are not yucky. My fellow reviewers have commented on cleanliness, but that has not been an issue for me. The staff has been more miss than hit, but that seems to have improved. I have really not had any problems with their food. It's good, solid Jason's Deli favorites. So, I'm removing them from my Skip It list and they're back on my regular rotation for lunch. I know most Jason's Delis are pretty much the same. One thing that can set one apart is the free icecream. At many locations it's icy and gritty. Not here! Here it's creamy, light, and almost fluffy. I also like how Jason's Deli clearly labels vegetarian items and has a decent variety of vegetarian menus options to pick from. I usually get the spinach very wrap. Im from Ohio and I have been searching for a deli that can make a Corned beef sandwich the way they make them back at home. This Deli Is It!! It would have been 5 stars but it took 3 visits to perfect it. The first sandwich didn't have enough mustard, the second sandwich bread was toasted too hard, but the 3rd sandwich was a Work of Art! They were Very attentive to the changes I requested. My host was Chance on 2 of my visits and he is Amazing! Funny and knowledgeable about the foods offered. I ordered lunch to-go through the online feature. I'm hoping that the quality of food is better when you eat in restaurant, because to-go my sandwich was DISMAL. I ordered a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (classic, no-fail option, right?). When I took my first bite I got a mouthful of bread. I opened the sandwich and there was literally a blob of peanut butter and another of jelly. Whoever slapped the sandwich together was so apathetic about their job and the quality of what they put together that they couldn't grab a knife and spread the fixings across the bread. Maybe the person who prepared it thought it was going to a kid instead of an adult and assumed that no one would notice, maybe because it was to-go they knew that we couldn't go whine to a manager, maybe they just don't care.
