Another woman, working that counter, diligently assisted multiple customers with their orders and then she addressed us after seeing that we'd been sitting there for a while. The app didn't say that the order was ready, but she checked and it was. I asked about the extra Frisco Sauce that we'd requested, and she assured us that it was there and gave us a strip of paper with a QR code for the drink fountain. The fountain area was somewhat of a mess, being that it is self-serve and people are messy. Someone approached us wanting to use our codes. Having already used them, we told her that we didn't know if they would still work. She proceeded to help herself, immediately after us, and was able to pour herself soda in drink cups that she'd already acquired. I don't know if that is theft of beverages, but we were not involved! The extra sauce that we paid for was, in fact, not present. We approached the takeout counter and requested them. With sauce acquired, we braved the doorway and kept our heads down as we exited, so not to be accosted by the people acting as unofficial doormen and made our way back to our room across the street. The famous red bag with the red chicken was in my hot little hands. The sandwich bun glistened as I pulled it from its foiled lined pouch. Little pieces of fried chicken hang outside the bun. I cut the sandwich in half to see a row of pickles under the juicy fried chicken. The sandwich was delicious - crispy breading perfectly seasoned with a tender chicken filet. The bun was light and buttery. I really liked it. I was surprised by the low reviews on this location. I keep seeing the little chicken bags walking all round town.
