I arrived about 11:15 and beat the lunch rush. I received amazing g service and wish I took more photos. This location has a salad bar and many drink options. There are tables and booths and half booth tables too. I am on a no Carb diet and experienced maybe the best salad of my life, thanks to another Yelper. They didn't even ask and had dressing on the side... it was so yummy , no dressing was even needed. I also had 4+ sugar free not water drink options. What a win!!!

Visited early. Nice to have real food. Not your same breakfast sausage, eggs. Love the previous but it is chilly and wanting soup. Restaurant clean. Staff nice. Excellent customer service. It was early so not many customers. Will visit again. Salad bar looks very appealing.

Good food and service. Always clean. Great for getting yourself a healthy meal. they have a pick 2 option as well where you can get half of 2 items and a side. They have salads, a salad bar, sandwiches, soups, bowls, & desserts. We always love that you can get free ice cream too. I recommend signing up for their rewards program to get some freebies.

Fettuccine Alfredo so yum, split a portion with my daughter and was satisfied. Andre took our order and was very friendly and patient as I was standing there with my four kids, one whom just became a flight attendant and I had just picked her hungry butt up from the airport. He was even patient and unbothered as my 9 year old daughter and I split the payments because she wanted to help pay for lunch with her hard earned lemonade stand money. We were there at 2:30 in the afternoon and the place was not busy at all, our food was out in minutes. Foods good and fast, no complaints. Oh and the kids eat free is on tuesdays, my daughter and her dads traditional weekday dinner. Free ice cream too after your meal.

Italian Po-Boy sandwich and chips.

Great place to grab a sandwich, soup, salad, and a few dishes. Free ice cream after the meal!

that's about the saddest looking fruit i've ever seen and yes there was and up charge. that's all the fruit they have nothing eaten yet except the sandwich. also the undercook bread. we've came before and the food was 10 times better. definitely disappointed for $32

Back then, I believe we used to have a flyer/menu from them that some employees ordered from. I visited on a cold day where most of the customers were taking their orders to-go. The setup is a little confusing at first, but you just go down the serving line and stop when someone asks you for your order. You can get a tray, or not, depending on how many plates or dishes you ordered. The ready area (for dine-in customers) is weirdly placed in the middle of the line and the spot for to-go orders is at the end of the line next to the last register. Once your order has been places, you grab the ticket and take it to a register. This setup reminds me of a little local deli I used to visit regular in Stafford. I will say that their selection of hot sandwiches and specialty sandwiches is limited. Most are 1 protein only which is probably how they can keep their prices so low. I asked the order taker if you could customize or make a hot roast beef sandwich or toast it and first she didn't understand me, then she just repeated the two hot sandwich options from the menu. I again asked can you make the sandwich toasted, then she said yes. The sandwich, by default, comes on French bread. I wasn't familiar enough with the menu to pick another bread so I just stuck with French. I chose provolone cheese. It comes out after a few mins and it's nicely toasted and ended up being a nice size sandwich with an adequate meat to bun ratio. The sandwich also comes with a pickle spear. I also added a cup of homemade chili which is pretty decent. The meat is finely ground and I prefer it to be more coarse, but the flavor was good. All of their entrees and side dishes have low prices. One of the best deals is the "classic" sandwich which comes with prosciutto. An even better deal may be their baked potatoes with 4 toppings for only $2.09 weekdays!

My wife, my son, and I were driving back from a trip to Livingston when my wife suggested Chicken Salad Chick. At first I thought, "Only chicken salad?" But she started listing the options- buffalo chicken salad, barbecue chicken salad, chicken salad with apples and grapes, plus pimento cheese. So, I figured it was worth a try. The restaurant has a trendy, down-home vibe, kind of like being at a cool aunt's house. The girl at the counter was great and very helpful with ordering, and I like fast-casual places that bring the food out to your table. I ordered a Dixie Chick chicken salad sandwich with macaroni and spicy pimento cheese. My wife got the Classic Carol on a croissant with broccoli soup and grape salad, and my son ordered the turkey club with macaroni and a side of buffalo chicken salad. The chicken salads were fresh and tasty. The Dixie Chick and the pimento cheese were my favorites. The macaroni was a bit of a letdown, not bad, just nothing special. The other standouts were the broccoli soup and the grape salad. The Classic Carol was good but a little plain for my taste. I also tried the red velvet cake, which was really good with excellent cream cheese frosting. Overall I'd recommend it, especially if you want something different from the usual fried chicken spots.

We try to support local Kingwood are restaurants and hadn't been to Union Kitchen in quite a while. We arrived and asked for a table for 6, the dining room was busy so they said it would be a few minutes. Then 3 more of our group we hadn't expected arrived and the hostess quickly let the servers know to make our table larger. We only had to wait 8 or 9 minutes and were seated in the side dining room which was great as it was not crowded so it was easy to talk without a lot of ambient noise from the more crowded main room. I believe one of the assistant managers began taking drink orders as our designated server was finishing up some tables nearby. She had a great sense of humor and quickly went to get our drinks. FYI, they have both an All Day menu and a lunch special one which we hadn't seen before a their website so that is an option and is a bit less expensive with smaller servings than the All Day one. As it was April 15, they had a special small Tax Day menu where everything was prices at $4.15! What a cute idea! We all ordered our lunches and soon we were enjoying what was brought out. I had the special lentil soup and the blackened salmon tacos, my wife had the 1/2 lb classic burger and the house made potato chips. Everything was excellent. Glad we stopped by for our group lunch.

Four years on and we still enjoy doing it. This month was back to an old favorite, Fire Craft BBQ. Not only that, there is a lot of variety and specialty dishes on the menu that most other BBQ places don't serve. We had 14 in our group and were able to pull together some tables and chairs in the large additional dining room they added not long after opening. The room is clean and well lit, big ceiling fans keep the air moving. Our group ordered a variety of things; I had the brisket hamburger with a side of the very southern yellow squash casserole. My wife had the chopped beef sandwich with fries and another friend had the chicken plate with beans and coleslaw. Others had their tocos and other sandwiches, one had the ribs. Melts in your mouth. Jalapeno sausage was delicious with a nice snap. Ribs were very good also. Pinto beans with pulled pork are insane good. Way more pulled pork with it than I was expecting so that was a nice bonus. Everyone in there was very friendly and checked on me a couple times making sure everything was good with my food. They have to-go boxes, which I definitely needed. I took home about half my meal. If you are in Houston or in particular the Kingwood area, make sure to check out Fire Craft bbq.

We found the staff to be attentive and they did an overall great job of adding things to our salad bowl we asked for, even adding some more of an ingredient if it was something we really liked. My wife pretty much got a straight up vegetable salad with a big mix of ingredients. I opted for a more "healthy" one with the addition of kale and spinach, garbanzo beans, feta and at the end I paid the upcharge for half an avocado and a salmon fillet. We were quite satisfied, I kind of felt my salmon was a little overcooked and dry but they probably do that so it keep well and appeals to a larger group of customers as rare cooked fish is not always desired. While there, I used the restrooms which were clean and shiny. Overall we felt the entire restaurant was spotless and kept very clean. The only thing I would fault them on is that the surfaces of their tables show a lot of wear, probably from the metal bowls the salads are served in. They really need to upgrade all the tables with new ones in my opinion. For that and the dry salmon I give them 4 stars out of 5!
