My fiance got a special of lobster mac and cheese dang it was goooood!!! I also tried the crab soup which was amazing!! I ordered mayapples famous wings got boneless for $15.50 and I tried the mayapple sauce which was amazing!! Went back again a 2nd time the waitress was seriously the cutest little button it was her 1st month she was super nervous but she did an aamazing job!! This go around we started with coconut shrimp for $12 which are amazing!!!! Then we decided to try the phyllo wrapped baked feta for $9 it was delicious!! I would have just liked more honey on it but it was amazing!! I then ordered the blacken salmon comes with 2 side for $26 it was cooked amazing and was awesome!!! Let me start off by saying the service was great! Our waiter was attentive and tried to be helpful. It was pretty dead around 7:30 pm on a weekday. Lots of tables open inside and it looked like they have outside seating too. Okay so - the food is very hit or miss. It's either really good or really, REALLY bad. No in between. Coconut shrimp and seafood soup of the day (cream of crab): tasty, just wish the soup came out hot. Cocktails: Bahama mama was great but orange creamsicle was gross and curdled. Entrees: my husband's seafood Alfredo was really good. The entree I wanted was not available so I got the Surf and Turf. BIG MISTAKE. I asked for a medium steak, which you can see was beyond well done and I could barely cut into it because it was like leather. Our waiter did come by to tell us that people always send this steak back since they added it to the menu, which I wish I knew when I ordered it. It was so bad - literally the worst steak I've ever gotten at a restaurant. Was going to send it back but it was closing time, so my dog will eat it (although even our dog eats better steak than this haha). The side of rice was also the worst I've ever had - it smelled and tasted horrible. The mashed potatoes were good and so were the au gratin scallops. The creme brulee dessert was amazing. So - you might love what you had or hate it and never want to go back. You don't get a discount or the meal removed from the check if it's bad, even if it's so bad that it literally shouldn't be on the menu. We had dinner plans with another couple and a gift card ... despite lack luster expectations on the food, we decided the company would overshadow the mediocre food. We made a reservation, and they asked me to shift it 15 min due to how busy they were. When we arrived it was pretty much empty but it's HUGE inside so it's hard to tell. Someone took us to our table. Someone else brought us menus and took our drink orders straight away. No beer or cocktail list on that menu but the gentleman quoted the tap list, which was longer than expected. He told us our sever would be over shortly. Our server came to take our order ... rattling off questions faster than we could answer ... not writing anything down ... but asking for confirmation along the way as he missed a few things as he hurried us along. Salads came out quick, though he forgot 1 of 4 dressings which took a while to arrive. Meals took a little longer but did arrive together ... sort of. My mashed potato side never came ... and I was done with my $34 "surf and turf" before the server returned to check on us. My filet was maybe 1/4 of an inch thick but the crab cake was good. We asked for bread early on but it didn't come until we asked again, when they finally brought my potatoes. Needless to say it wasn't really worth that $100 we paid for 2 meals, 1 soda, 1 pint of Guinness and a tip. My chicken Alfredo had great flavor but it did come out just warm almost cold. And the garlic bread that came with it was very hard and crunchy, basically a garlic bread crouton. The service was okay, the waiter did get multiple things wrong, like we asked for honey mustard but got ranch. Wanted America cheese not provolone. I will start by saying that I gave this place one star because its not possible to give zero stars. My family and I went to this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon for lunch because we have been there several times before and it was okay. Not this time. At all. After being seated, we ordered drinks, 2 soft drinks and two alcoholic drinks. The soft drinks came out almost immediately but they apparently had to distill gin and brew beer before the other two could come out because between the time they were ordered and actually came out, they had the time to do both. I should also mention that the population in this place was just shy of being a ghost town. My sister loves prime rib so when I pointed out that it was "available Friday, Satruday, and Sunday", she immediately closed her menu. Two of ordered the Ceviche and my brother-in-law ordered a steak medium rare. About 2 minutes later, the waitress came back and informed us that the prime rib is only available after 4:00 PM however that little detail seems to have escaped whoever wrote the menu, which caused her to have to look at the menu again. She ordered the scallops and STEAMED broccoli. When the food FINALLY came out, it did not come together so some of us had our food and some of us had to wait. Two of us required a second round of drinks, which we had to ask for because either the waitress didn't know what an empty glass is or she's blind. We all wish we had waited to go there. Waited indefinitely. The cauliflower aoli on the scallops could best be described as having the essence and taste of a sock that has been worn for a month and the broccoli was saturated in butter. The steak was medium well, more on the well side than medium and the chips served with the Ceviche were stale. Not hours stale, DAYS stale. We would, of course, have mentioned all of this to the waitress, but she never came back to the table after bringing the food and since we were hungry, we ate what we could. However, these issues WERE brought to the attention of the waitress when she finally returned to clear the table to which her only response was that it was their first day with the new menu. I'm not exactly sure what that has to do with crap service and crappier food but apparently the new menu justifies being worse than a 50 year old McDonalds run by toddlers. $196.00 later and still hungry because the portions weren't large enough to satisfy a newborn baby, we left because apparently the new menu has them so hamstrung they can't do anything about either the food or the service. It also, apparently, causes managers to vanish into thin air because we couldn't get one of those either. Believe it or not, it gets worse. I rarely call a restaurant to complain, but for this I made an exception and forced my starving, emaciated fingers to do some dialing. I asked to speak to a manager and within a very short time, a "manager" was on the phone. I'll explain the quotes around manager in a bit. I told this "manager" what transpired during our visit and she promised to have someone call me the following day. If you thought their drink times were bad, you should see their callback times. Oh, wait. That didn't happen. I waited until Monday and called back and asked to speak to a manager but was informed that there was no manager there and if I could explain why I wanted to speak to a manager, Jennifer Barric, who is the GM, would return my call which, to her credit, she did. When I told her the "manager" I spoke with was female, she acted confused because according to her, she's the only female manager on staff and the "manager" I spoke with was female. She was also confused when I told her I called back Monday to speak to a manager and was told there wasn't one there because according to her, there WAS a manager there, which leads me to conclude that somebody was lying to me. I went through the entire story AGAIN, and the indignation at our experience was quite evident on her part. Or maybe not. She really should go to Hollywood because that act was incredibly convincing. She of course tried to get us to return by offering a gift card, which I declined, opting for the offered refund instead. With the promise of a refund that would reflect the experience we had, the call ended. The refund reflected what their food and service is actually worth, that being a whopping, gigantic, huge sum of $35.00. On bill that was just shy of $200.00 with tip, and yes, the waitress was tipped. We will never be back, especially because if this is what happens with one menu change, what happens when they change it again is an experience I would rather avoid and in fact, I would rather get a massage with a jackhammer than return to this sorry excuse for a hospitality establishment. read more

We had a party of 20. The table was set ahead of time. The wait staff were organized and pleasant. Our orders arrived hot and delicious.

Great food great service in a comfortable relaxing setting. My wife had the Seafood Bisque to start it was light and creamy She decided on a Crab Cake for dinner which she said it was all lump crab no filler and seasoned perfectly she added a side salad and mashed potatoes and for desert she had Creme Brûlée. I had the Shrimp & Crab Alfredo with Tortellini tender fresh shrimp with lump crab meat tossed with multi colored tortellini and served in their Homemade Alfredo sauce it came with a side salad this is a very filling dish and it is very rich. I travel often for work and frequently dine at fine dining restaurants. One of my favorite parts about traveling is trying new restaurants, but when I'm home I take my family to Fiddlers at least once a week. It's not fine dining--more of a bar and grill--but they have a variety of food choices for everyone. They offer burgers, sandwiches, pasta dishes, and steaks. One thing that has always impressed me about servers in fine dining is their ability to memorize my order and not write anything down. The callout from a previous review mocking a server for not writing anything down strikes me as someone who should stick to the value menu at Chilis or Applebees. That being said, if you're worried about service, I would suggest requesting Jay or Shawn as your server. As regulars, we have always had the best service experience with Jay and Shawn. I typically get their lumped crab cake sandwich or dinner. A new item stuffed flounder appeared on their menu. It was less than adequate. The crab was some kind of shredded crap not their usual lumped crab which was what I was expecting. The Mornay(I think) sauce was cold. The cream of crab soup was delicious as was the salad with their Oriental dressing and the dessert cake was eatable. Since moving to Carlisle, I have heard about Fiddler's multiple times. Finally I had the opportunity to try it and was not disappointed. I sat outside and enjoyed the view of their patio water feature and the golf course. I tried several items and, while I wouldn't say anything was special, it was all especially good. I had spring rolls, a chicken Cobb salad, chili, carrot cake, ribs, rice pilaf and mashed potatoes (yes, I like to eat). The rice, mashed potatoes and carrot cake were my favorites. The ribs were tasty but the sauce was a bit sweeter than I prefer. The chili was pretty good but would not rank among the best I have had. The salad was, well, salad. Overall, this is a good eatery in Carlisle that is worth many return visits. And next time, I may play a round of golf to work off the big meal. read more

I was disappointed with Fiddler's during my first visit. When we made the reservation, we specifically requested the gold course facing table and were promised that. Unfortunately, that day it was raining. When we reached the restaurant, the big patio party reservation someone else had, had been moved indoors due to the rain. And, all the tables and chairs had been stacked next to the window where our table was. The stack blocked our view of the golf course. Coming to food, the only positive comments I have are for the desserts I tried - both Tiramisu and Baklava cheesecake were good. I was disappointed by the bare minimum vegetarian choices. I was very disappointed in my visit. The very limited covid menu had very little to offer. The original menu was far more inviting and appetizing. The service was the second issue. The server did not know the menu or specials. In fact i ordered chicken rice soup. What i got was chicken and stars. Yes a up scale place like this served Chicken and Stars. The gyro should of been better quality. If pay for better you should get it. I had good experience here in the past. Don't know what is going on but wow. This was our second visit; the first time was unremarkable but this visit started off terribly... our reservation was for 6:30 and were actually seated a little earlier... and here we are 6:48 and still no waiter or waitress. No water, nothing... The group of four next to us said their service was terrible and the food wasn't much better and they had he Prime Rib which was that I planned to order; needless to say I changed my order. I'll comment on the food if we decide to stay. Update: we decided to stay. Management got involved after several tables complained about the service. For what it's worth, the food was pretty good and the service greatly improved after our waitress was replaced. I had the Rise and Shine Burger and it was great. read more

Just went in for mother's day today and the brunch. They have a pool table , poker machine and pretty laid back atmosphere so I stuck around a while. Lemme tell you , the food was amazing, the brunch menu offered some nice variety and man did they pack in a crowd for the few hours I spent there. Towards the end I even overheard the waitresses frantically talking about them running out of food. I mean well yeah with food like that and crowd to boot I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. Sure I'd hate to be the ones who it ran out with but I'm sure somehow some way the staff would offer an explanation as well as try to resolve any issues.
