You know, you just can't please everyone in the automotive industry. The truth is this, real mechanics put years of experience into their trade, and deserve to be paid for that expertise. Further, working on cars is not an "exact science" anymore than diagnosing physiological illnesses is. Sometimes the problem is obvious and easy to fix, other times it's not so obvious and requires multiple approaches before the issue is resolved. That said, here's the deal. Alan is a phenomenal mechanic, and has been the only person I'd let put their hands on my vehicles since well before he started at Gordon Auto, he is an honest, trustworthy mechanic with decades of proven experience. If you need your car fixed, and you want to be treated fairly while receiving quality work. Bring your car here. If you don't really care, or you think your neighbor can do the work for less, then let them do it or take it somewhere else. Yes, they can be a little slow, they're busy, and they don't have 40 mechanics on staff. Claiming they overcharge is a sign that you don't appreciate the labor, claiming they do poor work is a sign that you're an implacable customer. There is no better auto shop or mechanic staff in all of spring and the surrounding area. My whole family uses Gordon Auto due to Alan's candor and skill. You should too.

The passenger AC was blowing hot air. I read about Gordon automotive on-line. They have a history of experience working on older model Cadillacs. They also have all of the equipment needed to diagnose and repair Cadillacs. They had the vehicle over one week before calling us to pick it up. They did a good job but I have no idea why the work took so long to complete. The original owner (the Cadillac guru) recently passed away. Not sure if this will affect the quality of service. His wife is running the shop now.

Took it in due to grinding noises. We were quoted $1214 for just the drivers side rear break pads and caliper. We will stick with Pronto Automotive, may not always be the fastest but he is honest, and very reasonable. I will say the staff at Collins are very friendly. Update: Only brake pads needed to be replaced total out the door at the other place $159.29

Visited this place on a weekday afternoon, told the representative that I wanted the inspection done and he told me to leave the keys inside and wait in the customer lounge area. The lounge was decent with big chairs and sofa, had a fridge with refreshments and restrooms. My service was done in under 15 minutes and the inspection cost me around $26 (prices may vary). Quick service, a decent waiting area and good prices. What more would you want?

Instead, I left with approximately $800 in damage. They chemically etched my headlights, gouged the paint protection film on my hood, chipped my infotainment screen, and somehow still couldn't even properly clean the wheels. When I returned, I was repeatedly told to come back later or the next day. After obtaining repair estimates, I simply asked for a refund and either reimbursement or their insurance information. Instead, I was told I was being "aggressive," ordered to leave, threatened with the police, and refused their insurance information. Rather than take responsibility, they chose to stonewall a customer whose vehicle they damaged. Now they'll have to deal with it through the legal system. If you care about your vehicle, take it somewhere else.
