Are the most fun playgrounds kind of worn and missing grass in the favorite areas to play? This place is a bit worn and as noisy as any playground I've seen! The COOL thing is they use nickels for the tokens! I'm not sure when the last time I saw a real coin as this is 2023...Some of the arcade items gave tickets that could be redeemed for "prizes" of obvious sentimental value. (The blow up 5' tall purple Alien would make a fun item to hide in the bushes next to the front porch on Halloween, I was thinking. Here for a 5 year old's B-Day celebration. This place is very easy to find, plenty of parking and there are some close by places to eat! (the smell of Cajun spiced seafood almost diverted me to the aroma origin than this arcade.) Cost is reasonable. Service, well, this is a Arcade for kids, I think they do as well as one could! The floor appeared to be the only thing worn as the paint had lots of worn areas. The concept of this place is great. Admission is $5 to get in. Toddlers 4 and under are free. Once you get in, you play games with nickels. $5 gets you a cup of 100 nickels, which is more than enough since most games were about 4-6 nickels each. Most games give you tickets, which can be used for prizes. There were plenty of games to choose from and it kept the kiddos entertained. However, this place is a little small. We went on a Friday evening and it was crowded and hard to get around. It was also pretty loud. Since we were there for awhile, my little needed a diaper change and unfortunately, there were no changing tables in the bathrooms. If there were more space to move around and better prepared for families with littles, this would definitely be a place I would bring my kiddos to more often. It's an easy way to keep them entertained without spending too much money. read more

This place was filthy dirty. I dropped a nickel and almost touched this dead cricket. Floors are filthy with gum and gunk. Place needs a deep cleaning and sanitizer. Of the two locations this one is the newest. They have a great assortment of games and a nice lineup of pinball machines. Response time for fixing problems is very fast. Plenty of space for birthdays and other parties. If you're retired like me and want some non hectic game time you can head it during the day when the kids are at school. They charge a cover to go in which is a bit odd honestly. The games are more than a nickel. It's gonna run on average 5 nickels per game. Most of the games worked when we went and we did have a good time. The places is smaller than I imagined and didn't have as many games which increases wait times. Prizes weren't that great. At the end of the day, my kid loved it so we will give it another shot. read more

After frequenting the older location I thought I would change pace and come visit this location assuming it would be more updated. I did not have a good time at this loccation as many of the machines were out of order and taking my money without warning. There was such chaos with the amount of guest in the building that I did not bother to ask staff for help as everyone was quiet busy. Guess I just came at a bad time with younger children. read more

This place is totally awesome me and my boyfriend come all the time just for cheap fun there's often nickels found on the floor which is always a plus!! The employees are very helpful when the games are unresponsive or steal your coins and there's a huge variety of prizes. (You can save your tickets also for a bigger prize!!) read more

Wow, I grew up going to the Beltline location and this took me back to my childhood! Clean, working games, and quick staff! We went here for my niece's birthday on Saturday. The place was clean and there were many games my kids enjoyed. If you buy your entry ticket in advance, it saves you a few bucks. However, there were four separate games that we needed someone to come and retrieve our nickels. Minimum wait time for that was 15 minutes. I waited over 30 minutes at one game as I was staring at three employees on their phones behind the counter. On the fourth time (for that game) they finally sent someone over. Yes, I know they are just nickels, but customer service is severely lacking. And don't get me started on their "prizes." What a joke. Bottom line - work on your customer service and get some better prizes. read more

Took the kids for winter break fun. Pretty much all these games eat the coins. The game asks for 6 and when you put in the 6 it moly's says 2/6. I think we spent for more time asking the teens who work here for help with the machines eating the coins then we did playing. This was a new place for us and probably won't come back. read more

This is the new Nickelrama in Garland in the Firewheel area. I like that it's new and so far taken care of and clean. It is much more roomier than the Beltline one. I do wonder if they'll be filling it up with more games though. We rented a table for a birthday party. If you're ready to be reminded that you need to leave your reserved table not once, but minimum three times within your hour and forty five minutes, go for it. I found it so unpleasant and annoying. Definitely felt rushed. Our guests kept asking if they had to get up. I really think they should have a party host employee that oversees the parties and makes sure you'll be ready to leave the table when it's close to your ending time. Won't be renting there for a party again. Rant over. read more

This place is way too small and noisy for a birthday party. They need to take out a row of tables and stop being greedy to give people more space . There is no space between the tables for 2 people to pass. Also turn the noise down a notch, kids where crying and covering their ears. One hour and 45 min is not enough to decorate the table, eat and clean. The people tell you to leave everything on the table that is trash but when they came to clean they're asking you to put them in trash by yourself- they need to get on the same page. RUDE!!! Very rude "supervisor/manager." We booked a party here and I came by earlier that day to get cups of nickels ordered and ask if we could show up earlier than our reservation to set up. The girl at the counter said yes. So we showed up early. We checked in and everything seemed fine. The tables were all empty and our table had reserved signs on them. Right as our guests showed up we were informed that because we showed up early our time would be cut short. We were the ONLY party that night and every 15 minutes they made a rude announcement overhead about us getting off the tables. Our original reservation ended 1 1/2 hours before they closed!! Now we were being verbally harassed to get off the tables 2 hours before close. I had spent money on decorations and snacks and we barely had time to get everyone to the table for cake. We were then told we could hold our stuff on a half table. So we cleaned up and did that and then the manager proceeded to encroach on our half table. Finally we were done being polite and pushed back demanding that we have a place to sit. I have never been so embarrassed at the behavior of a place. My guests felt unwelcome and my party was ruined. I'm glad we hadn't ordered pizza. We would have been eating on the front sidewalk. We won't be back. read more
