Nick's is awesome!!! Crab cakes are amazing -- incredible place with such warm hospitality.

I have been coming to Nicks for over 30 years. Beginning with accompanying my grandparents on Friday nights and always coming back for their amazing crab cakes. I've always recommended Nicks to everyone who asks who has the best crab cakes in the area- hands down, it's Nicks! Sadly, tonight we had a bad experience- not with the food- not with the dinner service (our server, Erica, was wonderful)...Instead, our party of 17 was basically treated as though we were unwanted guests by the hostess. Squeezing 6 teens and 3 children into a corner booth and the rest of us in two adjacent tables. Rather than giving us the extra table next to us so we actually had space for the plates in front of us, the hostess refused stating it was "another servers section". Unless you're a party of 4, you're probably too much hassle and they'd rather you not show up at their door. read more

Saturday night meal! Brisket Tacos slow roasted brisket, lettuce, mango and avocado salsa and a 114 Salad the House Salad with craisins, candied walnuts, feta cheese, bacon & jumbo shrimp. The salad was huge of course everything you'd want in a dinner salad! The tacos were delicious tge brisket was melt in your mouth! The Mango avacado salsa truly paired well! After living in New Cumberland for over 20 years, we finally made our first visit to Nick's--and we were blown away. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and impeccably clean. The service, though a bit slow due to the busy evening, was friendly and attentive. We started with the large portabella mushroom stuffed with crab--phenomenal. That's a must-order again. But the real surprise of the night? The lobster roll. As someone who's traveled extensively through New England, I was hesitant... but I took the chance, and I'm so glad I did. It was, without exaggeration, one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. Food- I would recommend the wings, they are GREAT!!! If you went there and was satisfied with their food, then why not go back? Try their wings! Service- The service is VERY quick; most of the times it is only 15 minutes (approximately). The servers are very nice and interact great with you. Ambiance- A bar that is always packed with people. Tables are almost always packed. I would get a reservation just-in-case if you're planning to go there. My favorite part about Nick's are their wings! I am sure you will like them, too, just give them a try! (: :) The only reason why I gave Nick's 4 Stars is because there aren't a lot of items on the menu that I like. We went here to have Irish coffees and when being seated told the staff we are only going to have Irish coffees nothing to eat. They seated us in a booth and later the waitress was angry we didn't order anything to eat. The manager came out and basically threw us out telling us we have to order food or leave. I explained we had told the person who seated us that we are only here for Irish coffees. The manager blamed us for the confusion. I will never go back here again nor will my two friends. My first time at Nick's was the week of Thanksgiving, and the place was packed. It really has the feel of a hometown, locals get together, and hangout kind of place. It was super casual but trendy sort of dining room with a lot of space. The menu has a lot of really good choices and we all had a difficult time deciding. I really enjoyed my French onion soup. We have been going to Nick's for many years. After last night 1/10/26 we will not be going back. Service was sub par, fettuccine alfredo was greasy, brisket was too fatty and there was a hair in the salad. It almost seemed that they pulled someone off the street to be the cook. Great hometown restaurant. Service is fast and attentive. We always get the crab cake sandwich, which is packed with lots of crab. Last time we went, the kitchen finally upgraded to a brioche roll, which the crab deserves. Great change to the sandwich. Give Nick's a try! read more

Nick's is a great restaurant/bar near the bridge in New Cumberland. On the evening we visited, Nick's was bustling and had plenty of obviously well-trained and attentive staff. We sat at the bar for drinks and service was quick and friendly. My draft beer glass was very chilled and the beer itself (Yuengling draft) was also cold and refreshing. The restaurant has lots of TVs with many different sports selections. Volume was appropriate and not overpowering. Four stars only because we didn't try the food--but the restaurant was well-occupied so I think that says something. I look forward to dining at Nick's on a future visit. read more

Great food. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is we always order to go and pick it up and the phone seems to always be busy or off the hook. Frustrating. My husband goes there and orders and has a beer to wait for it but that's getting old. But very good food. Nice people. read more

Great hometown pub! Shepherd's pie is a classic. Service is always consistent and it's nice to see Nick always making the rounds.

Recommended by some local people we met at a nearby distillery. Service was fantastic with a very enthusiastic waitress who explained, recommended dishes and beverages. Food was home made, huge portions! Ambience was very cool, busy on a Monday evening. Highly recommended! read more

This is my aunt's favorite place so we have busted a few times when we come to town! The food has always been great and so is the service. TV's are everywhere so you can watch sports while you enjoy your night out. I've tried crab cakes, onion rings, salads, brownies, fettuccine alfredo , and their Reuben. Packed restaurant for a Friday, but they had it all under control. Our meals came out fast and we were well attended to despite the busyness of the evening. I ordered scallops and the portion size was literally double that of another establishment I had recently visited so I by was very pleased as it was every bit as good. Loved my lobster roll and everybody loved their food also! I thought it was priced pretty reasonably for the amount of food you received. They had a really nice craft beer selection also. The only downside is that they don't take reservations, but if you go during the day it shouldn't be hard to get a table. I definitely want to try the crab cakes next time. read more

I know I'm being too generous as I do not give out 5s too often. I think this is a hidden gem. Part of me wants to gate keep but they totally deserve the hype. I came here on a whim with a gf. Her hubby found the place a long time ago and it gives a New York diner meets dive bar. It has a small parking lot and amazing service! I'm sketched out by seafood due to where we are but this lobster roll was amazing and I think they have happy hour? We didn't make it for happy hour but this lobster roll was so full of lobster and flipping delicious. I'll be back and will try to get other things...but that lobster roll is pretty banging. Definitely a local place. The server was just about as nice as can be. She really made our visit. Ordered the crab cake tacos. They came out in a timely manner and well presented. Plenty of crab cake in a soft tortilla. The crab cake wasn't lump meat but it is PA. They were very good and the price was reasonable. Always seems to be the place when you've got a friend and say "let's go get a bite to eat", you know everyone will find something on the menu they like, you always get a table quickly no matter how busy, the servers know how to handle a room without making you feel rushed. I've enjoyed their crabcake sandwiches, their taco Tuesdays. We always have had a good server, to me that usually means happy employees that like working for the restaurant owner or manager. Most often it's a go to place many of our friends and us if it's not for a special occasion as in birthdays and anniversaries, then we kick it up a notch with a more formal place with linens on the table and dishes I wouldn't take the time or expense to make at home. read more

Up until a few weeks ago, I would have told any visitor to the area that Nicks has among the best crab cakes around. After three consecutive visits, each where the cc's were made differently and all sub par I'm backing down off that recommendation. They are smaller, way more breading and lacked the unique sweetness of a Nick's CC. Hopefully they get things back on track. read more
